Anybody can train for it, some people are genetically more explosive without training than others that don't train for it though. I'm kind of one of those, I can not work out for a pretty long time, and my stamina and muscular endurance will go straight to crap, but I'll still be able to sprint short distances, change direction, and jump pretty well, it's just something I've always been able to do.
You can train cold tolerance by doing wimhof meditation before taking cold shower. Always listen to your body when training or trying something new if you feel you need to stop listen.
@@dgundeadforge17 i do occasionally take cold showers. They are ice cold well water. Plus my house is high 40°F to low 50°F in winter. Furnace heats one room. But working out is always nice to stoke the fire. And stay warm.
Better yet, add all of his training methods(Batman training Overcoming Isometrics, etc...) structured to be a BJJ, utilizing his all around training modality to complement his fighting skills. True functional training.
Maybe he could hone his attention onto one discipline, but then again maybe just consider his discipline as "Master of all disciplines". Focus on one, and he loses in another.

Love the video. Just a tip on depth jumps when trying to minimize ground contact time, utilize minimal knee bend and attack the ground. Think no eccentric. Start attacking down just before impact For good examples check out high jumpers like janik klausen, who has a ridiculous RSI.

Can you do a video on how to work all your muscles in body and having even amounts fast twitch slow twitch muscles. Also Having equal coordination, having a balance between flexibility and muscle having a good mind and muscle cordination.(basically having the most well rounded body) And how you could apply all of this to your training. Another thing I think you should touch on is dieting and how the most well rounded body would look like. I know a video that pretty much touches on everything would long but I would watch it all the way through or you can make series instead. Btw I recently subscribed and I absolutely love your vids.

Not the best thing to do btw to jump back down after a box jump. Risk of damage to knees increases, you're effectively doing a depth jump right after a box jump. You should just lower yourself down after the jump and then reset
I feel like if you want to talk about explosivity you should really do a deep dive on tricking. Those guys are able to generate crazy levels of power in multiple directions with precise control with very short contact times with the ground.

In regards to rest sets for plyometrics or any power related movements I believe Dr Andy Galpin had mentioned the use of cluster sets as being beneficial. As I interpret cluster sets its the act of doing 3 micro sets of perhaps 3 reps, resting for 30 seconds in between, then after those 3 sets are concluded taking a 2-3 minute rest in between the clusters. I like the idea of doing it this way because I feel such a lull in training if I only perform 3 box jumps and then sit around for several minutes.
Can you make a video on how you could fully train yourself. As in make a training schedule or something that goes over a week or month or whatever that trains all topics to have the most well rounded body. Edit: include diet I don't care too much for looks
I just want to caution against dropping off a box jump. I landed wrong and hyperextended my knee and I haven't been the same since. I suppose you cab say this type of thing with any exercise, but stepping off the box is just much safer
@@slushyslushy7777 I'm not crippled, but im not sure if I'll ever be able to squat/ deadlift heavy again. My knee's capacity feels like it was lowered, like its running at 65% instead of 100. I'm still able to work a hard labor job, and I run, do yoga, exercise fine. But, if I were a young athlete, I wouldn't be able to wrestle, hold my own as a lineman, steal bases, etc. The same way as before. It's like a bungie cord, if it gets too stretched it won't go back to its original taughtness. You can still use it, but it might be a little loose

The forces produced in things like sprinting and jumping exceed those in "strength" movements. It's not stronger vs weaker, it's faster vs slower.
