Thanks for your reaction. You are right that Miyako (brunette, guitar) smiles and has fun on stage less often than other members of LOVEBITES. According to her psychotype, Miyako is closer to introverts. On stage (at concerts) she is more immersed within herself, focused on her performance. But in ordinary life, Miyako is a very sweet, sociable, often smiling lady. You are wrong in that Miyako is not as popular as the other LOVEBITES members. She's very, very popular. Besides the fact that Miyako is an excellent musician who can play guitar, piano, keyboards, bass guitar, drums, etc. she plays a very important role in the band. Great reaction, thanks. Have you seen the MV of Spellbound, where one of the roadies tries to offer a Keytar(guitar-piano thing) to Miyako and she pretends she doesn't want it? But of course she finally accepts it and plays it beautifully, as you would expect from a musical genius. So she DOES have a sense of humour! Personally, I could watch Miyako's guitar solos, or her classical piano recitals, for hours😍
Thanks for the reaction..Metal Queens always bring it..and respectfully youre 100% wrong about Miyako (dk haired guitarist) she is very engaging, and has as much fun as anyone in the band..she just doesnt always wear it on her sleeve..many videos of Queen Miyako on her own channel..i hope youll take a few minutes and check them out @ Miyakos official channel..
What Miyako plays on the guitar or piano is so difficult that she is hyper-concentrated. But she knows how to smile and laugh, just watch, on her channel, the trips with her friends or with Asami (the singer of the group). And when we see some videos behind the scene we realize that she is not the last to joke and sometimes to be excited like a little girl because of the stress before the concert. But it is certain that she will never have the same behavior on stage as Midori who is a Rockstar in the good sense of the term.
Miyako (dark haired guitar player) has her own YT channel with many videos filmed in her own studio, and she's happiest with Wampa! Also, some piano stuff, guitar shops, unboxing her signature Dean guitar, etc. If you watch the "We the United" live video from part 2 of this show you can see Miyako and Midori laughing at or about someone in the crowd.
This song here is the new bassists first ever concert performance with Lovebites. That is why Asami gives her thumbs up when she is doing her bass solo lookalike thing!
I believe the show where Miyako and Haruna walk off last smiling is the older version of We The United the one connected to Edge of the world as a double video.
A little more about Miyako. Piano, guitar, bass, drums, songwriter, animal lover, at home she has a dog named Vampa, named after an animal from the classic Star Wars saga (Miyako is an avid fan), an owl named Fukuhara-san, a python (according to some reports, even three snakes) and a parrot named Chocobo- Kun.

Excellent choice of song - but then they all are! Miyako is a very happy bunny and there are lots of videos to show this but her on-stage persona is the unsmiling/ice-maiden look. That's all it is. PS Band-Maid released the 4th live video today from their 33 song concert dvd which releases next week - called ENDLESS LOVE.
Miyako, actually, probably is the most popular one! It's very likely that her classical upbringing and training is the reason for her intensely focused look during most songs, but there are moments where she breaks out of that onstage, especially lately since Fami joined. great reaction , thank you, Asami says when she enters "we are back!" because this is the first song from the first show after 2 years hiatus due to c19 , and from the original bassist who had left, the selection of the new bassist Fami and from Asami and Miyako's marriages and the birth of their children , Fami in this video at 20 years old and for the first time playing in front of a big live audience , but her youtebe channel has 650. 000 subscribers 😀if you want to see Miyako and all of them smiling a lot this is the right video "We The United "(Official Live Video taken from "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate - Part II") ruclips.net/video/UnNxvgLI_Rg/видео.html
Miyako is an extremely focused individual and treats playing an instrument with the respect it deserves. She has a very laid back personality, is very unflustered and, quite frankly, a musical prodigy. Having been lucky enough to a) be in that audience right there and b) months later in Osaka, having Miyako shout “hi” from several feet away because I am wearing my LOVEBITES shirt (in Japan you only see those at LOVEBITES gigs believe it or not). She then came up to me and engaged me in a ten minute conversation, never once looking impatient, needing to be elsewhere, maintaining attention until in the end I was the one who thought I’d had more than my fair share of her time and thanked her and we said goodbye. As I walked away, because I had told her I was in Japan until the very last gig of the tour (though not at every single gig…just 3!) she turned around and said “enjoy Japan”. She is as charming, personable and respectful as beautiful and talented (and up close she’s breathtaking). LOVEBITES are the most tight knit band I think I’ve ever seen. Notice when Fami was standing on the eagle step when the two guitarists were leading the crowd in clapping and she is playing the grooving bass line. Asami, mid vocal, notices her and cannot help breaking into an ear to ear smile after seeing Fami. Why? Because at 21 Fami is playing like a veteran in the first song of the first concert of any true significance in her life. That’s LOVEBITES… they are a sisterhood of bright, bubbly, happy women who outperform any male band you care to mention. I love them.
Miyako (lead guitarist/pianist at stage left) is a generational genius. Her persona on stage is stoical and she's totally focused on her craft because of her classical training since she was 3 years old. When not performing LIVE, you'll see a whole different side of her and she's definitely not unpopular.
Well...this may be a strange interpretation, but Miyako's main job is as a classical pianist with a career spanning 30 years. Classical musicians generally focus all of their attention on playing their instruments.
Kiyako and Midori are in my personal opinion 2 of the best guitars Players in this time joined to another moster on her instrument as Fami she is amazing Lovebites has done a great choice to have her inside the group Haruna it's...a FANTASTIC drummers there's no doubt she is the best drummer in heavy metal in our time ...Great reaction from you Miyako it's a sweet person when not in stage and a smiling person but when she perform she's into the sound.
Miyako is the shyest but she does occasionally smile onstage she smiles more offstage there's a video where they throw the picks and sticks to the crowd and the last 2 off the stage waving and smiling as they went were Haruna the drummer who is 4'9 have heard Asami is taller than Haruna at 5'0 but some claim her at 4'9. also walking off smiling at end of show is Miyako
Miyako is the main songwriter and makes all the arrangements - she is a musical prodigy!!! She doesn't have to laugh like an idiot while playing! She is laser-focused, and if you want to see her pleasant personality, go to her RUclips channel. Just name one guitarist from the whole US or UK metal scene who giggles like an idiot while soloing, just one and I accept your premise...
Miyako was a classical train pianist, and taught the music moves the listener not the performer. Off stage (her YT channel) shows the fun loving side of a musical savant. No one plays Thrash better LIVE than this band, no one. This was the first show(s) after a long hiatus to find the new bassist Fami and it was her first appearance LIVE with the band. Not too bad for a rusty group of performers...LOL. If you want to see some more insane talent then Empty Daydream LIVE with piano. bluesy vocals, gang and backing vocals, the M&M guitar show and a wicked bass line with exceptional cymbal work by Haruna. ruclips.net/video/lXh_uMM94jU/видео.html
I think you are misinterpreting what you are seeing. I see her as being very focused on what she is playing. also note there are two guitar players and how they contrast persona wise with one another.I I dont deny she is probably more stoic than Midori but I think most of it is a planned stage persona to contrast with the animated, agressive Midori. I have seen videos of Miyako in previous bands and when Lovebites were support for Dragon Force, she was animated, smiling and dancing around
Amazing "coming back" show with the new bassist (Fami)... that's why Asami screams "We are baaaack!" when they start. By the way, Miyako is a very kindhearted person, and if you check her channel as someone suggested below you'll surely confirm it there. On the stage she is clearly a powerful musician with a strong classic background (and in classic music musicians don't show openly their emotions, do they?). Greetings from Brasil!
"Break The Wall" LIVE 2020: ruclips.net/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/видео.html Empowering THRASH with a soulful/bluesy interlude? Yes! It can be done, perfectly!
WIthout Myiako no songs. she write pretty much every song of lovebites. she is just like that people are like that thats why i like her. she does her own thing dont care about others.
Asami is 4ft 10in. Haruna (drums) is 4ft 9in. Miyako is usually pretty stoic on stage as she admits to being nervous. Check out We The United from the part 2 of this show to see her a bit more relaxed.
Miyako "not the most popular one" man have you got that totally wrong. Both Modori and Miyako have lots of fans as ofcourse do Asami, Haru and Fami Miho
as stated by many - miyako is mostly all business on stage. but in reality she is much warmer and funny than she appears. i would recommend subscribing to her youtube channel and checking out the numerous videos she has done. everything from piano covers to explaining her guitars and equipment choices and a lot of other cool stuff. then you will see the real miyako. resident musical genius. and for a killer smile here is a link to the live version of 'signs of deliverance'. i would say it's one of their best but they all are. you will love the dual guitar solo with midori and miyako front and center : ruclips.net/video/ZFNrk19fKgg/видео.html
The quick beat is two beat. Asami is 4'10" and Haruna the drummer is 4'9". The dark haired guitarist Miyako actually is a playful happy person off the stage but she is so concentrated into her performance on the stage. You'll know how friendly she is to the other members as you going on your journey with Lovebites.
For many of us other Relic's who gravitate too Western Arena Rock/Metal. Lovebites fires on all cylinders for us. The Contrast of how Amazing they look with the Heavy and Technical as Hell Music they are dishing out is Truly Remarkable. This band has an Ultra High Energy and Positive vibe about them that is also noticeable.
I am pretty sure Haruna, the drummer, is the real short one. Not sure of her height but under 5 foot. Ironically, from what I see, Miyako, the one that dosnt smile, seems to be the most active on social media. She makes lots of vids. Is always smiling and mild manored, with a playful sense of humor. She seems to try to be super helpful and respectful of her fans and is the one most likely to just show up unannounced at an even t and play guitar or piano. Not saying the others are not the same. Just saying I see her do this way more than the others. Oh, she is also the tallest member at 5'1"before Fami joined. Fami looks taller to me.
@@rolandkarlsson7072 I have read that both Miyako and Fami are 5'2" which is average for Japanese women. Fami tends to wear Lzzy Hale type heels which make her look the tallest.
Miyako is the Black Swan. She is a talent the likes of which comes along once in a generation. She could wear a potato sack and a Kabuki mask and stand with her back to the audience and I would still pay attention. She writes half their songs and is also a virtuoso on both piano and guitar (maybe even more on piano). She is also a solid bassist (plays many of the bass lines in their demos) and a decent drummer. She also plays several other instruments. The emotion comes out in her compositions and her playing. Believe me, she is loved and appreciated for the genius she is.
definetly a wrong impression: onstage miyako takes no prisoners and is superfocused. maybe a result of her classical music training since she was three. if you want to see her smile, wach the last song of the second show "we the united" live 2023 it´s the lovebites and wolfpack anthem.
Well Miyako lovely Miyako, she’s so focused and that’s her personality BUT if you want to see her smile, here’s one from this same concert ruclips.net/video/UnNxvgLI_Rg/видео.htmlsi=3UDDZC63nqDQK04O the song, fantastic song by the way. “We The United” 🐺
This is probably repeating what many of others have said but Miyako is always hyper focused and a bundle of nerves at the beginning of their shows. This lessens as the show goes on and there are a few "simple" songs they play where she can loosen up. For the most part, though, she is much more reserved on stage than the others. The original bassist and band founder, Miho, was also more on the reserved side. With new bassist Fami joining Midori and Asami up front, Miyako is now clearly the lone introvert. As an introvert myself, I know that I would be the exact same onstage. I prefer that she be true to herself onstage and concentrate on the music, much of which she composed. I also have a feeling that Miyako is a bit self conscious about her smile. Another problem is that Lovebites performs live much less often than other bands. They have performed only 64 shows in their existence with their busiest year being 26 shows in 2019. They only performed 10 times last year which is unusual for an album release year. I don't think Lovebites will ever be a road warrior band so performing will probably never become routine enough to lessen those onstage nerves.
All members of LOVEBITES (except Fami) have a pretty decent amount of concert experience. I mean the previous bands and artists with whom they performed and continue to perform.
Actually, Miyako is very popular. Even if you just go by the RUclips shorts, 3 months ago they had put one out for each band member (the focus on videos), while Miyako and Fami hit over 200k viewers, which is very far ahead of the others.
dude Miyako is a sweetheart she shows her feelings though her playing not every one can jump around the stage the things she is doing on the guitar requires way more concentration then you might think. to see the real her check out her channel Miyako's Metal TV and you will see her smiling and laughing and being quite the nerd at times . on stage the "ice queen" persona perfectly offsets Midori's wild antics it is all part of that act . Miyako is a one of a kind musician and is often misunderstood by reactors lol , remember also that she is a classically trained concert pianist and you do not see them jumping around on stage at the symphony lol hope that puts her into perspective for you brother , Cheers ! (edit ) I see I am not the only one here jumping to Miyako's side we all love her . please forgive our enthusiasm .

IT's called a Blast Beat. She was doing a slower version. This was the speed of the blast beat that I like. Sometimes it's played so fast it's just noise.
Great reaction. You were so astonished you forgot to remind me what it was like to be young. The Warning are going to Japan in June. Playing with Band-Maid one show. Should be epic!
Absolutely misinterpreting. Everyone in the Wolfpack knows who the ultimate genius is in the band. It's Miyako. Her stage presence is her focus, her drive for perfection. Off stage (social medi, she's human. She's inspired me to play guitar. I will be doing so with her Dean USA Miyako Signature V Flame Maple Top Transparent Red 2020 guitar, exact model she's plays.
What's ironic about this performance, showcasing Fami, is Miho, original bassist & band founder, wrote "Hammer of Wrath". Miyako has written half of the music for all of Lovebites Songs, Asami does the Lyrics. Off stage she funny and little silly. Also she has a pet constrictor snake at home! She is a musical protege on another level than any of your rock/metal heroes. She has her own YT channel. Last thing she has a beautiful smile!! Test Question: What Japanese Group/Band was the first to be the opening act for Metallica?
Yes , as far as Miyako is concerned , you are COMPLETELY misinterpreting what you are seeing . Not everyone can be all smiley , smiley when they're working ! There's enough smiles and animation going on with the other 4 without it being necessary for Miyako to whirl around the stage like a dervish - in fact she provides a great counterpoint to the others and is EXTREMELY popular with all of them . Offstage she has a great personality but on stage - it's business !
Give Miyako a break. No one's ever seen me smile either. That doesn't mean we don't enjoy what we're doing. We're just wired differently than most people.
Miyako is more involved in this concert overall. If you want to see yourself correct yourself on her, check out We The United and M.D.O. from this same concert.
“We are Lovebites, and we play Heavy Metal!” ‘Nuff said. Yeah, I’m sure MIYAKO’s music would sound better if she would only smile more, as I expect your wife’s food would taste better if she were to smile more. Maybe she would appreciate that constructive criticism. I recommend you look for videos of MIDORI and MIYAKO practicing together, or talking to MARTY FRIEDMAN on ROCK FUJIYAMA, to get a fuller sense of their personalities and chemistry. You might conclude that a consummate professional like MIYAKO is a fun loving woman who has no time to waste mugging for the camera while playing music for paying customers.
Normally, the Japanes trinity is Nemophila, Lovebites and BAND-MAID. A trio that now has got a child, Hanabie, and now is a quartet. Yeah, if we let Mexico, with the Warning, be there also we have quintet. Some people will add more, but for me, this is a good start. Five is a chram!
Miyako is all business onstage and very focused on her performance. Offstage she's quite different and her personality really shines.
Miyako is very popular amongst the fans. She's a genius and onstage she very focused!
Miyako is the most popular, likable, admirable and talented of Lovebites. When she’s not on the stage, she can be quite goofy. I love Miyako.

LOVEBITES - The Hammer Of Wrath lyrics:
What's the worst way to die?
Burning to death, or drowning?
Everyone laughs in derision
There's no hope at all
Why is the world rotting away
Howling in pain, they slowly die
All of the sorrow is murderous
The insanity
(Burn up)
They're calling me
(Burn up)
It's do or die
(Burn up)
Get ready for hell
(Bring down justice to the wicked)
Don't look away from the mistakes
Open your eyes, and see the truth
When lightning cracks the blackened sky
Listen to the screams of distress
It's like a bad dream but it's not
No way to get out, a living nightmare
Bring down the Hammer of Wrath
Who will be the next to burn?
God only knows the victim
Everyone knows they are innocent
All the hope is gone
In despair they pass away
There was no hope to begin with
Even the angels are giving up
Looking down on us
Will this night ever break dawn

“This chick is a genius” Loved that. Did you ever hear anyone ask why Tony Iommi doesn’t smile so much 😂😂😂 Keep em coming. 🤘🏼🤪🎸🔥🥁🎤🤘🏼
I find it odd you never seem to see mosh puts in Lovebites videos.
I'd expect to see pits spinning fast enough to create their own gravity field.
Instead of "M" you have "K" : " Kiyako and Midori are in my personal opinion" 😊
@@GrayFox14I know ..i did not notice at first ...just a mistake on typing .... 😇😇😇 🤘🤘🤘
This performance is legendary in its own time. 🤘💥🔥
Lovebites had me immediately hooked with 'Break The Wall.'
"Break The Wall" LIVE 2020: ruclips.net/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/видео.html
Empowering THRASH with a soulful/bluesy interlude? Yes! It can be done, perfectly!
Love Lovebites 🐺🤘🏴
WIthout Myiako no songs. she write pretty much every song of lovebites. she is just like that people are like that thats why i like her. she does her own thing dont care about others.
Actually, Asami is 4'11. Haruna is 4'9 and Midori is 4'10. The tall girls Miyako and Fami are both 5'2, which is medium height for a Japanese girl.
Still one of my top 5 favourite LOVEBITES songs.
Adding info from the audio commentary from Knockin' at Heaven's Gate:
Asami - 147 cm
Fami - 160 cm
Haruna - 146 cm
Midori - 150 cm
Miyako - 159.5 cm
@@mezacharia How small they are and how great they are....lol
@@gatograto where does all that amazingness come from! 😂
@@mezacharia Yes, that is a great wonder 🙂
I’m just a bassist, but I think the drum term you’re looking for is the “skank beat,” played here with extra kicks
Miyako not smiling and looking serious is just her on stage persona. Her cold as ice to Midori's animated fire.
THE POWER AND INTENSITY IS AWESOME ....LOVE THIS BAND
Please include "Reaction" in the video title. Otherwise I won't be able to find it in search.
🤟🏻🔥🐺🔥🤘🏻GOOOO‼️
That's just Miyako being Miyako 😂😂🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣
The beat called Skank beat
Epilogue
I have heard different heights for Fami, but she is the same height or just slightly taller than the giant Miyako at 5'2.
🤘👍👍👍
Dam them chicks on the guitars are tearing it up!!!!! never heard of them!

Thank you for supporting Lovebites, my favorite heavy metal band!🤘🏼
Pedal to the Metal - Metal
IT's called a Blast Beat. She was doing a slower version. This was the speed of the blast beat that I like. Sometimes it's played so fast it's just noise.
Pure clasical trash sound, but much better, but the Lovebites way
please edit, it's thrash, as in thrash metal.
🐺❤❤❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Lovebites is Showa-era dudes dream band! 🤘🏼😆🤘🏼
( And don't nit-pick. There is nothing wrong with anything here. No need to worry. ) 😉
Lovebites!!!! Midori💚💚💚💚💚
I FEEL WE HAVE A NEW TRINITY OF BANDS ...BANDMAID...THE WARNING..LOVEBITES
Normally, the Japanes trinity is Nemophila, Lovebites and BAND-MAID. A trio that now has got a child, Hanabie, and now is a quartet. Yeah, if we let Mexico, with the Warning, be there also we have quintet. Some people will add more, but for me, this is a good start. Five is a chram!
