Today we are exploring the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, located at Universal Studios Orlando Florida.
Starting our morning off in Diagon Alley, before heading to Hogsmede later in the day.
Finishing our evening off with an amazing Mardi Gras Parade showcased by Universal.

Thank you so much for the kind words! Yes definitely we try not to be too caught up in the madness of theme parks and try to just take a chilled approach, so this trip was all about Vicky seeing it, I’ve done all the rides before so only fussed if the queue time is short!

I've really enjoyed watching your videos! You guys are such a sweet couple. I was wondering why you chose to leave the parks to eat lunch in city walk? There are a lot of cool themed restaurants in the parks like The Leaky Cauldron and Three Broomsticks 😊 and several others outside the HP areas. Minions Cafe is soo cute!

In terms of the food we just seem to prefer the quality of the food outside the parks, and also value for money.
I’ve previously visited the park restaurants before, whilst I enjoyed them. We found we were spending $80+ for a family of four for lunch, so heading to panda express and having a big plate of quality food is what we prefer.

I live in Louisiana. At a REAL mardi gras parade you usually come home with 200 beads plus cups and stuffed animals, ramen noodles, all kinds of stuff. Lol

Hi guy's, so happy you came up on my recommended 😊 Love your style of vlogging and I told my daughter that's around your age to look ye up too 😊 I saw another blogger at mardi gras and he was able to go on the mardi gras float and throw out the beads! Absolutely loving the vlogs just had a quick question that you probably have already answered but couldn’t find anywhere. Why does Vicky not ride many or any of the rides has she tried them before and does not like them? Of course you don’t have to do the rides was just curious.

Vicky’s not the biggest fan of rides but especially simulated rides, so in universal there’s not many that aren’t simulated.
However she still loves the themeing and atmosphere of parks and doesn’t mind waiting if I’d like to do rides.

Hi, no way!!! thank you for watching and sharing your kind words. Firstly we’re possibly heading back in September/ October this year and we’re possibly looking at going back to Avanti which is a good sign!
We’ll give you a big overview of Avanti Palms.
Firstly, it’s probably best to think about how your holidays going to look, if you’re thinking of going to Disney for the majority of the trip, we’d probably reccomend staying on Disney’s site, purely because of the free transportation & perks you may get for staying there.
Avanti was brilliant for Universal as it’s around the corner and can literally see Universal from the hotels. That being said you could always get Ubers to the Disney parks/ drive but obviously would come at an extra cost.
Cleanliness was quite good in general, a couple of areas that we thought could have been a little cleaner but nothing major to put us off.
The pool was amazing at the back of the hotel, as it has a kids splash area, shallow and deep areas, lots of sunbeds etc.
They also had arcade areas in the hotel, a bar etc.
Facility wise we couldn’t complain.
They also offered free transportation to some parks, which was brilliant.
The only thing we thought let it down was the noise, we could hear quite a lot from our room, people walking past and noise from the interstate at the back of the hotel.

So we’ve been twice and we do Disney every time but we always stay of site, just for pricing more than anything to be honest, we’ve stayed at the delta celebration and we’ve tried the coco key hotel too, and they’ve both been around £800 for 14 nights which is just so cheap compared to disneys £2,600 price tag 🙈 we might do a couple of nights on Disney, but we love just going out there and I don’t think I can justify the full 2 weeks on site!
Oh good I’m glad you overall had a good experience, I can understand the noise issue as we’ve had similar in our previous hotels, from what I seen on the vlog the room looks really clean and spacious, much bigger than the rooms we’ve stayed in previously.

We’re also vlogging our next trip too, we spent some time with l&s adventures on our last trip in Janurary and ste taught josh all about the camera, although I think I’m going to use my iPhone for a lot of it 😂

Does Vicky not do any rides . If she wanted to see hogwarts or gringots. You can walk through and wait in the child swap area . You don't have to ride but can walk through 😊
She’s not the biggest rides fan but she’ll give the odd few a go. She doesn’t like simulated rides much.
