    I snuck backstage at Radio City Music Hall during the signals tour I was fortunate enough with two of the people in the audience to see sound check it was like I peaked on rush at that particular time but its not true I didn't peak. I don't think I still have but I can tell you this they bring tears to my eyes when I see how much pleasure they have given me over all these years my first concert of rush farewell to Kings at the Palladium in New York City

    A body of work that changed rock music
    Rush released its eponymous debut album in March 1974. 24 gold and 14 platinum (3 multi-platinum) records later, the band is only third behind The Beatles and The Rolling Stones for the most consecutive gold or platinum albums by a rock band.

    These guys don't know squat about the Toronto music scene in the 70's. I lived it and Toronto had some amazing talent. I would kill to be able to revisit my years at the Gasworks, El Macombo, Knob, Blackhawk, Picadily Tube, etc. FM, TPOH, Saga, Goddo, HoneyMoon Suite, Gowan (Rhinegold), Max Webster, Zon, Ian Thowas, Lee Arron, Jeff Healey, Teenage Head, Moxy, April Wine, Blue Rodeo, Sherriff, David Wilcox, etc. Toronto was an amzing place for Music in the era Rush started. Neil young and Joni Mitchell had moved on after Yorkville but the rest of the city exploded musically. Nice back then before radio went to country wide programming was the local Radio stations played local bands, You went to Sam's or A&A bought the record then walked up the street and saw the band.

    Yay - RUSH has finally reached the level where small movie companies leach off them and make unofficial and annoying short films where talking heads spew rehashed common knowledge over top crappy music that they think sounds like RUSH. Drivel.

    whoever made this film, please cut off its distribution and destroy any that remain. I would hate for this to be someone's introduction to Rush.
    It would be one thing if this was a small budget television documentary or a small film made by fans or something from a few years ago, but this reeks of a rip-off cash-in project.

    This is a 3rd party making an unofficial documentary, so they have no rights to use any of the music that the documentary is about in the first place. It's a shame that things like this are produced purely to try and capitalize off someone else's success.

    I just don't get the description of Rush as heavy metal. Hard, progressive rock, sure. Just 'cause something's loud and the singer is screaming doesn't make it metal.

    • @DetVen
      @DetVen 8 лет назад +1

      I agree, I love a lot of metal, but I kind of cringe when I hear Rush being refereed to as a "metal" band. Progressive hard rock...that's it.
