- actually the original suspension isnt that bad, spring and damper do work properly together, bumps are absorbed pretty well. BUT only if the drivers weight is not too big... ie italian 60kg a lot of amore and vino theay are fine ;) but for tall men like me its definitely too weak and hits trough unfortunately.
anyways i like optimizing things so of course the standard suspension of every 2wheeler has to replaced ;)
tyres, brakes & suspension = life insurance, safety FIRST
i like motorbiking, but there are a lot of other thing i love even more ;)
2017, owners statement, switches from painfull yss to bitubo klassik suspension:
Driving is a dream now!! Scooter now swallows all bumps, long trips are finally possible now. finally gentle to the back/spine, no pain anymore. No more hopping around like a rabbit
I have expected some improvement but THIS exceeds my expectations
2018, the next scooterist who switched from lml original to bitubo:
OMG! installed the bitubo racing suspension, made a little tour and the suspension is fantastic, both settings on very soft, potholes are taken short and crisp, on the highway scooter is running like straight on rails. completely different scooter, a humangous difference to the original lml suspension before.
Agree to that.My last UK scooter,a Vespa T5 Classic, immediately had Michelin S1s, uprated Taffspeed shocks &cables plus dog leg levers and a lower seat too.Get it the way you want it from the start!
+pkg996 try heidenaun k80sr some day, u will be fascinated what latest tyres are capeable of!
S1's are only rated for 100km/h
it sounds so tempting what you are saying. the front and rear kit costs over 550eur, I do not mind paying that if you are saying it makes the vespa a different bike afterwards. I love my Vespa, but if it could only be softer and less tough on my back. I am big and tall and the roads around me are not great..
there you go BUT buy them from an official bitubo dealer to ensure that they are freshly produced. same here with big and sensitive back
super nice video
Made in germany / deutsche qualitätsarbeit!!
+Markus R. Verstellbarer kuluhebel highly recommended btw
Greetings, I’m contemplating between bitubos and ohlins for my vespa sprint 150.
Which is better between the two?
Oehlins, but not available for vespa.
Which is better, yss or bitubo?
the price tells it to you. good suspension is not cheap. most important: it needs to be servicable. always ask for that. if not provided, dont buy it
these yss are a catastrophe. its no suspension at all. way too hard spring with too little damping. evil to ride. u feel every little street bump.
how would you describe this shocks? are suitable for a touring use? thamks
Absolutely! They are very comfy. But pls buy them. Freshly produced from. An official bitubo dealer. If they get hard, they are to be serviced
thanks, i had enough of cheap shocks that last less than a month
Yoi! do you have any long-time-experience about using the bitubo?
mine worked fine for about 5 years but now its behavior is worse than the original due to loss of gas (?) and in the very first compression range is making CLAK CLAK 😩.
I have switched back to the original shock that is still performing well. But I am wondering if I can recover the performances somehow...
I have experiences tearing down engines completely but to disassemble shocks is still producing in me a sort of fear... (like you said is one of the most important parts for safety)
every motorbike shock needs service after 2-3y or 10.000km or when it gets hard it's the sign to let it serviced. give it to an official bitubo dealer 🍻
Good day, mista FreakMoPed.
The bitubos look beautiful.
You are a knowledgeable person with a wealth of informative videos.
Im contemplating replacing my shocks, and looking at the sip race 2.0 as well as the bgm 7781.
Can you advice why you chose the bitubos over these 2?
i would recommemd, to use:
1)shocks that are from a real shocm producer, not just a shop/dealers brand (buy&resell for profit, lesss space for quality due to needed profit) and 2) SERVICABLE shocks. bitubo are. Bgm and sip are not. No service kits available. And 3) buy them from a real bitubo dealer, he will. Order it and they are gonnna be freshly produced, the one from. Big shops... They do lay around for some time as they usually buy a big stock of them.
By proffessionals recommended service intervall is 2-3y or 20.000km
So which if the three is quite easily answered :)
Mista FreakMoPed.
Thank you for sharing your valuable experience and reasons for the bitubos.
I am able to get my hands of a set of ZELIONI for the PX 150, and they are serviceable , and sold by the authorised distributor in Singapore. I understand you have BITUBO on your bike, but if you had to choose between the 2, which would you rather have if both are the same price?
Need advice For the rear shock please
servicable means ie bitubo, stage6
@@FreakMoPed8 for daily use is still ok with bitubo?
of course! very Comfortable. softest setting
I have a 2015 Vespa 300 GTS and have for what I feel, too much front wobble. I'll take a hand off then light grip the other and lots of wobble. Tires have the proper pressure, and have been balanced and has been checked out by a shop. They suggest a new front shock. In anyones experience, would the Bitubo be THAT much better of a shock? And help/eliminate wobble?
These automatica do have a weigjt issue, too little weight on the front tyre, if u use wind shield and top case it gets even worse. In the end, its what it is and not changeable, just hold on to handlebar and dont let go 😄😉
original shocks only look like ahocks but fhey are not, extremly cheap stuff. Doing kindof the job, but suspension is something totally different. yes they are very good, but no, they cant solve the wobble issue as it is scooter weight balance related
Same issur with honda sh. Even contacted honda. guess 1x what their answer was: not in writing of course just phone 😄😉 when was the last fork service? AHA! yeah then no wonder.
Sure.
I serviced the fork, of course nothing changed 😄
they know the problem, but cant say it. Some tyres are better, some worse, but thr reason is obviously on hand.
ruclips.net/video/7m9EMEKbXx8/видео.html
just remove the top case and the issue is nearlly gone 😉
thats what they didnt tell
its a weight balancing problem between front and rear axis
Tyre or suspension just change it a bit, but can not solve it of course.

;) ;) was brand new, very first use :D
Best rear suspension for the beverly 350?
servicable and expensive one. Good shocks do cost money. Bitubo reasonable, already way better than the original defect ones. I changed to oehlins which i love 😜 avoid paioli/malossi twins, pretty fast defect and not servicable 😂
they flatten even big cobble stones, which bitubos cant handle ruclips.net/video/lUvReMuwKfU/видео.html
@@FreakMoPed8 my mechanic told me that bitubo are very hard suspensions thats why I ask
if a suspension is HARD then it means it runs on the spring, not on a spring/damper combination. it simply needs to be serviced ;) its a clear indicator that oil and or gas is to be replaced
a good freshly produced or serviced bitubo is NOT hard. often part shops do sell older bitubos from the storage, which are not really fresh, but already to be serviced... get it from an official bitubo dealer.
