Awesome that you were able to help out the Queensland Staffie rescue! I wound up with a one year old pit staffie mix that no one wanted that looks like a mini Homeless. He got to play in his first snow this morning. Merry Christmas to you all and here is to a profitable and productive new year!

First off a shoutout to Paul in UK. You gave me some of the best belly laughs I've had in a long time especially the hat brim level. The banana micrometer was a piece of art. Thanks.
To Karen, Kurtis and homeless, a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year. I hear from a relative on Phillip Island that they are in for a hot day today at some 40°C. As I write this my indoor outdoor thermometer is indicating MINUS 12.8 °C outside.
There's about two or three inches of snow down since last night but the wind is whipping it around so badly I can't see my neighbours house 100 feet across the street. This is supposed to continue until Christmas Eve and perhaps morning. If they can get here from London, Ontario, about 100 kms from here, I'll be providing Christmas lunch of granny's soup, (secret recipe), fresh baked Pillsbury rolls, roasted prime rib of beef, roast potatoes, mashed potatoes for those that can't chew (2 fussy grand daughters, both over 20 yrs) cauliflower in cheese sauce, green peas and lots of gravy. Desert will be Christmas Candy Cane ice cream.
Presents may be opened before or after the meal depending on when/if they get here.
For those that might be interested in "granny's soup secret recipe" it consists of one large container of spaghetti sauce, brand and ingredients of your choice, I like roasted garlic in mine, and a large can of squashed tomatoes. Dump them, contents that is, in a crock pot to heat for a few hours, stirr regularly so it doesn't burn, and serve with fresh baked Pillsbury rolls. Never been turned down yet and it's a tribute to my wife, Granny, who departed three years ago. This one's for you love.

Kurtis, Karen and Homeless … Best of holidays to you, hope it’s not too blistering. Just finished watching your year end unboxing and reading viewer mail episode. Couldn’t be happier for you guys you’ve brought a lot of joy to my life as you remind me of my late eldest brother, who was a machinist. I treasure the few bits and pieces of his tools that have survived and I keep for Mementos. Y’all also get a big thumbs up from me for being animal oriented. I was particularly touched by the episode where you rescued the lizard from the underside of whichever piece of equipment he crawled into. And a shout out to your bird friends.
In closing I hope Karen (the giggler) gets her rightful due around CEE. Kurtis you should be grateful, your wife is a genius RUclips videographer

@@dfross87 probably most of them. Staffordshire Bull Terriers are relentless and LOVE chewing, these toys are not designed for their jaws and chewing intensity, back in the days, I used to give my dogs old tires to chew on, nothing else survived more then few minutes....😂😂😂😂

The Zerk design, named after Oscar Zerk, used a fitting much smaller than the Alemite pin-type and did not lock the hose coupler or hand gun and fitting together. Instead, the seal between them was maintained by the pressure of a pushing action when the operator applied the coupler to the fitting. This became known as a push-type system.
In 1930, Alemite introduced new hydraulic fittings. Today’s hydraulic fittings are very similar to the original version and remain the most popular grease application system in the world.

@Kurtis: Zerk fittings are called that because they were invented and patented by Oscar Zerk in 1929. Before that, there were some grease fittings with ball valves but the shape and design still used is from his patent.

I saw the "Squawker" Homes received for Christmas and decided that my Golden Retriever needed one as well since he liked "The Pig" very much. Let him open his package Christmas morning and never saw so much enthusiasm from a 10 year old dog...jumping and barking and flinging "Earl" all around the room. My Grandpa Wade was a machinist, he worked tons of big stuff professionally in Phoenix and during WWII he machined stuff for aircraft out of Al-You Minium and other soft metals; even made gimbal assemblies he thought might have been used in bomb sites etc. Hard to say really. I watched for hours as he worked in his shop. I still use phrases like, it'll cut you like a ribbon!

I've never been a machinist but always been around the profession....You spend so much time documenting your jobs and such great camera work(which takes away from PRODUCTIVITY/MAKING MONEY).... it's nice to see an appreciation from your curious fanbase!!!! Awwww! The puppy! Having your dog at work makes things soooo much better, doesn't it! Don't know where I'd be today without my dogs. Probably in the ground. Since the death of my only child in 2014, my dogs are the only thing that have kept me from going insane.
So yes, I hold my dogs in extremely high regards. I wouldn't be here today without them.
You, Kurtis, Karen and the very unhomeless Homeless really have added a lot of enjoyment to Life. I love the emergency 10mm socket. Always the first socket to disappear from a Tiffy's toolbox. Happy Christmas and a wonderful whole year.
