In Islam, a string of 99 beads represents each name of Allah. While subha consisting of 33 beads relate to a hadith that calls on Muslims, after they have prayed, to repeat subhanallah (glorious is God) 33 times, alhamdulillah (all praise be to God) 33 times and Allahu Akbar (God is great) 33 times.
The very name, misbaha, means praise to God.

I'm Christian and would it be bad if I owned a Tasbih to show my love for Islam? I really respect it and I think it's a beautiful and super interesting religion.
There is no problem in owning a Tasbih because different religions have a prayer bead which is just structured differently but the purpose is the same.
@@MonaJED yes the bead that I use is made of Tulsi stick and have totally 108 nos .
Check out japa mala which is more scientific to concentrate your energies. It has 108 beads and we don’t cross the guru bead and reverse in other direction.

I am a revert,studying and absorbing Islam as much as my brain could process. Years ago,a Muslim friend of my family gifted me his muslim prayer beads . I believe they're made of wood, each bead has Arabic writing on them. Let me tell you,these beads are VERY old. He passed away last year at the age of 92. May his soul be in paradise.Who knew that one day I would have interest in Islam and that I would end up using the very beads he gifted me almost two decades later. My initial question to anyone here is PLEASE educate me what does the Arabic writing signify on each bead?

You may never make it to Pluto to see frozen red water, but you can at least get the galaxy theme on items to look like outer space. This tasbih has amazing galaxy color trend combining jewel tones like black, blue, purple and flecks of gold and white to mirror the same planets and stars we drew in science class.

Great question! It is better and preferable to hold the Misbaha beads on the right hand to keep track of counting.
When I was a soldier. In Iraq. Several Iraqi policeman gave me these beads. Now it’s 20 years later and I want to use them. I believe in Allah. But I am not Islamic. Can I still use them?
Yes, you can but do not associate any other with Allah.

Yes, of course you can. Tasbih is just used as a counter. Better to use your fingers to do dhikr as they will bear witness for you on the Day of Judgement.
