"Klaus Barbie, sometimes known as the Butcher of Lyon, devoted father, wine connoisseur, and three time ballroom dancing champion." Jon Lovitz's eyes during that scene. 😂
@@DP-hy4vh same thing happened with Scream 3- it was being filmed right as Columbine happened so they felt like they needed to cut out most of the violence
@@DP-hy4vh i remember after 9-11 i heard it started selling much better because people where depressed and wanted to see something light-hearted they could laugh at, compared to the other movies that were out at the time. It wasn't as successful before that, and stayed in theatres much longer because of it. At least in Ny it was like that. It did really well because of 9/11
I will never forget this movie. A forgotten comedy classic... Vhs really sold this movie. I'm surprised a movie with a such a simple concept hasn't been remade yet.its for the best. I recently showed this movie so some friends that haven't seen it.. and they loved it ..the laughed so hard, were intrigued by who would win and never saw the ending coming. This movie holds up to the rest of time and I wish it got the regulation it deserves in the comedy word. it has so high class actors...its a true shame it's often forgotten.
I like the attention to detail at the end. At 2:31 you can see Breckin Meyer's animation running across the back and then right at the end you see him walking up to the counter wearing the same outfit.
True.. I saw this in the theatres what a great surprise this movie was... Back in 2001... Most comedies these days are mainly toilet humor or sex humor
Remember, this movie is not a remake of It’s A Mad Mad Mad Mad World from 1963! Although it has a similar plot and was largely inspired by It’s A Madx4 World, it’s not actually a remake!
As far as I know, this movie is the only starring role for Lanai Chapman (0:24). Almost everything else she's been in is "additional voices" for animated movies.
In case anyone's wondering, the song is performed by the Baha Men. Edit: I also want to say I love the effort your team put into this! This is a really great opening credits sequence!
Perfect cast for the perfect hilarious film, I’ve watched this movie so many times I’ve lost count. And that opening theme song is stuck in my head and I don’t wanna get it out, 🎶ooh yeah yeah🎶
Eventhough Wayne Knight was featured in the main starring credits, I was saddened to see that his appearance became more of a cameo since his character was also never actually involved in "the race". Although, he did gave us a few moments where he, in a way, referenced a couple of his other characters.
The greatest comedy crew in single movie in history. I mean you have every major living comedian in it and there isn't real main character as they are all main character.
I saw this in theaters back in 2001. I later showed it to my mom and she said it’s a take off of Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World. So naturally I saw that one too. That was even crazier.
If only Movies had openings like this more often, We could put credits at the beginning of movies again. But the reason they do put alot of the credits in the opening is because this movie is pretty much a remake of another movie called Its a Mad Mad Mad World. Its a really old movie where they had a lot of the credits before the movie started.
This movie is criminally underrated
Agreed
I saw its rating on Rotten Tomatoes and I said "I'm going to ignore this."
"Klaus Barbie, sometimes known as the Butcher of Lyon, devoted father, wine connoisseur, and three time ballroom dancing champion." Jon Lovitz's eyes during that scene. 😂
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
that double take, as if to say, "Wait, what??"
This movie is chock full of terrific comedy sketches. Why it never achieved its due as a classic is a mystery.
The movie was in theaters three weeks before 9/11. The movie got overshadowed by the real world.

I saw this movie over a hundred times. It's a classic
llouw11 i liked the movie, but the ending where they give all the money to charity is cheesy af
I like your picture
Me to one of my favorites
Ya
If you like this one you should see It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World from 1963. That ones even crazier.
I like the attention to detail at the end. At 2:31 you can see Breckin Meyer's animation running across the back and then right at the end you see him walking up to the counter wearing the same outfit.
Oh my gosh, I never noticed it til now :0
I remember seeing this in the theaters. I had never nor have I ever since heard an audience laugh so hard and so constantly.
This is my attorney, Mr. Grisham, who tragically was born without a personality.
Probably one of the last actually good true comedy films.
I can think of so many more though lol

No there are plenty that have come out since this

This opening really did live up to the promise since this is really funny to watch. 🤑
Also I love this song. It Jams!!!
Well it also lived it up to what it promised on the poster which featured big headed cartoony versions of the characters.
I love this movie. This song is a banger as well.
The greatest comedian cast ever put together. I doubt there will ever be greater one.
That's actually a scientific fact.
You ought to see the original, It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, World. The cast here is TINY compared to the original. Not hating on the movie.
Try "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" from the 60's … which was the inspiration for this movie.
Tropic Thunder had a very good casts for a comedy.
Facts
Movies these days aren't as good as these types anymore...
I can watch this movie over and over again and still laugh through the entire movie. This movie never gets old.

Shame. She was hilarious in this.
She was in star trek next generation for a few episodes.
When I was a kid, I used to watch this opening scene over and over again. And that scene alone. Now I really want to watch the whole movie.
In case anyone's wondering, the song is performed by the Baha Men.
Edit: I also want to say I love the effort your team put into this! This is a really great opening credits sequence!
Underrated funny movie, I know the ending is maybe forced but the rest it’s just very hilarious
This intro is just classic childhood nostalgia.
Perfect cast for the perfect hilarious film, I’ve watched this movie so many times I’ve lost count. And that opening theme song is stuck in my head and I don’t wanna get it out, 🎶ooh yeah yeah🎶
Great song. Great movie. “Jason, we’re gonna need a jar and a funnel.”
“I’m prairie dogging it!”
A movie without actors, a movie with LEGENDS
10/10 film. Very funny

Although, he did gave us a few moments where he, in a way, referenced a couple of his other characters.
The best intro even made
This movie is like a classic '80s or early '90s comedy that just happened to be released in 2001 🙂
Pretty much the last of its kind.
Blake Edward's of Pink Panther and David Zucker of Airplane! Got me through the best years of my life. The Kings of Cinematic Comedy
....yet this movie is by neither of those people. It's actually directed by David's brother Jerry Zucker, who was also the director of Ghost.
This is a great song to get you through a rough day in corporate America.
My best film soundtrack ever!
The greatest comedy crew in single movie in history. I mean you have every major living comedian in it and there isn't real main character as they are all main character.
Hollywood can’t make ensemble comedies like they used to this was a star studded cast such a heartfelt film
You should have bought a squirrel!!!!
Today marks exactly twenty years since production began on this fantastic, underrated comedy! (August 9, 2020) 😁😊
Love that opening sequence! And the movie too! :)
Very Great Movie! Italian dubbing made a great job
This movie was the most slapstick comedy I watched in 2001!even the theme music kept cracking me up!😂
You listened to the song. Now it will be stuck in your head for the next week.
ONE OF THE BEST COMEDIES!! I LAUGH EVERY TIME....
The moral of the story. Always buy a squirrel. So funny.
Sometimes, this song pops up in memory, and i just HAVE to watch it again....
Really good movie
My favorite movie intro
Every time I watch this movie, I still can't believe that Breckin Meyer, who was Jon in the live action Garfield movies is in it.
What a film ...good oul early naughty days 😎
I saw this in theaters back in 2001. I later showed it to my mom and she said it’s a take off of Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World. So naturally I saw that one too. That was even crazier.
This sounds like it belongs in some cartoonish racing game lol
Diddy Kong racing lol
01:07 bwah! It's Peggy from King of the Hill!
Rowan Atkinson the one that plays Mr. Bean. Now I know who it is like the Mr. Bean guy
One of my favorite comedy movies!
U should've bought a squirrel... Lol
Scary Movie 2000 and White Chicks were also funny
Paul attacking Cuba due to him losing money due to the latter's bad call is so funny.
I always wondered what kind of directions the squirrel lady woulda given them if they had bought a squirrel

steven garcia Probably the right directions.
Probably the right directions
I only saw partials of this movie back in New Jersey. I was young at that time.
#1 family friendly movie of 2001
Always loved watching it during my childhood, especially the bit involving Rowan Atkinson! 😂🤣
21 people should’ve bought a squirrel 🐿
Eitheir that or it's Donald Sinclair as no one actually took the USD$1 Million! 🤔
One of my favorites!
I wish Pierce Brosnan, Coolio, and Jason Lee were in this movie.
One of the best comedy movies! So many people we know in this movie did great. Lol!!
This movie is peak early 2000s
Once the quarantine is over, this will be happening for real.
lolz at Mr.Bean
This is one of my favorite comedies of all freakin' time!
I love Rat Race Movie
Basil Fawlty, Mr Bean, Chris Griffen & Whoopi all in the same movie XD
I liked this movie but it was obviously nothing more than a modern day version of "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World".
Cool behind-the-scenes anecdote, thanks!
2018???they gotta be someone right???
Sorry, 2020.
Muy buena película la amé😊❤️
decent remake of It's a Mad, Mad, Mad , Mad World
one of my favorite opening of all time
Rowan as Enrico is very much if Mr Bean had a sleeping disorder and was Itallian.
Such an underated movie T_T
It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World.

So the same guy that made the soundtrack for "How To Train Your Dragon" also made the soundtrack for this movie...
Yep. His score in this movie is hilarious, a great Danny Elfman/Carl Stalling vibe to it.
My dad David Forman wrote this song and is the high voice singing lead with the Baha Men
