The Brit healthcare seems to have much more compassion and love for humanity than the US. US has lost touch of anything human all for the love of money and politics. What warms my heart the most is how they care for the elderly. They dearly love and respect thier elderly while here in the states, they can’t wait to get rid of us. So very sad. I saw one episode were a young young patience who actually shed tears for another elderly patient she didn’t even know. This is truly love and compassion.

2:48 One thing you don't say in front of a patient, Dr. Paul, is "she's bleeding to death at the moment"...even if you think the patient is unconscious. "She has a severe splenic haemorrhage and we need to keep up with it" would have been much more appropriate. We don't scare critical patients. 42:35 I relate with Dr Paul here. My husband died (he was in another city at the time) the day before my exams at uni. My mother decided not to tell me, so as not to disrupt my exams, but my husband's colleague phoned to tell me. Unlike Paul, I couldn't bring myself to sit the exam.

23:13 i hope his prescious mom can be helped ❤️🙏 edit... 😢 I see that she didn't make it. So sad. 💔
just recently, my 77 year old mom was having trouble with walking. Not enough leg strength to lift her feet properly. She was getting weaker, and something was off. It took me almost 2 weeks to convince her to let me take her to the ER. They did scans, blood work, and what felt like 50 tests with 100 questions. Thankfully she had let me bring her. She had a severe UTI, but with none of the symptoms! They admitted her immediately. She was very close to becoming septic. Her kidneys were being affected, and one was close to shutting down. She couldn't walk without assistance. She was hospitalized for 8 full days. The first 3 days, i was worried about losing my mom 💔 this was in March, and she's still got some lingering issues from the whole ordeal.

I too love watching how tenderly the Brits deal with their elderly. I do agree that the US has forgotten on the whole how to care or express heart for this age group. As a former wife of a health care worker, I can say that the problem is not necessarily the greed of healthcare people that motivate them. The greed has been of others that have climbed on to people that want to be in healthcare. An example is that the education of healthcare is so much more expensive for healthcare workers to achieve their goals. A comparison was that my husband’s text books were twice to three times more expensive than any of mine when I sought a degree in education. It isn’t just the books but every aspect of trying to get a health cares education. Today I’m sure that the educational costs are tremendous.

Everything is realative! I couldnt give 2 hoots about a cyclist who gets knocked off his bike, or a drunk who falls down some stairs! They all put themselves in risk. True accidents I thought this was about.

Rita and her beloved reminded me so much of my beloved late hubby and I the way that we would be with each other. If one passes away, the other is going to be so devastated as it was with my hubby and I. I said to my hubby that I would die of a broken heart if he ever passed away before I did. Now it’s three years going on and I’m still here. We were 16 years apart with Bill being the oldest in our relationship, but we had 30 years 355 days together, and two boys. Not bad for a couple who were told that the marriage wouldn’t last six months. Never estimate the power of love and commitment.🥰🥰🩷🩷

You can’t fake cheekbones like Elicia was born with. What a gorgeous woman. RIP. I wish I had have had that kind of time with my mom. If only they hadn’t misdiagnosed her. I miss her every day even after 30 years.
