Hay Man! I love that Spyder, its so Cool, dont matter what age you are from 18 to 80 years old, its for everyone to ride. That picture you took was so professional, Shawn, didnt matter about the light. Shame you got the Spyder Wet! Im real Glad you let us come along, i never want to miss that, thanks.
That's one beautiful bike. That picture you took could be used in advertising by the company it looks so good. Glad to see you having fun on her & taking us along
I really enjoy watching your vlogs Shawn. I plan on buying my first Spyder 1st of June, and watching your videos are getting me psyched! I am in KC, but my sister and brother in-law are in Bellingham...he rides a street glide. I can't wait to meet up with him and ride up in Washington. Might stop by and say hi sometime. Keep em' coming
Something I noticed when I test rode the RTS or was it just me was the rocking motion left to right at hwy speeds, I would assume that's b/c of the 2 wheels in front , also rode the F3 ( no windshield) went on interstate about 75mph, once you ride w/ a windshield (imo) at that speed it's much more challenging w/o windshield. It is a fantastic machine, when I am ready for 3 wheels this is what I am considering.
Shawn buddy you sound just like me.i can't stand when my car or trucks in the past got dirty . And whenever I had snowmobiles, 4 wheelers, dirt bike or even lawn tractors I would ride and clean and shine them rite back up.just don't see the sense in paying the kind over money we do for things and just let them go. If I moved where I didn't have a garage or biulding I wud buy a biulding to keep them all in out if weather. But anyways I really enjoyed your 1st trip home on the new rt-s special.and yes it is a sharp looking machine.wish I had ur job and life style.would live to be around all those cool machines all the time. Ok sorry so long.just got me excited with this vlog . Be safe man Daniel Danforth,NC
Its amazing how fancy the electronics are on the Spyder. Has a similar setup to my journey lol. I like the adjustable shield too, a good touch. Motor has a good sound when accelerating, curious how it sounds with your regular mic. Red and black are a great color scheme for that Spyder. Looks mean with the lights on.
WooHoo...... Real weird to watch via the side mount camera mate. Oh man, it might be a little cold but what a beautiful day. Perfect for the first ride. Do those things have a cruise control? It seems like something they would benefit from out on the motorway, or freeway as you guys call 'em. ;o) Shame things got a bit damp closer to home. You're going to have to wash it already eh mate? Wow, nice looking photo you got there. Excellent stuff mate. Great to see you so happy. :o)
Rob Ash - Yeah, I was going old school on that mount... Lol I pondered setting up a chin mount, as I have all the bits to do it, but I had a small weather window to get the heck out of here before the rain came. Simple side mount she was... Those temps would have been terminal without all the fairing protection of this thing. The standard shield would have come in handy riding without my gear like this. I don't care if I get cold or wet from this stubby shield though, because I love the look. Yes, it does have cruise control. I even use it on these RT's because it's hard to monitor speeds, and I'm afraid of getting ticketed. I'm really bad at not looking down at the dash... Lol I looked at her this morning after everything dried, what a mess! Just at the very rear though... I'll push her out in the morning and give her a first bath. Will drive me nuts knowing it's dirty. Thanks a million Rob!
There was more noise when you were behind the screen than when you stood up. I've never had good luck with windscreen. Fun video with you being chatty about a new bike, nothing wrong with that!
Nice perk of the job! The photo you took looks great, what settings or app did you use. When you were taking the photo I thought it would never show clear but it's nice.
I just purchased this very same model. It is still in the crate and I pick it up in a couple days. My main question is that I rode a demo limited model with the full windshield. I like to wear a half helmet (brain bucket) when riding and am concerned about the shorter windshield offered on the special edition. Would you recommend I ask the dealer to install a full windshield? Wife will be riding with me often and I don't want her getting buffeted to death on a 1000 mile trip. Thanks
I swear you are part mexican with your obsession with detailing Shawn. :P I bet your are the only one there that brings back a demo in better shape than it left the shop in. I wonder if they'd let you put an exhaust on it.
Lol... Damn it, have you been talking to my wife. :-) That's what she's always saying... Lol You know, that's a good question? That would be fitting for this one! Thanks man!
Shawn Smoak the HMF exhaust makes them sound like my dad's Trident.. it's weird. I guess a triple is a triple but still. It'd be cool if Toce made a 4 tip exhaust for them but they don't. For some reason an old school 4 tip setup seems like it'd fit that thing.
Great ride Shawn! She sure is a beaut! I love my 2014 ST Ltd. Just had the first service pulled on her (545 mi). Bought and installed a real carbon fiber dash kit from "WrapMySpyder.com". Looks wonderful! Also the carbon fiber "Frunk Kit".
Story of my life, I fall in love with a beautiful girl on the dance floor and someone else takes her home and gets to ride her. Jealous is not a strong enough word.
What state are U in? Well, while u're takin' that "bad boy" home, just take a detour by house and leave it in the garage. I'll even take you out for dinner tonight at a really good steak house, then we'll go back to my house and I'll have my wife fix us a nice Rum N Coke (Bacardi Gold). All the while we can watch some good movies on our 3D TV. By that time, it'll be time for bed. Then the Rooster will crow and we'll get up and have some really good sausage n' eggs with home made white gravy and by that time it'll be time for you to leave. Of course, you'll have to leave the trike with me. Thanks a lot.
Thanks for letting us ride with you on that beautiful Can Am. I would love to have one.
James A. - You're very welcome sir! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Sweet, I know you're excited. I love the new Spyder.

The wind noise is definitely more. But it still sounds decent. Sweet bike, glad she's home and looking forward to more rides.
What a lucky guy you are! She looks sweet and sounded good too. I hope you really enjoy her. Good luck and take care.
Ah yes, a boy and his toys...LOL... The photographs look great... nice machine... enjoy, Shawn... Cheers- Dallas

Looks and sounds great, the wind noise was less when you stood up as to sitting, I like the smaller shield has it got a slight tint or is it clear.
09/17/15 Just bought a new 2015 Spyder RT Ltd, so far so good.
Great Ride!
