Regardless if you agree with Roger or not on the Middle Eastern conflict, the man will always have a place in my heart for writing some of the greatest music of all time. I DO commend Roger for his push to reinstate the Minsk Accord between NATO and Russia. Don't agree with everything Roger says, but I believe he is one of the few Celebrities against the Military Industrial Complex.
This was an interesting debate. Between a snobby man and a normal man.

He meant the European and USA jew settlers. The population of Palestine was mostly Semitic Arab, both Muslims and Christian. There were also small numbers of Semitic Jews, lived together in peace.

I live in israel as a jew all my life. And I can tell you the way things are. in short. in 1917 there was balfoor declaration and it was decided the jews have a right to their historic land. btw something that roger will later deny here, stating that "morgan shouln't talk about ancient israelites". as if time has any significance to where one belongs. he can't even remember what tribes the brottons and the normands and franks and the kelts who used to live on the land of britain killed. just because we are in the 21st century means we need to give up our land? so let's do a reserch on britain, who by the way was the most colonialist nation ever, and see what tribes need to get some of it back. if they even exist. why won't the greece look for some carthegions and why won't the turks give some land back to the bizantines.. stop being so hypocreed!
Later in 1920 or 1921 there was a mandate to clear things up here and to give land to both the jews and the arabs, albeit the arabs slash muslems have 57 states. but ok. we baought many lands with money, is it our fault arabs sold lands to us??
then in 1947 there was a un decision for a 2 states solution. we said yes!! the arabs said, fuck the jews and attaced us with at least 4 fucking armies!! including iraq. is that a fair war against 500,000 hollacaust survivers and a place that is not even a state and does not even have an army?
They had their chance and they said, fuck the jews, so we went to war and won. even though we won, our prime minister ben gurion sent for many arabs to come back to their land. many live in israel as israelies, and some live as palestinians in the west benque and gaza rigion.
we were prepared to give those lands back in 1995 but they decidied it is better to bomb busses and kill the innocest and later started sending missiles all over us. and now in october 7th they killed and raped and beheaded us... so fuck hamas and until they are a peaceful land they will not get a peace treaty with israel. and I want to see, my friend here. what if some 2 million people from irland or whatever would do a mass murder crime in great britain. how do you think your government would react to cities being infiltrated, with women being raped and beheaded and so on. babies and children being put to fire. I want to see what the us or your govenment would do. when the twin towers fell the us were so pissed of they destroyd the leadership and military in far away iraq and afganistan and until they had the heads of osama and of sadam they did not rest. so.. we try never to hit cevilians, and we do our best to keep this war against terorist. show me one more country and the world that would act this way. even one.
I normally try to avoid politics on RUclips, and lets face it, this is a no win situation. And as much as i love Roger's music, especially the Amused To Death album, but i think he is a little out of his depth here. I agree, ALL humans should be granted those rights as dictated in the charter, but when Palestinians kill their own for being gay, are they goving their people those rights? And he talks about the name, Palestine, 2 centuries ago, that same land was called Jerusalem, then the Jews were pushed out.
Yet, there are now two very separate peoples trying to live in the same land. Would America give the US back to the American Indians? Would we Australians give the country back to the first settlers? Would England give Enland back to the Angles? Or Scotland to the Picts or the Gaels? No. And in the same way, we cant kick the Jews out of Isreal. Roger says send them to America or Europe, but look at the treatment the Jews endured in places like Nazi Germany or Russia (if you are unaware of the Russiam pograms, watch the movie Fiddler On The Roof). Im pretty sure they are not keen to endure those treatments again.
The Palestinians bomb the Jews, the jews retaliate. Round and round, each side pointing out the harm done to them, neither accepting accountabitity for their own actions. I feel sorry for both sides, as both sides should be able to live without fear, yet neither can.
