- In the winter of 1991 Jeff Lowe climbed a line straigh up the North Face of the Eiger. Alone and without bolts. Many said it was madness, most said it was visionary, everybody said it was an exceptional climb. Jeff named the route „Metanoia,“ a Greek term and means as much as fundamental change of thinking, a new view of the world. The climb remained a mystery for 25 years. Until December 30th, 2016. Pro-climbers Thomas Huber, Stephan Siegrist and Roger Schaeli were able to repeat the route in an epic feat.

If Thomas Huber says that it's tough climbing, you know it's brutal.
There is no real repeat until a solo repeat
Go for it
One of the greatest climbs ever. Congratulations!
RIP Jeff Lowe
Cool great climbing history and it takes some of the most badass europeans to climb it after all those years. Respect to Jeff very inpirational thanks for posting it
Superb use of the classical
Still one of the top solos going.
Lowe was the fucking man

What are they all chewing on?
Awesome except Jeff did it on his own.
Stupid name for a climb. Impressive though.

Stupid name for a climb? You cant get a stupid name for a climb. Stupid comment
@@3vimages471 your comments speak for yourself, you failed idiot. who really needs a metanoia that's you, admitted that you at least looked for its meaning before speaking shit...what a total moron...
We all get to have an opinion, even if it is uninformed or silly.
Stupid name for a RUclips identity and yep still stupid after all these years
Do you even know what the word actually means? Obviously not and your obviously a loser keyboard wannabe warrior that is still in mom’s basement..
The one guy in this was in the movie that re-enacted what happened to Tony Kurtz in 1936.. I knew I had recognized him from somewhere
Rip jeff
