  • 46-year-old Sean Lowry of Brecksville was sentenced to serve between seven to 10.5 years on charges connected to a deadly crash in which a motorcyclist was killed on I-77 last summer.
Lowry’s sentence, which Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Hollie Gallagher announced Wednesday, comes more than a month after he pleaded guilty to one count of attempted involuntary manslaughter and one count of failure to stop after accident back on March 27.
“The damage in this case is so great, that a sentence must reflect the magnitude of the harm that was inflicted," Judge Gallagher said.
The case dates back to July 29 when the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office says Lowry was driving his vehicle -- a GMC Acadia -- upwards of 120 mph on I-77 South in Independence. The prosecutor's office says Lowry then struck a 45-year-old motorcyclist on I-77 near East Pleasant Valley Road and fled the scene.

The judge is a criminal giving this criminal only 7 years for murdering a citizen with a deadly weapon drunk driving a motorcycle at 120 mph. Then the judge claims that this guy is remorseful even though he got another drunk driving after he killed someone previously and obviously was out of jail that allowed him to drink and drive again. Judges are pathetic

What is astounding here is, the long list of criminal activity since he was a youth. The seriousness of his crimes as an adult. That list screams judicial FAILURE. This man should have been behind bars long ago. The motorcyclist would be alive today if the justice system and prior judges had done their jobs. She’s impressed by remorse. Ok, that won’t bring the dead victim back. Truthfully I know I couldn’t care less about his remorse. And I’m sure many others would agree. He feels sorry for himself. That’s it ! Jail is not about rehabilitation, or punishment. Jail is about protecting innocent, law abiding people from animals like this. Rehabilitation only happens if the perpetrators genuinely want to change.

He has complexion protection. Meaning it doesn't matter what he did in the past It doesn't matter if he had prior felonies that has nothing to do with what happened in this case. However if you were black all his charges from previous would be allowed.
