ohh let me go check out her videos, I love seeing other people create their own DIY. Yes its a shame that you really cant rely on companies to be honest about whats in their products.

@@NowIAmNappy That's awesome! I most certainly will. Do you have a science background too? If so yay to women in STEM. There are not too many WOC in the field.
I made this yesterday and I was so proud of my results only thing I wish I wouldn’t have added was the preservative because I ended up using all of the cream lol and because I think the preservative changed the product a lil but I think I added a lil too much too either way it goes great product !!!
Great job babe!!! This looks great!!! Slightly off topic, do you normally add your moisturizer to wet hair? I always see people making their twists and their product is oozing out. I feel like I must be doing it wrong??? 😭
I try to always apply to wet hair when its right after wash day. Since I have low porosity hair and my hair is wet from water, when I apply my moisturizer it normally oozes out like that because my hair strand is full of water. Once my hair starts to dry, a "good" or penetrating product will full absorb into my hair. When I moisturize when my hair is dry or not full of water then I dont get that oozing effect.
I would ❤️ to try this, could you convert this into Kitchen utensil measurements. Also can I use Organic Aloe Vera Powder? This looks absolutely amazing.
When I use optiphen plus my emulsions destabilizes. I add it to the cool down phase but another youtuber said she add the optiphen plus when the mixture is hot to prevent it from destabilizing
So you think I'd be able to use this while wearing braids? On a growth journey for bra strap length hair using this protective style. Or do you think it'll create too much buildup?
So I would soak the fenugreek seeds overnight in water, they produce a mucilage and then use the mucilage water and combine with the flaxseed gel when you're ready to heat the mixture up.
Awesome! What can I use to preserve the flaxseed gel if I just wanted to use this? I have certain alcohol, optiphen BTMS 225 and BTMS 50. And what would be the ratio of suggested preservative? TIA
If you dont have the BTMS, you still need some type of emulsifier. The optiphen is a preservative, if you dont have it, the product will spoil in about 7-10 days. You must keep the product in the fridge as well.
BTMS is an emulsifier which binds the water and oil phases. The optiphen is a preservative so your product doesn’t go bad (grow mold) after a week. Please when I did the moisturizer, it was very moisturizing but the mixture is light. How can I make it a little thick. Any advise would be helpful. Thank you.
Why does it has to be so precise ? 33.56g etc. What about regular kitchen measurements as everyone doesn’t have a scale etc. 1/2 c of this. 1 tsp of this... The entire process is so complicated and time consuming. Although I’m sure it works.. it has to be a better more efficient way to get same results!
So many people have requested how to make a “real” deep conditioner. These specific measurements are based on percentages needed to create a deep conditioner that is comparable to store bought conditioner. I can create some other recipes if you like.

Can you make a rinse out conditioners using btms225 ? i have lots of it but dont really know how to use it. Thanks in advance

I would dilute it with some water, otherwise it might be thick for braids
Do you have to put a preservative in the mixture, what if you want it 100% natural ?
Hi This sounds awesome Thanks for sharing. Is it OK if use fenugreek seeds instead of powder-that's what I have. If yes, how much should I add

Hey :) is this a rinse off or leave on product?
Thanks
You leave this on
I have problem of measurements cuz I don’t have a scale. So I was wondering how many cups of water equals to the emulsifying wax.
How much grams/ozs of product does this mixture gives?
Will germaben II work with this formula
Yes you can use that preservative
Thank you for sharing . Can I use beeswax instead of Btms or e wax
Beeswax isn’t going to hold the mixture as well as the btms will
Is it a must that you use the BTMS and Optiphen?

Does it stay creamy like that cause you did add butter
It’s stays creamy because I add the emulsifier
NowIAmNappy ok thank you it looks amazing I’m totally gonna try this DIY 💜
And let the mixture go into a rolling boil for a about 15 minutes until the WHAT begin to form?
Please what’s the name of preservative

Can u use any king of Emulsifying was
lateshia lara yep, any kind you have
How long does this last?
About 5 months, it has a preservative
Do you have to use the btms?
The btms is the emulsifier, it allows the water phase and oil phase to combine, without it, your ingredients wont combine.

What is the difference between btms 25% and btms 225
They are the same, made by different suppliers. You want to look at the INCI name
I thought I could add the flax gel into my oil mixture. But the gel stays on top.
Why is BTMS 25 struggles to dissolve
Hear it longer
When I used the aloe vera gel in the mixture my hand was itchy. Any advice on this
