The height at 0.33😱 Her 3A follows almost all of the criteria for +5 goe. It has very good height and distance, difficult entry, visible effortlessness and matches the music. On her 3A-2T she also has a good rhythm in a combo and an amazing extension on the landing. IMO, the best 3A ever done by a lady. I can’t wait to see it when her physical condition peaks.
yje ytqv Midori’s 3A had insane height but Alena’s has better distance, flow, air position and a difficult entry (also a difficult exit in a combo) so I’d say it’s up to personal preference
Not suprised as she has always had a massive 2A.. Knew she could do a 3A, it was not if but when. Hopefully she will be able to really challenge. Beautiful artistry and expression. Personally think that it will be interesting between her Alina and Rika, who I absolutely love all 3. Alina has nothing to prove anymore she has won everything so no pressure she can just skate and really enjoy. I think more pressure on Rika. Be great to watch how it all pan's out. First senior competition so I hope she has a good skate wishing her all the best 💜💜
Did you see her Test Skate routines? I might have seen a baby outside edge in her Lutzes 👀 it'd be interesting to see a follow-up on the video you did for her Lz edge a while ago
Lmao y'all need to chill. We're all rooting for her! Tbqh I've seen her Test Skate short program over and over again and her Lutz looked legit there. She used Trusova's transition from deep inside to outside edge on her entry and the toe-pick, although low, seemed okay... the full blade never actually touched the ice. People on Twitter were having a discussion on full-blade assistance and they highlighted how many skaters (Yuzuru included) have very low toe-picks on some of their jumps, particularly 4Ts, and that those low picks are still not full-blade assistance... So, if they are fine with low toe-picks as long as the entire blade doesn't touch the ice, then Alyona's Lutz should be deemed as proper... At least the one from her Test Skate SP...
@@kyungsoosmoles 100% agreed with you. She'll definitely improve her lutz as seen in her junior years she had a flat edge most of the time and now outside edge. The person I was replied to said Aliona has a textbook lutz which she has not, and that's not a bad thing. She'll get there eventually.
With a 3A she will obliterate Alina. There was no way they couldn't be giving her the same PCS as Alina even before, and now her 3A will trump the 3Lz3Lo combo. If they both skate clean and Alena DOESN'T win, it will be completely unfair. I also think she will beat Rika with it, assuming Rika doesn't start putting her 4S in the long. Rika is good, but Alena is better. Her transitions even in these clips are way better, and Rika's programs this year don't lend themselves to good PCS IMO- they are just bad programs for her. Elizaveta has no hope any more of ever going to worlds unless the other ladies are injured.
Yes, I love Alena and that 3 axels are huge and high. I am so excited for her. So should we expect the 3A to debute in finlandia trophy or she was just tinkering the jumps? But Alena FS is just as bad as Rika (even worst IMO).
But you will see later that Alina with no 3A can still win over them as long as she doesnt make any big errors. Over high PCS can make competition unfair sometimes.
@@tisha8625 why? Alena has a good Lz now too. She way more effortless and expressive. If they both skate clean with 3As, and Rika wins, there is something wrong.
@@yunilius7193 i dont think so. 3A makes TES equal to Alina, and to me Alena is much more elegant. Alinas FS is better but they both have so much fun with them this year that it hardly matters.
I dunno if they're gonna be fair with Kostornaia especially now that we know that a clean Alina can beat a clean Rika even though Rika has the 3A. I also dunno if she can beat Rika since this is Kostornaia's first senior season and she might get the shitty underserved PCS (luckily Rika and Alina wernet affected by that curse). And for Trusova...........LMAO I want her to beat Trusova but a max of 3A < Good 4 Quads. Best of luck to her (OMG Ive been waiting for the time she gets the chance to go for the Beijing Gold chz) How bout you Triple Flutz give us your thoughts
Alina's pretty darn good, remember that. But I do think Alyona edges Rika out in PCS. Maybe not at the start of the season, but certainly further on. At the end of the day I think it's going to come down to cleanliness
Idk, I feel like the judges are going to eat her up. She's the only female figure skater I can think of who is pretty much universally liked, which is saying a lot because there are people out there who hate pretty much everybody Eteri has ever looked at on pure principle. Even the Koreans llike her. She's a more refined skater than Rika and Trusova as well. If they HAVE to have a Russian champion, I feel like she's the one other feds will push forward.
Midori’s 3 axel is still better. Then Liza and Rika’s 3 axel is pretty good as well. The above 3 ladies land their 3axel in a real competition program, while Alena’s 3axel is in practice, her legs are not that tired so it's not fair to compare them. Looking forward to see Alena’s 3axel in competition program❤ Good luck to her🌹
I like how even though she does a triple axel - double toe loop, you can kind of tell that she’s either landed or aimed for the triple axel - triple toe loop combination
don’t think she will beat zagitova’s well known pcs with that, definitely not trusova’s multiple quads either, will maybe defeat kihira’s inconsistent axel, or shcherbakoba’s quad if anything goes wrong
Evidently puberty is NOT hitting Eteri's young seniors the way people thought it would. By this time, they should be falling like Yulia did. But Trusova's quads are just getting stronger, and Kostornaia lost her 3A and just got it back without much trouble. Anna suffers the most because of her growth, but even she is doing pretty well. We don't know about Kamila yet. The skater who is most uncertain is Daniil Samsonov on the men's side. He's barely grown at all and when he does (if he does?) it will hit him like a ton of bricks.
Its not? What about Kanysheva, injured and out. Anna looks starved and falls a lot. Trusova can't complete a triple lutz triple loop. Plus her landings on all the jumps are scratchy and forced. Shes only 15. Give it some time.
Anna is the most in danger of this, in my opinion. Trusova's body type is not going to throw off her center of gravity even if she grows a bit, but Anna's skating has the same problem as Medvedeva: as soon as she gains any weight, her edge technique (or lack thereof) is not going to be able to get her across the ice anymore. Trusova will power right through it, and Kostornaia seems to be about as big as she's gonna get. The juniors seem to have better skating skills; they're light, but they're not totally dependent on being light in order to skate, so I think the future looks bright for all these ladies tbh
It is hitting Kostornaya. She told in one interview that she had to adjust to her new height and she is still growing. And she was talking about this year...or even this summer.
Puberty ain't hitting yet though they just enter into seniors. The main critism of eteri is that she barely has any skater in the senior level. If medvedeva did not leave to correct her jumps it would have been impossible for her to compete. Her bad technique along with her growing body plus starvation? Not a good combo tbh.
Alena is averagely better than Rika except for the lutz edge and leg-wrap problem. Both programs of Rika's are not as good as the previous season, not enough for her to beat Alena if they both skate clean. But Rika grows fast and is full of potential (Alena too if she can fix her leg-wrap she will be huge!). She improves a lot by comparing her debut season to her last junior season. Actually, both of them are my favorite and I want each of them to win at least once in gp>
@@laihiuvivian I agree with you, and I have a doubt about these young & small quad jumpers if they are able to keep competitiveness throughtout the tough season
俺を誰だと思ってんだあああ I feel like Rika’s consistent technique is still a bit better than Alena, but I love Alena’s interpretation a lot better. Alena makes the programs come alive, I personally enjoy watching her skate more than Rika. She’s almost the total package: artistry and technique.
I’m so happy for Alyona to get her 3A back after temporarily losing it! Especially after the injury that caused her to miss the GPF 😭 I am also happy she improved her lutz! It’s now at worst, flat!! No hate but Danil’s choreo is terrible this season but as usual, Alyona’s artistry saved the day again. I love her versatility in different genres and I would love to see more from her in more subtle themes and genres.
Zagitova has always been overrated garbage. She's almost as slow as Alysa Liu / Caroline Zhang and overly prerotates all of her jumps. She should be given 40 PCS max but as we all know the judging is corrupt. Alena should be getting 78+ PCS but just watch they will give Zagitova 77 PCS for a clean skate and will give Alena 71 PCS
Her double axel is so good... The triple looked just as easy!
I kinda want her legs to be wrapped just a tiny little bit closer together but yeah...she made it look so easy!!

@mish098aimer its not the textbook entry but if you look closesly, its pure toe pick, less than 1/2 prerotate and deep outside.
@@Ed-cx6vr a textbook lutz are minimum pre-rotation, toe pick take off, and DEEP outside edge... And Aliona's edge wasn't deep outside
