About the speaker
Dipanjan Ray, CFA
Dipanjan has 11 years of research and portfolio management experience in Middle Eastern equities. He currently works with Emirates NBD as Head of Research, Asset Management where he leads a team of equity analysts and manages client portfolios.
Prior to that, he was a Portfolio Manager for a Saudi Royal Family Office managing Saudi equities, as well as a senior team member at Saudi Fransi Capital where he established its Sell Side research franchise. He also worked with Deutsche Bank’s MENA research desk in Dubai covering real estate, construction and other infrastructure sectors, where his team was ranked first in the region by Institutional Investor's survey for three consecutive years.
Dipanjan has an MBA from IIFT and is a CFA charterholder. He also volunteers as a grader for the UAE edition of the CFA Institute Research Challenge 2021.
About the moderator
Binod Shankar, CFA
Binod has over 27 years of experience as a banker, external auditor, finance director, entrepreneur and financial trainer. He now spends his time as a keynote speaker, columnist, blogger and podcast host (of the Real Finance Mentor podcast) and as an active volunteer on the board of CFA Society Emirates where he is the Career Services chair.
Binod is a Chartered Accountant, a CFA charter holder and holds a Level 7 qualification from the Institute of Leadership and Management in Coaching and Mentoring.
