It has been fantastic watching your progress on The Python over all this time. Every change has been satisfying, but the cumulative effect has been even better! Some of your changes were for style and preference, and others for practicality for it to fit in your city, but they've all been well thought out, sensible and very well implemented. Kudos Robin, you've done it again!
Look great all finished, love the 4 double decker passengers cars, they all look awesome. I now don't really mind the florescent lime green, it doesn't look that bad.
I've mentioned this before, if there's a jaycobs bogie on one end it's on the other end, yeah on trainsets with jaycob bogies it's the bogies that connects them to the locos, the added weight increases adhesion to the rails along with smoothing the ride greatly (big railfan here)
Maybe you should replace the grilles on the side of the cab car with 1x4 tiles in black as there will be no equipment in it. Will you also add Jacobs Bogies to the locomotive? And will you add a polarity switch to the locomotive so it wont go in reverse.
You should have added the Jacobs Bogie between the rear cab and one of the other pairs leaving the possibility for the railroad to add more in the middle
I think on the driving trailer you such just the smaller bogies so that locomotive look likes it has driven bogies and driving trailer non driven bogies like my teyvat class 137. The driving trailer and coaches have the bogies to each other and power car has bigger bogies for the traction motors
Very nice modifications have you doing there on this train. And the ride of a new train is always very exciting. Because of the tight fit in your City. 👁👁👍👍
I have a similar design for the 60051 train; 4 passengers and 2 cabs, though I had to buy 2 sets, to have a motor in each end - much better traction and longer battery life
I've done the same on my cargo train, 6 motors, 4 battery boxes, but one motor seems enough here. Also the rechargeable battery boxes are great for consistent power!
Mr.Hood, congrats on the changes you have made, it looks stellar! One suggestion tho.. In my opinion the loc and the back car need to have a lime green logo instead of the black logo they have now.. Minor detail but it’s all in the details as you have mentioned before 😃

Regarding the white stripe....why not changing it into something more poppy like red or yellow for indicating the location of first or business class on the train. Love your result anyway!
Train motors in general sometimes get a bad rep with the custom Lego train community because "they don't have any power." In truth, they have plenty of power at high speed, but very little at low speed. This means that while yes, they are underpowered for a slow-moving freight train, they're often perfectly adequate for a high-speed passenger train. And if you can squeeze their massive bulk under the tender of a streamlined passenger steamer, you should be good to go for high-speed service on any layout, especially large ones with wide curves and shallow grades.
I recently watched a review of the 75955 Hogwarts' Express, a set I own but have never built. When showing the passenger carriage something bothered me about it. It was the sticker in the center that really made me notice the lack of detail. The whole carriage just looked flat and boring. I believe that I now notice this after watching your train builds and the attention to detail. I imagine that you would have recessed the sticker or framed it in some way. It's your attention to details that really make your channel interesting.
I really dig the lime wedge plate giving that slice of color. Just imagine the buffet shelves as being able to swing up or to the side for egress. I like the little green switch indicator. Maybe on the back engine it could have a red one. What speed do you typically run the trains at? Full speed seems too fast to me personally, and it looks like it would be tough to catch much detail if they are going too fast.
Just had a thought from seeing the side of the blue bridge. We may be able to do a swallow in its nest with something like a lamp holder piece with a cheese wedge on one side and a bird on the other. There might be better pieces to make that work though.
How’d you make the lights come on as soon as you turned on the battery box, because normally you would have to turn the speed controller to turn on the lights when it’s on the receiver
Yes, I have battery with a normal wire next, then the lights AND the IR Receiver added to the wire. The motor is on the other side of the IR Receiver as usual. This method is great for remembering to turn off your trains if you forget like me!
This is amazing! I’m absolutely chuffed to bits! (I think that’s correct British?) Also, some trains have it where the driver can only move to the back via the side doors, so they have to wait until the train stops at a station.
When you do the interior, you really need a ticket person 🎟 Also, I would style the bar and food section similarly to the APT trains, if you need some photos i can send them, or you could see it for yourself at the Crewe Heritage Centre.🚄

Thank you, my friend!
These upgrades have made it a thousand times better. Love it Robin, a total success!
A thousand thanks!
The benefit of the jacob's bogey is that when the train car derails off the tracks it prevents it from jackknifing the entire train.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
That should also be true of the LEGO version. Sweet!
You've taken a decent looking bullet train model and made it into a spectacular build all around. Super awesome Job, Robin!
You done so many modifications on this train you can basically say it your whole design
Agreed, there's not a lot of the original there anymore, haha!
It a better looking train now. My set is still in the box and after seeing what you done I going to start on my own build.
It has a lot of potential to go in many different directions thanks to the front being brick built rather than a single big piece!

Look great all finished, love the 4 double decker passengers cars, they all look awesome. I now don't really mind the florescent lime green, it doesn't look that bad.
Me too. I have reduced the lime area on each end by about four studs. It's now more of an accent colour than a main colour, which is good!
The locomotive and driving trailer look more identical to each other than before
I'm a big fan of symmetry!
I really love your creations of custom Legos well done!❤❤🎉🎉
