Justin - Thank you for all these videos - I have a OS 325 and do as much general maintenance as I can on my own. Your videos are tremendously helpful due to the knowledge you share ... simply general awareness on all the different systems is very helpful - especially the generator videos because that is what frightens me the most about my boat. Keep fighting the good fight and keep the videos coming!
@justinLee I know the 365DC has a seakeeper option but could the 355 also have a seakeeper added? I know Quality did a few on 385’s and they look really cramped in their. Thinking about a 355 and adding a seakeeper
You would have to have a company that installs Seakeepers take a look and see if it was possible. That's what most dealerships do. Sub it out to someone else.
I love your videos, I've watched them all. I actually liked the old intro. I have 2018 Pursuit S408 with a SeaKeeper. It's a great boat. Do I have to remove the generator to check/replace the zink or check the coolant level on the SeaKeeper. Why doesn't the Fischer Panda Generator have any zinks ? Happy new year.
Well thank you first. Second you will have to pull the generator away from the SeaKeeper to access the zink and coolant. Fischer Panda doesn't use zincs because of how the designed the engine. The closed cooling and how the bonded the ground system to the boat works to protect the engine from electrolysis.
That seems to have a lot of components to fail, for a temperature fault. is it normal for these generators to need so many parts to be be removed and repaired, or is it just Fischer Panda . I know of at least 2 marine generators in my marina that are over 15 years old and have never needed any more than routine (yearly) servicing. Overheating is the main problem, usually impeller issues. One guy had to replace his impeller a couple of extra times due to dirt or debris causing premature demise. I have been told, that Fischer Panda are prone to more technical failures, than most, and this appears to show that.
Waterpump is definitely the number one problem. Only the VCS was bad but because all the components are coded together they have to get sent back together. It looks like there are allot of failures but at the same time we have sold 1000s of boats with Fischer Panda generators and I am the one that deals with 90% of them. That is why I have so many videos about them also. I agree that they don't build things like they used too. 😄

Thank you. I appreciate it and Happy New Year. 🥳
Welcome back and Happy New Year
Thank you and same to you sir.
Thanks for leaving in the unplugged fire suppression hiccup in the video. Very open and honest of you.
Everyone makes mistakes and I appreciate you noticing.
Always something.🙏☺️
The battle will never end🤣
I've gotta say, I'm not missing the old intro music :)
I am trying to progress and learn as I go. 😆

I'd love to hear a response to Paul question about the Zinc as well .... seems strange they don't have one in the heat exchanger....
