My husband had an idea of casting the ghost molds we had with half ResinCrete and half resin, so the top half was opaque and the bottom translucent. It didn’t come out quite like we were expecting, but I did sell out of it before the other ghosts I had at a recent show. I will be trying this as soon as my next resin/resincrete order comes in. Thank you for experimenting, giving us all wonderful ideas, and letting us see it is ok to be messy - because I sure am :)
Thanks for this experiment Steve, it saved us from having to fork out the cash to do the same thing, and that is much appreciated. Those crosses and cogs were beautiful in the Resincrete/resin and were stronger than I expected them to be. I think Resincrete is amazing stuff and it gives such a pure and lovely white finish. I wonder what other cool things can be done with it? I'm sure you will be pushing the boundaries of what is possible with it for some time yet! Have a great week and God bless you and your family.
Can't find Resin Crete in Australia but we have some similar products do will give this a go. Love that you do these experiments for us Steve. So helpful.
Thank you! I'll be doing some "paint your own" kits for a craft show next month and this will help to make the pieces a bit sturdier. It will come in handy for my Dream mold that breaks if using just Resincrete. 😃😍
Great video. You did make me smile with the nail varnish. I would have not thought about painting resin/resincrete ornament with nail varnish! Thank you for posting the video.
Great experiment! Love how the marbled piece came out. This combo is apparently very good for laying down color patches that you don't want to move and creating a more stone texture with the durability of resin. Well done! 😁👍
Wow - I can't wait to try this! I just got my first bag of ResinCrete and so far I've only done the basic projects with the molds that came with the kit. What were the proportions of resin to ResinCrete that was used here? Did you follow the liquid to powder ratio that ResinCrete uses with water?
Those small fragile pieces might do better with polyurethane resin it says flexible for longer so you can remove it from the mold then it hardens slower
Hi Steve: I have a a resin question. I made a wooden palette for my art paints, and I would like to top coast with a resin coat. What would you recommend for hardness and not scratching when using the mixing knives. Thank you TPB
Hi Steve. I have always been afraid to do the windchimes in resin because of melting in the sun. Do you think that this mixture would allow them to hold up outside?
I used about 100ml of resin to one heaped scoop. I have used this method a lot since making this video and added slightly less ResinCrete. It worked really well. I have a video coming out in a couple of weeks on my other channel where I made some delicate 🐝 with it and painted them.
Hi, I have been following your art , and I love what you’re doing with resin and stuff. Congratulations. I have a question for you: The finished figurines made out of resincrete are weighting the same as the ones made out of epoxy resin? I mean, are they heavier or is it about the same? Thank you for your time
So with your mustache I think you could be a country detective on Brit Box👍. But moving on I am wondering when you mix the two materials can you use real candles instead of battery ones? 😊
I wouldn't have thought the powder would dissolve in resin. It's made to dissolve and activate in water. Did it dissolve, or was it just alot of powder in the resin?? Scientifically speaking.
How fabulous is that! I have tried making the giant snail with an eco resin( I can't get resincrete sent to Italy 😢) and the eye stalks have always broken off. I'm definitely going to give this a try. Thank you Steve.
@maxinecambal7544 have you tried pouring the antenna for the snail out of epoxy resin, then when they are cured, leave them in the mould, then pour the eco resin into the rest of the mould to make the rest of the body. That's just an idea but it might work. Hope it helps. God bless you and your family.
@@carlycharlesworth1497 I have tried it and it does work if you pour the eco pour before the resin has fully cured but I so wanted to have it all in the eco pour. If you let the resin cure the eco pour doesn’t adhere very well. Thank you for your suggestion. Have a lovely day.
Thought the marbled figure looked like a tube of aquafresh 🤪😇😂

You have such a lovely fun personality… I really enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for sharing! ❤
Thank you for all of the experiments you do! It saves a lot of us from ourselves. I love the torso mold! 👏
Love the new moustache.
Awesome experiment, Steve! Thank you!! 😍❤
That was a great experiment! I didn't catch how much resin you mixed up, though. I'd like to try this sometime when I have more resin.
Awesome Video Steve McDonald
Okay I love the bust it came out really well, that's awesome❤
I read where the two do bond and for superior strength you can layer them. I have not tried it yet but it’s on my list.😊
1:39 “don’t forget to wipe your tip” 😂😂😂😂
You are so imaginative & adventurous - THANKS for showing us your many resin experiments! 🥳

Totally not what I was expecting! I think it look fabulous Steve. Thank you for doing all the tests.
Except for the clickbait thumbnails I like your videos!
Great experiment!! What ratio of resin to the powder did you use? Thanknyou! 👏🏻👏🏻
What ratio of powder to mixed resin please ? Thanks in advance
fantastic experiment! love your mind!
Ha ha ha, my hubby jumped a mile in the air because I laughed so hard when you were ‘feeling her b()m!! 😂😂😂😂😂
Super awesome. Thanks for sharing

Thank you for doing these experiments.
I have a Playlist of all of them.
Can't wait to try it!
Lookin sharp! Great video, clear and informative! Thank
Interesting 😳 Thank you. 😊
Great video. You did make me smile with the nail varnish. I would have not thought about painting resin/resincrete ornament with nail varnish! Thank you for posting the video.
Thank you. I love nail varnish as a painting medium it gives some amazing results.
Can the resincrete be colored prior to be poured into the mold?
Love this video! How much resin did you use? What did you use for the color? Thank you for sharing!!
Ty for your expertise!!! ☙
Great experiment. Like the fact it can be used with resin and painted. ❤❤❤ the results. Great tutorial 🥰

Awesome thanks for the experiment
Hi Steve, Super cool experiment thanks for sharing ❤️👍✨
Thanks for this , ive been looking at using resincrete for bookmarks but its toooo brittle. You may have solved my problem. Much appreciated.
Love the experiment. Great results.
6:47 the (s)nail varnish worked well...
Do you have a ratio of resincrete to resin?
Thank You!! I've been wanting to try this but not in a position for more supplies right now. ❤❤
You wild and crazy guy!! 😀😀
Hi Steve, thanks for your experiments. Just a quick question - how long did you let the mixture cure?
This mixed method seems to retain a darker pigment color instead of curing kind of pastel like plain resincrete. I'll have to try this.
Hi Steve. I love your videos, it would be even better if you could add links for Australia users if that is possible 😊
Those small fragile pieces might do better with polyurethane resin it says flexible for longer so you can remove it from the mold then it hardens slower
hi steve can you show us how to use resin crete and how to go about the measurement levels how to work it out thanks xx

They are about the same 😀

Dang Steve, I was just wondering about this a last week or so ago. I dont use 2 part epoxy. I am curious if it can be used with UV resin?
How fabulous is that! I have tried making the giant snail with an eco resin( I can't get resincrete sent to Italy 😢) and the eye stalks have always broken off. I'm definitely going to give this a try.

Look forward to hearing how it goes

very interesting! did it seem to delay the curing time?
Steve how do you know if Mixing things to resin is safe before you try ?
Have you tried that instant cure resin? It mixes clear but cures white in like 5 minutes?
What ratio of resin to the powder did you use?
Lightly dust your mold with the powder before pouring
Can deep pour resin be put in a pressure pot?
❤❤❤
👍🏻
hehehehehe, Don't you mean pain in the bust? Okay. Punny. But hopefully worth a giggle.
Resincrete não é só talco com resina? Não ficaria mais barato? Não tenho coragem de testar! Sabe ? Talco industrial.
❤
did anyone catch the resincrete to ab resin ratio? it looked like 8 oz to a scoop... does Resincrete come with a scoop?
No sticky tip not fun lol
