Thanks, Phil. All I have to do now is remember--I am 73, and taking the CA exam after being licensed in NY State for over 18 years! The NASW has done nothing to have the States except each other's licenses like doctors, and nurses. Social workers are the bottom feeders. More money going to a license, and exams fees.
All they care about are their Liberal, Left Wing Political policies. They do nothing for the social workers who slave every day to help people, at the lowest rates possible for a professional with a Master's degree and licensing. Why not advocate for social workers who move from State to State like I did? It's stupid to through the process again. Time, and money is what is cost.
Phill I passed my LCSW exam today! It was my first attempt too. I want to thank you for your help because I know you were part of my study journey and definitely one of the reasons I passed! Cheers and cheers to you for sharing your knowledge with us!
Awesome!!! I love your delivery! Initially, I thought, 'why is he typing everything, this will take so long', but I really LOVE it because it enables me to jot down notes!!!
Hi Phil, I watched nearly all of your practice question videos and those similar to this one. I was able to gain so much about how to strategize answering application questions. I paid close attention to your answer rationales in addition to the Apgar book. I followed your advice to do what works for me and passed the first time. I am so thankful for your free content. You were extremely helpful…THANK YOU!
Thanks for your help!! How can I specifically decipher what’s useful for the LMSW or LCSW exam? I’m studying for the LMSW exam and want to make sure I’m studying the right material. Thanks!
Hi, I came across some discrepancies in the ages for Erikson’s 8 stages of development. For example, I’ve read that Stage 3 is from ages 3-5 and so forth. Do you know if the age categories have been updated since this video has been made? Or which ones are correct?
Jean Marc Beaubrun in my Apgar's ASWB Master's Exam Guide, Initiative vs Guilt is written to be around 3 to 6 and Industry vs. Inferiority is from age 6 to puberty.
The information is important for the exam, but the delivery in this video was too monotone and dull that I couldn't bear to watch the whole video. And the acronyms were too blah to remember- I'd rather create my own phrases. I think this could be really helpful if the delivery was at least a little bit exciting and not sounding like you're bored by your own info. I watched another video to compare and you're much more engaging in that one, but this video just wasn't the best delivery.
Wow, that was a little harsh! Phil is awesome! I have learned so much from him. Sometimes we just need to extend grace if we are disappointed and own that as our opinion or perspective. It’s best to just be thankful Phil does this for us, and EVERY video is helpful.
This would be much easier to follow if you could type/spell better. I'm so distracted by the back-spacing and fixing words that it's hard to follow the content.
@@PhilintheGaps This was helpful. You have made significant progress over the course of your video making. In your more recent videos, your energy is amazing and you are doing great work helping us all to pass our exams and be the best versions of ourselves! Thank you!

This is very sad. Whats the need for NASW if it cannot advocate for its professionals.......

Have you gotten 90-105 right on a practice exam for the ASWB and passed the actual exam?

What is an example of what could happen during "initiative vs guilt" that would cause a kid to have failure in this stage?
This was super helpful!!!!
What are the topics for just the lmsw exam?
On the exam, does anyone know if the ages are given or not?

Thanks for video.
I seen online the age range for Initiative Vs. Guilt is 3 to 5 not 3 to 6 and for Industry Vs. Inferiority the age range is 5 to 12 not 6 to 12.

Slow typing and mistakes are tedious
I am sorry you did not like this video. This was one of the first ones I ever recorded.

the typing is distracting... slides would help more
I like the typing I guess "to each his own"
