Good choice to sell the Daytona. Watches are meant to be enjoyed. The reason why you had the Explorer II with you for your travels is obviously because you like wearing it! The Explorer II is an awesome every day watch. While the Patek is beautiful it looks a bit unexciting. I love the JLC Reverso; really elegant piece. Would keep that in a heartbeat over the Patek. Forget about the name and prestige factor when it comes to the Patek. The Reverso is elegant and so much more interesting. The Man on the Moon is a watch that I would also wear. While the Daytona is beautiful, I would never wear it for multiple personal reasons. Best investment you can make is to pay down debt. You still have a collection that makes most of us salivate! You still need to find a shitter that you love! An important part of any collection! Hang in there.
At your age Archie you shouldn’t have a mortgage that a change of interest rates is stressing you out, sell all the watches, you don’t need any of them and pay off all your debt. You have plenty of photos in your library to pretend that you still have a collection if that’s what you care about?
Arch, you did right, i also have s 6pc Rolex, and a two pc, PP collection, the Daytona 2tone is my favorite. My PP 56mm pocket watch, is for dress 3pc suits ware and my PP 6104G is for special Events, sell off what you don't need, things always get better, you will be ok.
The most beautiful Daytona? Nah. Phatek next, then the two tone submariner. The JLC and the speedy are not worth much, maybe the explorer II will go too (easier to be sell than the Phatek).
