i mean i loved Blake Lively, have always been a fan but from the announcement of Blakes casting I've always thought Coleen Hoover should have trusted the popularity of the book, they should have gone with an unknown actress. those who know the true meaning of the message behind the book im sure can all agree that Blake lively did nothing to amplify the meaning of that book. it makes me sad because to a certain extent Colleen Hoover also seemed to get swept away by the glitz and glamour and forgot herself the true meaning of the book. instead Blake and her Husband treated it as a love story and Blake basically had a fashion show. her interviews showed how out of touch with reality she is and quite frankly she didn't come across as very intelligent as well (she kept saying gravitas 🤔like what was that about) She came out as bully to be honest.
I thought she was a terrible lily :( all the yeh yeh yehs and baby baby baby baby. Her whole look even the flower shop is not what I imagined when I read the book and what’s with the young atlas and Lily looking SO old ! Loved the book the movie I would never have watch again.
Thing is Justin said all this in real time and at the *appropriate* time. This just comes off as collateral damage from Brandon. I’m not a DV survivor luckily but I imagine that Blake’s flippant interviews and obsession with her image whilst signposting people to her haircare line and using her alcohol line to be a part of the films promotion would be interpreted as insensitive. No one sellotaped any of the ladies mouths shut during their press rounds and they’re not teenagers either yet none of them articulated the serious message behind this film. In fact it comes off as disturbingly clownish and an opportunity for Blake to just flaunt her life, interests and her husband without ever directly connecting with what the message of the film is intended to be.
The thing is if you go by interviews alone . It looks like Justin is the one who really is standing for women victims of domestic abuse. Blake do not even want to acknowledge those women who would relate to the story. She just wants people to have a fun girl's night out, to buy tickets and to promote her drinks 😅 That is one stupid comment he made and prove that he is tone death to the fact that what people disliked was in fact that the main woman in the cast was not standing up for the things he mentioned.

i mean i loved Blake Lively, have always been a fan but from the announcement of Blakes casting I've always thought Coleen Hoover should have trusted the popularity of the book, they should have gone with an unknown actress. those who know the true meaning of the message behind the book im sure can all agree that Blake lively did nothing to amplify the meaning of that book. it makes me sad because to a certain extent Colleen Hoover also seemed to get swept away by the glitz and glamour and forgot herself the true meaning of the book. instead Blake and her Husband treated it as a love story and Blake basically had a fashion show. her interviews showed how out of touch with reality she is and quite frankly she didn't come across as very intelligent as well (she kept saying gravitas 🤔like what was that about) She came out as bully to be honest.
I thought she was a terrible lily :( all the yeh yeh yehs and baby baby baby baby. Her whole look even the flower shop is not what I imagined when I read the book and what’s with the young atlas and Lily looking SO old ! Loved the book the movie I would never have watch again.
Blake has been promoting the film as if it were a feel-good chic-flic. Shame.

Thing is Justin said all this in real time and at the *appropriate* time. This just comes off as collateral damage from Brandon. I’m not a DV survivor luckily but I imagine that Blake’s flippant interviews and obsession with her image whilst signposting people to her haircare line and using her alcohol line to be a part of the films promotion would be interpreted as insensitive. No one sellotaped any of the ladies mouths shut during their press rounds and they’re not teenagers either yet none of them articulated the serious message behind this film. In fact it comes off as disturbingly clownish and an opportunity for Blake to just flaunt her life, interests and her husband without ever directly connecting with what the message of the film is intended to be.

The thing is if you go by interviews alone . It looks like Justin is the one who really is standing for women victims of domestic abuse. Blake do not even want to acknowledge those women who would relate to the story. She just wants people to have a fun girl's night out, to buy tickets and to promote her drinks 😅 That is one stupid comment he made and prove that he is tone death to the fact that what people disliked was in fact that the main woman in the cast was not standing up for the things he mentioned.
