Sometimes people fail to take a step back and see how this niche interest they're super into looks to total outsiders. Which is fine if they don't care about outsiders' opinions but becomes a problem when they're trying to evangelize for the fandom. The Bionicle lore video legit looks like a shitpost to people with no knowledge or nostalgia for the toy line.

Having been deep into the vtuber space for a couple years as an indie streamer and viewer, the thing is the majority of the content isnt all that different from any other content creator, but the highlights and clips people create tend to draw from quirks or little quirky personality moments as opposed to the actual subject matter of the streams. Yeah sometimes theres an element of acting to streams, but a lot of people only see these highlight reels that tend to cater to a very specific type of audience, whereas the most accessible content is often left in the vods.
I'm a vtuber fan. Why do the other vtuber fans keep sending in such bad clips? Seriously. Either make it short and sweet, so even if he doesn't care for it, it's over quickly (ex: under a minute clips, preferably 30 seconds or less), or make it something that Woolie would watch if it were a normal streamer. A clip of a normal streamer talking about BL Woolie wouldn't give a care about, why would anime avatar suddenly make him interested? And it has a flair and creativity that makes it a ton of fun to watch. But in the end, I agree that it's a tad too zany for most people to stomach.

They are also 60 seconds tops. In fact i would say this was equivalent of showing a PS1 game emulated on PS3 when it's 2009 and actual PS3 games exist. It fits perfectly since there is jank and a lot of it for PS3 generation, but it still shows actual level of technological progress and potential of what things could be. But now you have Woolie thinking that PS1 is in fact the best we can do at the current moment.

It likes to reference media Woolie and co have engaged in at one point or another. It has a lot of effort and love put into it so maybe some people think that would be enough to bridge the gap. And it has a flair and creativity that makes it a ton of fun to watch. But in the end, I agree that it's a tad too zany for most people to stomach.

TLO Roll Call is one of my favorite classic internet bits. It's by Satellite High, from back in the Helldump days of the SomethingAwful Forums. Helldump used to be a subforum specifically for calling out other forums users, initially to get rid of problem posters but eventually about 15-20 years ago it ended up eating itself to death (thankfully, it was toxic as hell lol). It was not meant to be a positive portrayal of that group.

I don't watch Vtubers or Neuro-sama, but there are plenty of funny and interesting clips there she interacts with chat or actual Vtubers, that showcases AI capabilities way better. They are also 60 seconds tops.
In fact i would say this was equivalent of showing a PS1 game emulated on PS3 when it's 2009 and actual PS3 games exist. It fits perfectly since there is jank and a lot of it for PS3 generation, but it still shows actual level of technological progress and potential of what things could be. But now you have Woolie thinking that PS1 is in fact the best we can do at the current moment.

But when the player starts doing it correctly and experiment, the rest of the code updates to show more and more later, rinse and repeat until it’s complete, and that’s for all characters except the troll characters!
