Massive Club Sheffield Wednesday even though the last 24 years have been HELL there still Yorkshires most Successful football club with the best history & what a great very loyal fanbase who will always be Sheffield biggest club if we are honest! Yes Forest are a Proper club just like the boys from Hillsborough are we respect Forest also Mate 👍 Great channel Pal 👏👏👍👊💙
I once stayed in the Hillsborough Hotel in Hillsborough, it was a cracking pub with good value accommodation, sad to see that it closed in 2020 and is now apartments. You would have loved it Dale.
You need to try S35 High Green, Chapeltown, Burncross, think there's about 25 different places to drink including a spoons and a little village pub called The Pack Horse
Only The Pack Horse, The Queens (which may be closing) and The Working Men's Club left in High Green now. 13 Pubs/Bars and 2 Clubs in Chapeltown/Burncross.
Nice to see you having a trek around my neck of thr Sheffield woods. The bit between Hillsborough and Bramall Lane has a good few names as you travel between districts. Theres Shalesmoor, which has The Wellington and The Shakespeare, which also leads you nicely backwards onto Kelham Island, which has The Fat Cat, Kelham Tavern and a bunch of nice new micro pubs as you travel back along Neepsend. There's the Gardeners Rest and the Forest at the Rutland Road end, which would round off a pretty decent pub crawl. A slight addendum, my great aunt used to run the Queens Ground for many years. Not a pub I use very often, but it is nice to wander in and have a tipple now and again.
Enjoyed the vlog, glad you enjoyed the pubs - though Hillsborough isn't a town just a busy suburb. The bit between Hillsborough and Ecclesall Road are Walkley,Crookes and Broomhill areas. You will have to do a crawl round Walkley and Crookes next time,my suggestions would be Raven,Blind Monkey,Rose House,Walkley Beer Co,Walkley Cottage,Florist,Two Sheds,Punchbowl,Princess Royal,Cobden View,Noahs Ark,Ball,Masons,Closed Shop and Hallamshire House. And dont forget my favourite The Blake Hotel on probably the steepest street in Sheffield !
Best pubs round Hillsbrough are The Mailin Bridge and New Barrak tavern. You really missed out on The Mailin Bridge, reccomend going at Christmas/Halloween etc as they are brilliant at decor and have one of the best beer gardens in the UK
The bit in-between Eccleshall Road and Hillsborough, forget the city centre (because it's bobbins) is Kelham Island, and it will keep you busy fir days and days, fabulous place. 👍
Its not called Hillsborough because of the hills, its named after Hillsborough in Ireland. The earl of Hillsborough built what is now Hillsborough park library as his home and he gifted it to the council along with the land after his death Four immediate roads from the park are named after his children Garry, Dorothy, Dixon, Lennox. Also it isn't a town, its a borough of Sheffield just like the rest. Might be slightly throwing you as its a little way away from the city center but its because Sheffield is a bigger city than some realize. Hillsborough is a suburb of Sheffield
New subscriber here. Miss England. I really love your channel. Would love to see some content up north for my own personal reasons. Check out a small seaside town called Hartlepool - specifically the headland. Has some fantastic old pubs, right on the coast ❤
Seriously? Dale could do every decent pub in the North East ( Newcastle excepted ) in one day. It really is that bad up here. There are only 2 pubs on the Headland that serve cask ale, The Globe and they only serve the one, and the Fishermans, which has maybe 4 real ale ( not the best selection IMO) and maybe 3 keg beers, that are probably okay if you like that sort of thing. He should check the North East out though, but I would concentrate on Newcastle, Durham and Stockton, I think he went to Darlington on a bad day, its not that great though. Sunderland has a couple of decent pubs, and the Grey Horse in Consett is arguably the best pub in the North East.

A pub with a snooker table, at one time loads of Sheffield pubs had them

@@anthonyclay4962 yes just added em up I get 17 (including snooker club) 👍
@@SheffieldSteve791 I forgot the Snooker Club!
The best pub in Hillsborough was the Old Blue Ball back in the 90s/2000s. Great memories in that place
I was gonna post exactly the same, but you beat me to it!! Loved the old blue ball, I had some great nights in there back in the 90's.
Sheffield town centre is between Hillsborough and the Lane, pubs and bars galore, mostly very trendy 👍👍

I'm from the red side of the city but that (H) place used to be a fantastic night out, not as good now as it used to be, great vlog!
At 12.30… Someone is not happy with you! Cracking video as always and looking forward to your next video.
I noticed that bloke in the blue coat 😂 probably told his wife he was popping down the shop...

You should come to walkley. Raven, walkley beer co, blind monkey, walkley cottage and the blake
It’s Crookes, Walkley and Fulwood that’s between Hillsborough and Ecclesall Road, big student area
Pangolin is my fav Hillsborough establishment you definitely need to do Walkley/Crookes next

Depending on which way you go, you could do a tour round crookes and broomhill, then you would end up at eccy road
There also a sports bar in the barracks just after queens ground that you missed pal
Come to Crookes, 2 sheds , punch bowl , the ball , masons , cobden, social club
