Finally getting my first heat press. I been cleaning and using a tack iron for about 2 years. So I'm so ready. Also I have watch all your videos. Plus I have been using your grade tools for over a year. I have got great at it. Comic book store I work at I have stunned almost everybody there. So Thank You so Much !!
I like my Vevor. A bit smoother than the Tusy press. Easy assembly. I have 5 presses running on this epic full GI Joe master collection - all, Marvel, IDW, DDP, Image... all in 9.8's. 😎 only a few more left to go! Your channel has been a great compendium to go with this project and very helpful. 🤙🏼
Thank you Jim for giving us a tour of your operation. I always imagined your comic book room as an office size or extra bedroom. It's more like an advanced comic book closet. LOL. I can't wait to hear how these Vevor presses work out. I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas.
Most good PID controllers go through a calibration phase to establish the controller settings. After that, it will start cycling the heat on and off before it hits your target temp.
The Harry Potter comment, that was me! 😂🤣I love the small door! We need a video tour of what is behind the small door. I'm picturing a chocolate river and a team of Oompa Loompas. Hmm, that would explain who actually works on the comic books. 😉 I just bought my first press as a Christmas gift to me, a Vevor clamshell. Wish me luck!
Thanks so much for sharing - really appreciate the look at your setup and how you go about getting a new press ready. I'm also working on a McFarlane ASM run - you're way ahead of me with only five to go!
I have that Vevor as well! It’s been serving me well for about a year. The back column on mine is not strong enough so it rocks back if you try to lower the lid with high pressure. Their springs are too high tension so I removed 3 of the 6. Fortunately you don’t need really high pressure, especially for HOPing, so it serves our purposes.
Any concern with overloading a breaker? I'm sure you won't have all seven going at one time but this is definitely something to think about as you have several going. Most closets/smaller rooms are tied to another room/bedroom for power purposes. May be work investing to have an electrician to come out and see what you want to do and have them either beef up the electrical outlets/wires to better handle your needs.
You gave me an idea for the group, maybe we could do a "New Product Rating", Or like Votes on different things Like you said the running theme seems to be that those Plates from Immaculate Comics seem to be the best Choice. Your Yoda impression is good to Jim. Haha It gives me another idea for the Jim Mint Comic Book. I'm currently working on your Superhero Costume haha
Just a heads up. Some of those presses have a programming error. The timers can't be set past 99 seconds or the control box freaks out. Also, like you have shown the temps will climb higher in the beginning and then come back down.
Love the peek behind the scenes. Wow I didn't think your room was that small.

Love the quick tour!

I have the same press and it does a great job no issues at all. After the timer goes off it’ll run about 10 more minutes and shut itself off
Oh does it have an auto off? I have one but never let it go after the alarm. I might try just setting it for a minute and letting it auto off.
@ yes if you let the alarm go off it’ll shut off the LED will just display OFF
haha the wife was like you get under the stairs

I use the same press you just got. Been using it for 6 months or so, no issues.
I have the same press, it works great.
We want to see the rest of your CGC comic and raw collection....
Cool 😎👍🏾

I have the same press. My cats HATE the beeping, highly irritating.
Lol, I’m watching the video, cat in my lap, when the press beeped. She flattened her ears and jumped away when the beeper sounded!
Debating on a clamshell press vs swing away?
I have clam shell big enough for two books (15x15?) at a time…works for me
Can I pay you to press a few of my comics?
Im-press-ive. ;)
You deserve an upgrade. Get your wife to allow you to use a bigger room.
Scaling up. Maintain standards…
