Thank you very much. There's a lot of people showing you how to replace the bushing. But not a single one of them was showing you how to remove it from the mounting bracket. And obviously you cannot see what's on the backside of the mounting bracket. You're a godsend thank you very much

There sure ain't no videos on replacing a bushing or the cable on a 2011 Chevy cruze..none idk what to do now, can't afford a mechanic, I'm almost positive the cable has stretched when the bushing was off..I replaced the bushing and still having some issues..need help
My 2009 Chrysler sebring is stuck in park. The Shifter cable is stiff and too long to connect to the shift linkage. I’ve tried popping the hood and manually hooking it back on but the springs on the shifter cable won’t contract so I’m not able to connect it. I’m assuming Either the cable is stuck Or out of position or the shift linkage. The cable just seems too long almost overlapping the linkage. Any tips or advice? Thank you!!!
@@Neoroticus yes ! I had to buy a shifter cable off EBay, I changed it myself and didn’t take more than 30 mins to do it. If you need help or some directions let me kno it wasn’t a hard task. The hardest part would be actually getting the cable

Being a “truck guy”, I spent all night watching RUclips vids that had me looking at the shifter, shifter solenoid, speed sensor… shifter would move, just not leave Park gear. BAM!!… I watch this video, take a look under the hood and see end of the cable completely off of the link… that little white bushing is completely gone. I wonder if the bushing can be replaced or will I need to buy that entire upper cable you changed out in this video?… that would be too easy, right? Anyway, I missed a day’s shift at work, but luckily you & your video helped shield me from a repair bill that I know would have cost me a lot more of my money than a missed day of work. Thank you!
Hello, thank you for posting your question. If the transmission doesn't go all the way into the park it can prevent the car from starting Let me know if you have any other options. Have a great thanksgiving and God bless you 🙏
@@gqautodiagnostics so I feel like is it going in park because the doors unlock. But at the same time two months ago I replace the alternator. And it wasn’t starting. So bam I slam it in gear and it starter right up. So I’m not sure if that could be it. I read a bunch of forums it could be the ground to the transmission. So I’m going to look at tomorrow in the morning. Hopefully it works. I swap relays and still nothing. And I know ignition switch don’t usually go bad
@@gqautodiagnostics my mother has a 2000 grand prix her shifter cable is bad per the shop they been lokking for over a week for one at junk yards and looking online now. I am terrified cause she does not have money for new car if we cant find one. What do you suggest and thank you

Hey sorry if this info is coming really late but literally all you do to disconnect it from transmission is pop off the bushing from it that he shows really early on in the video. It sits on top of the transmission within easy eyesight standing above the hood. Long metal thin bar connecting to small yellow bushing, can’t miss it.

My car won't shift out of drive into neutral park or reverse. Is it a cable issue?
Check the fuses first. Keep me posted
Will this help if my impala. I can reverse but will I enter drive gear it won’t move forward at all. Thanks
If reverse is the only gear your car moves in it's more then likely toast unless it say needs the shift solenoids.

Do you have the front cable assembly video to shifter
No, I do not.
If in my 2010 Impala it only goes into reverse and first and second, third and fourth, can't it be the cable?
