Hi beautiful knitters! Such video is my gratitude and a gift for the holiday season. I hope this video can expand your knitting experience and maybe add some inspiration to a knitting journey! Thank you very much for your warm comments, I am wishing you a wonderful Christmas and a New Year! hugs 🤗
Fabulous podcast thanks. So many alternatives discussed. I can attest to the softness of the Kremke BabySilk lace solid. Love it to knit with. Love watching your podcasts 🥰🙏💚
Thank you for a great video! Another affordable mohair alternative is Midnatssol by Camarose. It’s alpaca fibres with tencel core if I remember correctly (the structure of the yarn is exaclry like standard silk mohair). I made a vest with it and the quality is great. It’s very soft and flufy
Thanks a lot for this non-obvious selection, there are a few new yarns and brands for me, and I’m a bit of a yarn nerd 😅 I wish I had more hands to try all of them! I can add a few options to your list, that I feel are also not so well known: Lucia and Haya by Holst Garn (both with a little bit of yak), Brushed Merino by Lotus Yarns, Trilogy and Lulu by Inka Tops (available on cones via Etsy). I also think Inka Tops produces some of the alpaca yarns for Kremke, because they look the same and have the same composition. Cariaggi also has a few other brushed cashmere options like Nuage and Goldie.
Woow, thank you very much for mentioning new yarns to me! I am a yarn nerd too, it’s nice to meet you 😁 I’ve heard of lotus yarns, will check them out! Also other options you’ve mentioned 🤗
Hello!! Even though a lot of these yarns are expensive, they could be added to something for a Sophie scarf or shawl! That wouldn’t break the bank. lol. Would you recommend washing before use to get the greatest effect? Great video,! Thank you. 😊
You are right, we can always make a smaller item and still enjoy the fiber! Yarns that are sold for handknits don’t have the spinning oil, so I don’t think it’s necessary to wash before use, they are ready to start immediately 🤗 However, I always wash the swatch to understand the correct gauge and to know what to expect :)

Oh thank you so much for watching and leaving a warm comment 🤗 I would love to try this yarn, and maybe even knit an entire blouse in it 😍
Very useful video, I got to know many new yarns! Merry Christmas 🤗

Everytime I am on Etsy I prefer to support the Ukranian shops! I bought the best needle case from an ukranian shop!
Oh this is so kind! Thank you very much 🙏🏼 I got a handmade bag from Ukrainian Etsy shop the other day, it’s amazing!
I wish the farmers didn’t have to eat the yaks 😢
