Currently, I'm in my Final year MBBS from Pakistan. I want to give Plab. I have a Hepatitis B infection. Can I do the job after clearing Plab in the UK with this infection or not? Is there any occupational health checkup for hepatitis before the Job? Please guide me so that I can start my preparation with no confusion..
Hello doctor. I have no information about your case. There are no health requirements to take the exam however I’d advise you to check your county’s visa requirements. Also at the time of job applications, every hospital might want something different. For that I’d say it’s better for you to call GMC for the most accurate info. Good luck ☺️
I haven’t had any yet but everyone I know took only one. We all have one free signature class, the extra other ones are paid unfortunately. I’ll update you after I took mine. 🙏
@naghmasiddiqui8035 Most people book their class for a date just before their exam. I booked mine for a date that’s 4 days before my exam. Booking needs to be made at least 2 weeks ahead though, so don’t leave it until the day you want to take it, staff is not very helpful in these matters 🙃
I think at least 3 weeks ahead AFTER YOU FINISH ALL the online part and did some sufficient online practicing. Not because clinical part require that much time to study but academy schedule changes a lot and you’ll have mocks, signature class & some time off as well. So better to have substantial amount of time. That way if you miss sth in one week you can catch it in the next. I did a mistake of coming here for only 2 weeks and not practicing, finishing topics etc. beforehand. Learn from my mistakes 🥹
