This has to be one of the best examples of perserverance. They said she had no talent? Wow, how wrong they were. Glad she didn't listen. Thanks Jordan!
The only celebrity that when I heard they had passed, I burst into tears and cried all day like a fool. To this baby boomer and most baby boomers, she was like a mother. I was lucky enough to meet Lucy and Desi when I was a kid and we lived in Southern California, there was some sort of benefit at their ranch and I remember jumping up and down saying " it's Lucy ' O Ball! " Lol.
Thank you Jordan for Amazing Lucy she makes us laugh & cry just along with her in all that comedy she did lots of wonderful childhood memories watching her with my parents & get to tell my children about her & how wonderful she made world laugh to get away from everyday life just for a while so again Thanks Jordan Safe Travels you & Jah
She wound up being HUGE !! Amazing, Beautiful Talent. She did Good for the industry as well. She stood up for the STAR TREK series. She stood up for the BRADY BUNCH series. These are shows we may have never known if she had not help back them. I Love Her, because I grew up watching her along with a Mom. The I LOVE LUCY series was Amazing. Great job on this one. Thank You, Jordan !
I used to watch I Love Lucy and The Lucy Show after school while doing homework. Always loved both shows and Lucy was always the highlight. Beautiful, lovely Lucy.
Our family visited the Lucy Museum and her grave last year. Our boys (13 and 11) love ILL and really enjoyed visiting the sites. When we returned home our 11 year old whispered to me “I miss Lucy.” ❤️
Thank you Jordan for this incredible experience, I love Lucy!!! Because of you, I can see the beautiful tributes to her even though I can't travel...♥️😊⚘🌹💥⚘⚘
Lucille Ball - a true legend. Jordan you and Lucy have a few things in common. Her father passed when she was young and throughout her life, she had a guardian angel who placed the right people in her life and the perfect time - just like you Jordan. This vlog was so well done - for anyone who is a Lucy fan this is a must watch!!!!
Ricky wasn't the only one who loved Lucy, I believe every person who ever watched the show loved Lucy too. In the 70s I took a tour thru Universal studios and we got to tour her dressing room. She actually had a 2 bedroom house for her dressing room.
Outstanding Vlog, I love it. I have been a big fan of I Love Lucy from the early 60's. Desi and Lucy were so great together. When my Mom was a young woman every time Desi Arnaz and his Orchestra came to Chicago, they played at the Chicago Theater on State Street, my Mom and her girlfriend's went to see him play. She told me that she loved to watch him, he was very handsome. Thank you for showing us.
Great video, Jordan. I'm a big Lucy lover. I just wished they'd left Lucy at Forest Lawn in Hollywood Hills. I know it was just a simple cremation box next to her mom, but the property at Forest Lawn is breathtaking. Don't want to start any arguments, but I am glad I got to visit there while Lucy and her mom were there.
I grew up enjoying watching the reruns of all her shows and indeed an outstanding comedian. She is an example of how you don't have to be vulgar in order to be funny. She was great in the Three Stooges short Three Little Pigskins ( hope I got the title correct).
I love Lucy just like everyone and this video was so informative. I knew something about her early like but you really showed how determined Lucy was to do better for her family. There will never be another Lucy and I am glad her tv shows and movies will be available to anyone not around when she was here. Thank you Jordan- another fantastic trip!! ☺️😊❤️😍🥰☀️🦩
I've always loved Lucy, she's such a funny lady. not photogenic well some of the photos I've seen looks beautiful to me. makes me wonder what her kids are doing don't hear much of them. Lucy was always up to something so funny. RIP Lucy 🌹🌹....thanks Jordan have a great safe day
Thank you, Jordan! I live in Buffalo and it’s great to see you were in my ‘backyard’ with these great videos on beloved Lucille Ball!! The Lucy statue caused quite a stir if I recall correctly, as when it first came out it didn’t look like her and they had it redone.
This was so cool Jordan! I’m a Lucy fanatic, I have my I love Lucy backpack purse, my vitameatavegimin wallet, make up bag, keychain, and license plate. I cannot wait til you do the museum! Thx again! Love to Jah!
The reason there are two statues is because the one with the vitamin bottle was the first statue. People were upset because it did not look like Lucy. Not trying to be mean but it is unattractive. Now there is the new one which is SO much better. Great video. I have visited there and if anyone is a fan of Lucy it is the place to go. ❤
I only live about one and half hours north of Jamestown. I am from Buffalo and we love Lucy. The reason they have two is because the second one you showed caused an uproar at how it didn't look at all like Lucy and was sadly what they called "awful".
Back when they were closing up her Beverly Hills home... there were lots of discarded items behind it in the alley... So, I got some things... A couple of tin waste baskets... a US flag on a stick... and a couple other things...!
Hi Jordan, what an icon. I can't believe they said she was not photogenic, those photos you have shown of Lucy were beautiful, I've seen worse looking A list celebrities. Lucy made you laugh whatever show she was on, one of the all-time greats. Great vlog Jordan.
The first statue of Lucy in the park was really good. The second statue of her did not look a thing like her. Anyway, this was very interesting. Thank you.
When my Mother was young she worked for Table Talk pies, she always said the flick when Lucy and Vivian worked in the chocolate factory reminded her of her job at Table Talk, my Mother was always so funny, kinda like Lucy, yes " I Love Lucy" on of the greatest talents ever
Jamestown is so pretty! They finally changed the ugly statue to this ONE this is so HER!!! Loved the Museum, we were so fortunate to go when our son lived in Cleveland, we took a road trip from there for the weekend, and even went to the Zippo Factory/Museum. We don't smoke, but that place was so interesting too! Loved the Museum even had displays about Desi y-learned so much about him & his family, too! Great vlog Jordan, always loved her! Love her comedy & all her movies. Every Summer Town along with the Lucy Museum sponsers a Comedy Weekend with top Comedic acts, I haven't gotten to go yet, I am hoping next Summer to go. Ty for sharing. Loved this vlog, so special! ;) That's so great you get to hear all the stories about her and Todd Fisher & his mother, that's beyond awesome! ;)
She was a pioneer and I have always loved Lucy - Yup - I said it 😂Shocking to me that he performing arts school said she had no talent, 😂 They clearly knew nothing 😂
I knew sooner or later you would do the Jamestown NY video on Lucille Ball. Thanks Jordan❣️🙏🏻 You always come through on your videos with such care and grace when it comes to talking about Hollywood legends like Lucy. Interesting how her middle name was Desiree and she ends up marrying Desi Arnaz. Almost like they were destined to meet and be one of the most famous married couple of all time on the screen 📺 and off. Love to you & the Jahster. ❤️🐕🦺💕⭐️
Funny when we found out LB actually lived in the small area of Celeron. We loved hanging out in Lakewood/Jamestown and Chautauqua. Nice people in that area. People hated the Vita statue.
Thank you for your excellent presentation of Lucille ball and Desi Arnez. I grew up watching the show and your video means alot. keep up your great work as always Jordan !
Prime has a documentary and a movie on them. Desi said, "the only thing red about Lucy is her hair and even that is not real." He also got J Edgar Hoover on the phone to tell the crowd the FBI found nothing on Lucy, because of the tabloids.
Thanks for the great video! as huge as Lucy was I would have expected a big Grave stone for her especially in LA. thanks, all your video's are very entertaining!
I remember watching a Three Stooges episode from, I believe, 1934 that featured a very young Lucille Ball. She was funny and very beautiful. I don't remember the title of the episode, though.
Ha ha they replaced the horrid second statue i read with the 1st nice statue you showed,i can see why.not lookin up dress i was rollin! Surprised they keep the vitamin statue up if i was a kid scare hell out of me lol!
Went to Jamestown last year for a vacation and loved it. It was the last vacation I had with my mom before she passed away in October last year... The memories will always be with me ❤️❤️❤️

Very well told about the first lady of comedy. Thanks Jordan!
Great video I will be visiting her very soon
Thank you for this I'm a Lucy fan since I was a kid. I now watch with my kids & she brings us joy. My daughter's name is Desiree 😊🥰
From what I remember the "Vita-vegamin" statue was the first sculpture made. It was not met with much love. Nicknamed "Scary Lucy" locally.
Thank you, loved you telling Lucy's story. Sad that love just wasn't enough to keep Desi home.
I used to watch I Love Lucy and The Lucy Show after school while doing homework. Always loved both shows and Lucy was always the highlight. Beautiful, lovely Lucy.
Thank you for this video! I love it!!’ You are the best!!!
I have wanted to go to Jamestown for years now.
You won't be sorry!
Yours , Mine and Ours , is my favourite movie of hers ! I found the two homes in the movie , even have pictures of them.
Lucy was the best ever! Thanks Jordan and love to Jah!🐾🐾🐾
I agree with you. I like the first statue best.

Great video as usual
So glad you made it to my hometown and of course, Lucy's... Lucy surely has brought Jamestown into the limelight... We love Lucy..😍
Love the tie between Lucy, producing Star Trek and Mary Shelley, both pioneers of science fiction ⚡

Jordan ... 10,000 Maniacs - great band. You need to vlog House on the Rock in Wisconsin where 10,000 Maniacs filmed a music video. Crazy place!
I saw them perform at a bar in bemis point ( I can see it can't remember the name)t
