Fucking hated it. "Priority is a singular word." yeah no shit that how words work. Goat is a singular word, that doesn't mean I don't have multiple goats. Figure it out.
@@lildeek12GFL i think you didn't understand the concept.. it is more about being able to tell what's important and what isn't (and most things aren't). for me i have 3 major areas in my life that all have a priority so i like to have 3 priorities pertaining to each, which are still a "priority" if i separate the areas. it's just like people using the term "goals" and putting in too many goals and then finishing few to none by the end. having multiple goals/priorities is fine but too many of them are most definitely counter productive
So glad I found this. Too many bullet journals online are so over decorated, even ones that claim to be minimalist. I found this super refreshing. Thanks for sharing your simple journal.
The youtubers you checked for "Minimalist" bullet journals are all actually _women_ that's why, they love those overly decorative stuff but it's really intimidating for beginners.
@@mohamedab9033 I dont think you had to empasis on Them being "women" , and no one is telling you to do it how they do, You are just supposed to get an idea from them, and implement it in your own way, Decoration just makes it personal for some, Btw Elsa Rhae, Pick Up limes etc are "women" that uses a Minimalist bullet journal
I didn't appreciate physical journaling until the day my phone stopped working after an update and I had to wait for a replacement through mail. It was at that point I learned the value of having a physical journal.
I find this approach refreshing. As an artist I was drawn to bullet journaling with tons of colors and drawings, cute stickers, etc... the downside of that was I would spend way more time doodling and drawing and basically get nothing done. This feels much more precise and under control, I like the lack of clutter and I too am not a fan of standard calendar planners. Thank you for sharing, this is awesome!
I really appreciate the way you use the brain dump spread. So many other bullet journal or productivity folks make it seem like a task in itself rather than a means to manage distraction.
This was recommended to me by RUclips. The best recommendation EVER. Your confidence and happiness just made me plan my whole month and I really needed this. I tried bullet journaling once but quit after 2 months cause I felt overwhelmed by the amount of tasks I have to complete and the poor organization. I'm clearly gonna update this , I need to focus at max for the next 18 months. Once again, thank you for sharing this and great job on improving yourself!
One of the simplest setup tutorials out here, seriously I like that. I'm not very aryistic with drawing and cute letters so many videos feel overwhelming and complicated
I personnally even find these annoying, because I feel like the decorations take over the space, that's what you notice mainly. What's more, I don't find them that personal since they kind of all look alike to me. I'm a painter but wouldn't do the pretty type bullet journal.
I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for these guidelines to create this productivity system. You don't realize how much you help us this way. Thank you!
I think there are few videos about bullet journaling that are very oriented on productivity instead of an art project and this one is one of them. I really appreciate the man's like approach that you took like the famous "one's man bullet journal" video. Thanks for this great quality video!
This was a breath of fresh air. So simple, so clean. I LOVE the idea of turning the book over and writing from the back. I haven't found a way to write down the things I notice during the day and what I think about them. For example, I saw a little blue flower trying to stick up through the snow. I thought about persistence and how we have to make our way through the challenges of this pandemic time and bloom where we are planted.
Luv luv LUV that Brain Dump section! Flipping the notebook over is absolutely GENIUS!! Such as a simple way to solve my problem! I should have thought about it myself... Thanks for posting and sharing.
This is the best video on bullet journaling. Much better than the founder's IMO because this guy includes the why, not just the how. I love the idea of tracking habits on the opposite page and using only the first letter. There may be some habits i want to be confidential such as abstaining from weed. What if someone found my journal at work and turned it in? Someone could read through it. I also like having ONE priority for each day. That seems very doable. I have ADD so I get overwhelmed very quickly. By writing it down, I thinkk the info will stick better than by using an app, like I have been.
I enjoyed this. minimalist bullet journal is right for me. I tried an app on the phone, post it notes on my laptop but I am consistent and enjoy TO-DO lists but need bullet journalling for scheduling, planning, tracking etc in one place. Also I love your plan for the whole month where you list the days verticlly... I was thinking of going with a table but this is simple and elegant. Thank you.
I really liked this. It is clear, simple, and sets you up to be very productive. I know I will be listening to this again, as you talk a little fast, but that’s ok. It’s just gotten late for me, and my brain is a little slower at the end of the day. But thank you for sharing, and I look forward to going through this again, and putting into application some of your ideas. Ciao for now, and thank you.
Simply and easy that is correct. I have some years doing BuJo, never did complications but see my older BJ, I noticed complications. Today, I comeback at Carol and what this guy said. Thanks
Yes I think the 30K ft view is very important and sometimes overlooked. Sometimes when we "check the boxes" for the day, we lose sight of the quality and direction our tasks are taking us. Great job Sheldon and great cinematography!
I have thought about journaling a lot and even tried it a couple times but I never seemed to be able to pull through with it definitely inspired me to try again
I've been intrigued by the bullet journal method. But all these "Set up your journal spreads with me" videos are terrible. They don't help. They seem to think that the point of the journal is the journal - not the productivity. Basically, their journals are adult coloring books for people who want to pretend to be productive when they're really just playing at being a grown-up. But you! I love your method. This made so much sense to me. I am right there with you on the "scrunched up" calendars giving me PTSD. I tried your methods for a month or so. And it worked. It simply worked! Or, it worked simply! Which is the same thing but not. LOL. I wish I had found your video years ago. Anyway, I just wanted to come back and say thanks! I appreciate this and you!
This makes a tremendous amount of sense. I no longer need to keep searching for ideas on my quest to start my first bullet journal. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your method.
There are many things which doesnt loose importance despite the advancement in technology, and journaling is one of them.excellent reminder from you and every one needs to inculcate it.this video should be watched by one and all.thanks for excellent video
Finally. Ive always had this opinion that journals are supposed to make us improve, and grow and time saving rather than aesthetic pages whete we cant be rough, and rush and sometimes. Online journal inspirations are too formal for me
I've done a lot of bullet journaling over the past few years, but since I've been engaging in the community that focuses heavily on the aesthetics of journaling, I do feel like I've neglected functionality more than I'd like. I still love and appreciate artistic bullet journaling, but I'm really glad I came across your video because it was such a refreshingly different approach! I'm definitely going to try some of these tips, and I'm excited to see how it'll change my journaling experience!
I'd love for you to make an updated verison of this. I adopted a lot of this for my system and curious if you have adapted yours over the 4 years, stayed the same or even still doing it?
journal video instructions was so great and i really really learn a lot from it. Its so lovely. This is what everyone will like to learn and make a great impact from it
I used to use a physical journal but as my projects grew, it became really hard to find historical tasks without a search function. So I use the things app now. Journalling as a whole though really helps free up space in my mind and focus on what's really important.
finally, a realistic bullet journal setup. I don't recommend following a girl's approach on bullet journaling if you're new, half the time is wasted on decoration, which beats the purpose!
excellent your friend diary this helps anyone with productivity, these are the videos that need to be shared so that many people see your contribution, greetings.😎✔️
I really like your video. Everything seems so practical and simple. I always get killed by all the check list and trackers in my Bujo whch leads me to leave it. You are proving that sometimes less is better and I thank you for this great advice. Thank you
