Excellent explanation of this game. The game seemed confusing when I watched the other tutorials, but this video is great. Thanks for sharing! Great job...
I just discovered your channel and I really like your explanations! Simple to follow and no bullcrap like "box drops" and unboxing garbage. Love your work, please keep it up!
Thank you! That was a very clear and easy explanation! I super appreciate it and so will my daughter :) we are going to play this evening and I found the instructions confusing as I often do. I look forward to watching more of your how to's
I like the clear audio, good footage quality, visual support and the speed. Here are two buts, though: 1) At the beginning of the video, I miss a few sentences about what the game is about and what the object is! 2) Sometimes I would actually love you to zoom out a bit. Anyway, thank you for the video. :)
In theory: you draw a Water's Rise card as the last card from the Treasure deck. Do you discard it and then shuffle the face-up treasure deck or vice versa?
7:42 I don’t understand why you would place the flood cards that have been pulled and put them on top of the deck. Wouldn’t you just keep pulling the same cards then?
No, actually that is so that there is a possibility that a card is removed from the game, since the same card needs to be drawn twice to be removed the game. Then, these cards would also be ignored/removed, and the same would happen with the cards below.
Can you give a teammate one of your treasure cards, as an action of course, if they already have 5 in their hand? Example: it's my turn and I was to give my teammate the fire card but she already has five in here can...can she accept it and discard one of the five she already had or can she not accept it because her card limit is full? I can not seem to find this answer. Thanks!
Can you trade with someone who already has the max number of cards? Are you allowed to discard cards you think you don’t need, or do you have to exceed 5 cards then make the choice?
If you win a treasure, you (a) collect the treasure (b) don't care if the island sinks (c) drop the cards in the discard pile. My confusion is this : Putting the treasure cards of the treasure collected in the discard pile will mean that eventually when the treasure card deck runs out, the discard pile will be shuffled and the discarded cards will be again picked. What if a player picks these cards and has no use. Does he discard and pick up another? In this case, does it not make sense to remove these cards from the game ?
Each step is articulated, but the purpose of each step is not clear. Watching this as someone trying to learn and play with children for the first time… and I’m still completely lost.
Same for me. The game is supposed to be simple and good for families but it seems pretty complicated. I made it to about the 8:00 minute mark, then gave up. Maybe it’s better to try to play and figure the rules out at the same time?
I just bought this game today. Looking up videos to explain the rules, I come across this one... the best one on RUclips!
No idea why antyone would down vote this. It's the best explanation of the rules I've seen on RUclips. O_o
The audio :(
Yeah
yep, the others were unfortunately not explained with clarity, but this explanation was so easy to understand
Yeah, the audio is janky.

this is the third video i watched to try to understand the rules and it's easily the best. Thanks!
Very clear and helpful. Good pacing too. I appreciate the time and effort to help explain this.

Am I correct to assume the diver cannot swim diagonally?
Diver cannot swim diagonally.

I wouldn't remove them as they would mean the waters rising would come up sooner
So similar to pandemic.
