When that reporter reported that "33"%😉👌story, that should have sent red flags e everywhere! Common sense tells you it's not going to drop by such a margin after going up steadily 12% or higher every year! If anything sales would "slow" "taper off" NOT decline! We have to use our heads for thinking people!😊
We reside in Norman, OK and every time we head to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, we always visit Josey’s big store. It’s our favorite record shop and we always leave with great vinyl! It’s just an amazing store. We’re usually in there for at least 3-4 hours. Thanks for sharing your experience with us!🎧🙏🏻
I have spent many many hours at Josey while visiting family. I'm looking forward to seeing the new store. The store is so big it can be overwheling and I think a smaller location makes sense for a quick stop. Have a safe and sound vacation!
Thanks for sharing that some collectors buy records for different reasons, not just for our personal collection. I can’t say much about the overall market conditions. I’ll just say that market conditions of any type are cyclical. I’m guilty of only caring about my own record collecting market. When I don’t have money to buy records the (or my) market is down. When the cheddar is a flowing the market is up and awesome. 😎 Thanks for the great tour of Josey! ✌🏽
this is great news! Finally Garland has a decent size record store. This is 9 miles from my house. The mega Josey store (awesome store) off LBJ was always a pain to get to. I’ve never been to the Plano store. I’ll have to head over there November 9th, unless they are softly open this week.
Just Came Across Your Channel, I live in Fort Worth. I’ve been to Josey Records in Dallas about two years ago, didn’t like the drive lol , I’ll would like to visit both locations. I frequent docs records in Fort Worth all the time and thinking about checking some other places for vinyl not too thrilled with forever Young record store Arlington very overpriced, was happy to look at your video. I will be subscribing. Have a safe trip overseas.
@@KINGCOLE1965 thanks for your comments! I need to check out more in Fort Worth area. Agree on Forever Young, massive and nice to visit, their “special room” is VERY pricey. Check out their Discogs store to get the impact without the drive :)
I think,as some other viewers that the thrill is gone for the younger people. Used CDs are very cheap when you don’t have money. A lot of the used vinyl coming into the stores are newer artists. It’s just us old guys that have vinyl in our blood.
Thanks for highlighting Josey. Visited them on the occasion of the Dallas Audio Fest. Keep those records spinning!❤

Thanks for taking us along for the ride. That home store was monstrous! Amazing how many records they put into the smaller store. Safe journey sir!

@ thanks 😊
Safe travels and a safe return
Michael Fremer,Steve Westman both reported that the 33% was not correct. The people who put this out, has nothing to do with the vinyl community
@@egotrpn420 they actually came out and realized their calculation was faulty. That said, sales were less year over year

Last year I went to D&J Records in Dallas and that store was huge too
@@madteam3parents773 I don’t know that one, have to look it up
The H-D-H Invictus 45's would often have the 'mixed for radio....' message on them.
Why does anyone ever say” not for sale?” These are always for sale. Not much of a deterrent.
Nice shop. Do they have a headphone rig so you could listen to records? I really like shops that let ya preview records you’re interested in.
@@Grooverski they will once they open officially….
@ That’s always a welcomed perks of local shopping experiance. You can actually spin records before pulling a trigger.
Love josey! Glad to have a closer location but I have to pass Good records to get there lol. Good problem to have!
:: ill bet that russ taff sounds spectacular
What is that digital display over your right shoulder
looks like a decibel meter based on how it lowers number when he is not talking?
@@robertmitchell6015 a db meter
Thanks for asking that. I was wondering the same thing.
I like your “new arrivals “ joke. He didn’t get it. Safe travels.
