  • The Original Tabbouleh Salad, Lebanese All time Favorite . All yours to ENJOY!!
    3 bunch italian parsley fine chopped
    3 green onion fine chopped
    12 fresh mint leaves chopped
    1 cup small diced white onion
    3 cup small diced tomatoes
    1/4 cup brown burgol #1 soaked in 1/4 cup warm water
    1 tbsp dried mint
    1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
    1/4 cup pomegranate juice
    1/3 cup olive oil
    salt and pepper to taste

    This is really The Most Traditional Lebanese Tabbouleh Recipe! Without any ' additives and extras', in other words, Tabbouleh as it has to be! Thanks a lot!

    In 1992 living in Syria and a friend invited me to eat whit him and then I had this salad. Man till today I still taste it in my mouth.

    You have excellent chopping skills! I'm sure there's a culinary term for that... I'm wondering what additions can be put into the recipe on occasion. I once had tabbouleh with fennel and mint and it was quite delicious. Anything else to experiment with?

    You guys sure like parsley. Main ingredient in your shawarma and sovlaki toppings too. the family all said 'use less parsley'. Using so much tastes a little weird to us.

    While I respect and like this classic tabouleh, I am inclined to alter mine periodically. I love adding pomegranate seeds and capers, for example. The sweet/tart balance is perfect for me! Sometimes I will serve "the basic" alongside bowls of add-ons as well. And hibiscus tea is a great accompaniment.

    Have tried your recipe a few times & it turns out always good. Just one query though, what kind of pomegranate juice do u use in your tabouleh? Is it fresh juice, is it like the one in long life boxes? I would really like to know so next time I can use it. Thank you for all your videos. I have tried Baba ganouj recipe too. 👏

    Looks fabulous-‼️ I need to hit the Sprouts produce department first. ??? I keep dry bulgur wheat and have some precooked in the refrigerator in order to make a tabbouli salad. Is yours precooked and if so please provide information? Thank you immensely ‼️

      Letscookolet - I’ve got the wheat handled, thanks. Unfortunately I arrived at the produce market last night and inventory on greens were limited. I saw the curly parsley and then nearby, the flat leaf-just as a reached over to grab 2 bunches- those annoying sprinklers went off. Quickly bagged them-> when reviewing my payment receipt back at home, I realized that I grabbed cilantro in error. Start over😊

    Are you using pure pomegranate juice from a bottle or make it yourself from a pomegranate? I've never seen a bottle of pomegranate juice in a store.

      I do often. I actually do a lemon/lime/garlic marinade with sumac in my fridge for this and other dishes. Yum.

      Tradition, since many consider it too strong a taste. Personally, I use it since I love strong tastes. It's all a matter of balance.

      pomegranate juice available in any major grocery stores if you go to Mediterranean grocery store you can find pomegranate molasses that even better 👍🙂
