Have you ever considered setting up a misting system for the mangrove? Like a MistKing. Would look badass like rain on the lagoon and you wouldn’t have to mist the mangrove and it could sever as a supplementary system to the ATO.
Hey, I am a new reefer light information is what I needed. Unfortunately I can not afford an expensive light, but I like the light I bought a new Nicrew Marine LED only $50 Corals seem very happy Thank You 🙏. Peace Out. ✌️
Dear Santa.. Please stop by WWC and pick out some nice corals for the saltwater tank I want.. Haha.. Keep up the GREAT work gentlemen!! I love seeing the AMAZING tanks and corals at your facility. Much respect and support from Yuma, AZ. 🤙🤙
I run my kalkwasser off a Peristaltic pump but I use it to move rodi water into the avast marine stiring reactor and then out into the sump via gravity. Less wear and tear and just as accurate. Not sure how yours is setup though.
So that tank is glass, thought it may be acrylic. Any information about the tank itself? How it was built? I'm guessing it was built on site, but does it have a glass bottom? pvc bottom? I know I should be ga-ga over the corals but I really am interested in the construction aspects of tanks much more than what's inside them.
During a Mike Paletta talk recently someone mentioned that when WWC does maintenance on the tanks you use a battery powered pump to clean the rocks from detritus. Can you share what you use for that? Thanks.
hello wich intensity you recommend for an sps and alsona mixt tank at home and what height? I struggle with mine to find the right setting and i found to run they lower intensity during day time the tank looks to dark and if I go high do that it is pleasant to the eye I fry my corals...
Hey Josh seems like I read somewhere that you guys used the Blues instead of the Pro’s on this tank. Can you verify/clarify why if that’s the case? I went with XR15 Blues on my 40 Breeder. I won a XR30 Pro on Reefstock@Home and going to purchase another to run on my 75. Was hoping to grab your setting for both variations of the Radion.
We do prefer the blues however on all of our display tanks we use the pros, it was just a decision we made to have both fixtures operational to be able to give pros and cons for our customers to choose. After working with the guys at ecotech, they recommend if running a schedule like ours the blue is the better option.
@@jdearel1 I’m running XR15 blues on a 40 Breeder and can’t really dial them in to anything that looks quite like you guys have. Was hoping to be able to pick up your settings.
Walking around in the tank bare foot i thought wow brave man.. but then i thought there is no way there is bristle worms and other stingy creatures in their show tank.. atleast i would think now but maybe he is just that brave 😅👌
Mangroves need lots of nutrients and light and they do need water levels to rise then fall back to normal or it can stress the tree having constant water level.
Not necessarily. Like most animals / plants they can adapt to most environments over a long period of time. Our Mangrove in the lagoon has been going strong for close to three years now and only has to experience lower water levels when we do water changes and that occurs once a week, not 2x daily as what occurs in nature. As long as they have a good amount of daylight (supplemental light source works amazingly well) and are spritzed pretty much daily with RO water.
We have tried actually, it's shallow so they pound the coral pretty hard. They need to be turned all the way up in order to make any slight results. The tank is 11 feet across in 2 different directions and flow can only be delivered from 2 sides. Plus the cords are ugly.

We don't use any battery powered pump. We do use turkey basters

World class tank guys. Great job!!

Amazing, how much do you keep nitrate and phosphate in the tank?
Parameters:
Cal. 450
Alk. 8.9
Mag. 1450
Nitrate 5-10
Phos. .01-.03
Should add cameras and a big screen TV to see all from different angles and maybe stream online?
We had a few streams of this tank. We are still trying to figure out how to film inside the tank

WWC - let me take off my shoes and roll up my pants real fast.
Hi, what thickness of glass is that? 3/4"?
That’s correct! Beautiful tank!
Excuse me, what liquid is it applied to the mangrove plant ??! regards
I think it’s just fresh water to clean off the salt from the leaf

Yes, Josh is a brave man!! 🤣😅
How big do those mangroves potentially in an aquarium setting??
They are slow growers, but they will continue to grow. You will have to trim when they get too tall
Mangroves need lots of nutrients and light and they do need water levels to rise then fall back to normal or it can stress the tree having constant water level.

19" of water
I wanna swim in there!
No lifeguard on deck 🤣
Do you guys use gen 5 pro or blues?
5 Gen Pros
@@WorldWideCorals is there a reason why you guys run your whites so low?
@@NickM92 Believe it or not, but we have found that corals color up and do better under blues. Years of running them this way has proven this method.
@@WorldWideCorals Why not use the Gen 5 blues then? I'm trying to figure out which ones to buy so that's why I'm asking.

What’s the name of the Duncan’s in the lagoon

You could put so much less bacteria into those tanks by getting a pair of waders like what you wear when you fly fish.
