People tend to forget that Faker has been in League over a decade ago. Its fair to question the Goat if he still has it in him, but lets not also forget T1 and Faker sets the meta. It wasnt really that easy for them to take last year’s worlds but also because this roster is barely put together. I dont even care about narrow minded peoples opinion. Faker is the face of lol already. If league is still being played a decade later, faker’s name will always be talked about. He is the Kobe of League.
I dont play league dont know much about it but even i know FAKER. Bro doesnt need to prove himself anymore his name is almost synonymous to league itself. He is the GOAT of league no question about it.
As a T1 fan, I'm going to guess that they won't win this year. I'm not sure what's off in the team, but everyone looked pretty bad this year, Faker included. The rumormill inside Korea is saying that there's a combination of burnout and people letting their skills and coordinating fall off after then won Worlds. They weren't even expecting the team to be kept together, but then they won Worlds and contracted them back in for another shot at it, but I think there's a feeling that some people either want out or don't really want to fight as hard for another title. Of course we know that Faker wants it, but he even at his young age, is starting to age out because of his wrist injury. That's not gonna get healed with the sort of practice required to stay at the top for long periods. Maybe Faker pulls it out of himself and inspires the rest of the boys to finish strong and then retires, but I'm not seeing it based on their current form. I think that win or lose, this is likely Faker's last year, and Oner is probably going to get traded/sold off. The other 3 might stick around, but once Faker leaves it's going to be a monumental hole in the team to fill.
even if he doesn't win, he is the greatest of all time, he has nothing to prove anymore. he did it all. and i don't think we will ever have another like him.
Just a correction right here, about the videoclip that's have faker this year, every video from worlds is from last worlds (2023), so doesn't matter if faker got to this worlds 2024, the clip would be the same, because it's someway to represent the last year winner, every worlds video it's like that. That's why appears people thats is not in this worlds 2024
Heavy is the crown is the story of T1's win during 2023. Regardless of who wins, Faker has won worlds 4 times and the most decorated player. TBH, he doesn't even need to prove anything lol he's been at the top for a long time.
I have watched T1 for as long as I have. I will always be their stalwart supporter till the organization dissolves. "Form is temporary. Faker is Forever." *dies of cringe while writing this* 😅😅
Faker said so himself in the LCK World's Media Day that he can't say confidently they're in a position to win Worlds, but since they won last year anything is possible. Of course, after watching them barely making it to Worlds, it doesn't look like they're in a good shape, and if they end up getting paired against HLE, GenG, BLG, the odds are heavily against them. There are still concerns about Faker's injury having an adverse effect on his performance, his lane phases have been constantly taking a hit. The Worlds Meta will be a new change for them but it still needs to be seen how they keep up with the other dominating teams. I just hope they're able to go all out and do their best, that's all that matters. T1 has already proved themselves by winning Worlds 2023.
The long answer is yes. The short answer is no. No= he played absolutely horrid this season(except spring and that blood money tournament). Yes= intangibles, clutch factor, history, and on and on and on
Its safe to say He cant. more than a decade of career, ddos attack, wrist injury getting worst if he wont stop. He just prove himself time again why He is the GOAT. Win or not, he got nothing to prove anymore. Uzi got that injury too and he put a stop on his career
Don't count out Rekkles. While the probability of him getting subbed in is infinitesimally small, he knows bot lane mechanics (albeit as the ADC). He is a factor as well.
No other non korean team has made finals 2 times besides Fnatic. Faker has made finals 6 times with 4 completely different teams. Ita absurd to think skt wont be top 4 at least.
Tbh im a t1 and faker fan but winning another worlds is just extra he already cemented his legacy as the goat of league just this haters always cant accept that
I think Fakers legacy needed another worlds after his 2013-2017 run of Dominance to elevate him to untouchable status. Since he's made the Final of the last 2 worlds and won last year, anything more is just trophy collecting. Hard to imagine how you'd even script a realistic story about Fakers career, especially in gaming where a player is lucky to even play at a high level professionally for 6 years. 6 Major wins (10 finals appearences) won the EWC, iem, All-stars and 10 League titles. T1 dismantling every team from the LPL last year, on their own. AT HOME IN KOREA! Ending the Golden Road of the best team at the Tournament. His career and resume has set the peak so high that any future prodigy coming through to establish themselves as the best will almost inevitably fall far short.
Massive respect for not showing faker's clip of him banging his head. He may be at his lowest bt that still shows how dedicated he is and what he expects from himself.
after 4 world championships and staying at the top tier of pro league for nearly 10 years.. you genuinely have to be delusional to call Faker washed. The man literally has nothing left to prove.
He already proved more than enough when he won the last year worlds. Even if he doesnt win any from now on even then!! No one doesnt even come close to faker.
ive been following skt since 2013 didnt miss i think a single bo5 in the last 11-12 years from them and tbh i wouldnt really care if they get destroyed... last year was really what i think most fan wanted
I don't think T1 have ever looked this shaky before, but I still picked them as the team to win it all. The meta shift, the history, I just wouldn't gamble against them.
Faker already accomplished more than any of the current or past league players. With this meta heavily rely on ap mid and ad jungle I really do think T1 have a high chance of winning worlds, especially being the “underdog” ..
An AP mid and AD jungle meta do favour T1 since Faker is more of an AP midlaner with azir, syndra, ori, Lb, ahri, and maybe Ryze and oner is more of a AD bruiser jungler with viego, xin zhao, jarvan, lee sin, vi, and poppy.
Even if they get knocked out in the Swiss Stage, Faker will have 6 finals in 9 Worlds Appearance. So, it doesn't really matter when it comes to his legacy. It's simply a case of whether the T1 Intl Buff is real or not.
I wouldn’t say Faker is terrible, but we need to look at the meta and which teams are in favor within worlds. I don’t hate SKT and we all know the only team to ever beat SKT twice was Samsung, so unless there is ever going to be a team better than Samsung than I would SKT have a 60-70% chance at winnings worlds. As for the meta, the Adc meta was terrible for him and he had rely on Ahri and Azir for most of his games. Who do I think can go toe to toe with SKT right now? Gen.G and four other teams.
T1 fan here but with this version of ZOFGK, I think its really unlikely and a blessing that they make top 4. Also I think GenG, BLG or HLE deserves it this year, they have players that are due a Worlds win, it would be a crying shame if a player of Chovy's or Knight's calibre to never win Worlds

Sally as reference in the score eSports is absolute Pog
“Heavily featured faker”???? WHERE IN THAT VIDEO HEAVILY FEATURE FAKER? I think you got linkin park and faker mixed up😅
Linkin Park has 34 more seconds of screentime than Faker
Faker is chasing MJ 6
No way they just jinxed it before the event starts
The fact T1 make it to worlds is already a surprise, i say they did enough they already proved everything they had to prove
even if he doesn't win, he is the greatest of all time, he has nothing to prove anymore. he did it all.
and i don't think we will ever have another like him.
As the World's song say, "Heavy is the Crown". I think they cannot now but I'm rooting for them and still wanna see him do it.
imagine he wins his fifth on a back-to-back. damn, bro really the goat of esports
To make it short, win or lose, Faker no longer need to prove anything. Winning his 5th Worlds trophy will be a bonus.
I want to see again Faker winning worlds with Kkoma. also Rekless winning his first worlds on his home town.
Heavy is the crown is the story of T1's win during 2023. Regardless of who wins, Faker has won worlds 4 times and the most decorated player. TBH, he doesn't even need to prove anything lol he's been at the top for a long time.
T1 always never miss play off. If they they win it again. Im not surprised. Anything can happen at world.
I have watched T1 for as long as I have. I will always be their stalwart supporter till the organization dissolves.
"Form is temporary. Faker is Forever."
*dies of cringe while writing this* 😅😅
I'm praying for the Rise of the GIGABIN
Yeah dude I used to hate Bin but he really is a top tier player. He deserves to win worlds.
I'm with T1, but i remember his flora and gangplank back in SN he's really consistent now, and you can always have him as favorite to win.
I know nobody is gonna se you his, but I’m hammered
The long answer is yes. The short answer is no. No= he played absolutely horrid this season(except spring and that blood money tournament). Yes= intangibles, clutch factor, history, and on and on and on
Faker is still suffering hand injury 😢 ma goat fighting in pain 💔✊🥺
In the past this has happened with faker where they barely made it. But they always will show up as one of the strongest teams regardless.
Im going back to this video after they won worlds!
T1 in worlds is really dominating they qualified in finals in 2 years
We don't think he can do it, but we all want him to do it
Its safe to say He cant. more than a decade of career, ddos attack, wrist injury getting worst if he wont stop.
Probably not this year
but it's gonna be a HEADBANG of a series for sure 😉
Better question is if T1 can get to top 8 this year.
"also, the riot marketing team..." XD
No other non korean team has made finals 2 times besides Fnatic.
Faker has made finals 6 times with 4 completely different teams. Ita absurd to think skt wont be top 4 at least.
Tbh im a t1 and faker fan but winning another worlds is just extra he already cemented his legacy as the goat of league just this haters always cant accept that
the ddos attacks is why online esports will always struggle and will continue because of gambling rings trying to rig games to win bets
He doesn't have anything to prove anymore i feel like win or lose nobody would doubt him ever again after winning!
If everything goes south, they have Rekkles as a substitute player
its like asking "can birds fly?"
Massive respect for not showing faker's clip of him banging his head.
He may be at his lowest bt that still shows how dedicated he is and what he expects from himself.
He wonnnn!
after 4 world championships and staying at the top tier of pro league for nearly 10 years.. you genuinely have to be delusional to call Faker washed.
Absolutely. He is the king for a reason.
I don't think T1 have ever looked this shaky before, but I still picked them as the team to win it all. The meta shift, the history, I just wouldn't gamble against them.
GOOd pick they might win
@@allgames5556 Btw I got perfect pickems for playoffs. All four teams correct. :)
@@PunCala woah that’s crazy etf
Faker already accomplished more than any of the current or past league players. With this meta heavily rely on ap mid and ad jungle I really do think T1 have a high chance of winning worlds, especially being the “underdog” ..
Just how many times does this man have to win worlds until people would just accept that it's pretty reasonable to not win it all the time.
An AP mid and AD jungle meta do favour T1 since Faker is more of an AP midlaner with azir, syndra, ori, Lb, ahri, and maybe Ryze and oner is more of a AD bruiser jungler with viego, xin zhao, jarvan, lee sin, vi, and poppy.
tough to say.... Linkin Park is hard to beat
Trust in Faker, Tom don’t troll draft please !!
I like how TI didn’t get any video
He already did what all T1 fans wanted actually so its fine if they lose this year.
BTW "Heavily feature T1" you mean 2023 World Champion Linkin Bark?
Even if they get knocked out in the Swiss Stage, Faker will have 6 finals in 9 Worlds Appearance. So, it doesn't really matter when it comes to his legacy. It's simply a case of whether the T1 Intl Buff is real or not.
The fifth title is gonna be for Rekkles. T1 Fighting!
Not only can he win worlds. He will win worlds this year.
It wouldn't have mattered if they didn't make worlds because T1 was featured in the video as last years champs
No they are featured in the video has defending champions, they cant defend worlds if they're not in the tournament lol
@@wednesdeity wrong, you obviously don't understand what world champ means
@@Re3p4rr World champ is a team that wins leagues world championship, the tournament going on right now. The music video features T1 putting down the crown to defend it while other teams try and take it from them, hence them being defending world champs in the video. They wouldn't be able to defend it if they didn't make it to worlds, I guess you might have learning difficulties if that's difficult for you to understand
@@wednesdeity holy shit lil bro wrote an entire essay just to say the same wrong sht again 💀
@@Re3p4rr you're liking your own comments and youre wrong
I don't even care about whether or not here wins worlds I just want his hand to get better.
Win or not.. I really dont think Faker has any need to prove anything other than wanting to continue his passion for League... His head banging is proof that the pressure and the weight of being the Idol/Example/Poster boy for a game + the expectations that if it's T1 it should be a win has finally hit him and it's pouring out... If he wants to continue.. you go king.. If you wanna stop.. Honestly i dont blame you and would actually recommend to retire so that you can breathe a sigh of relief..... GLHF king...
As a T1 fan, this is actually the year I don't care if Faker can win or not, I just want him to take a break for his wrist and his mental.
He has won it 4 times already i dont think he wins it this year but he is always the goat
Only 5% that t1 win worlds if all of their players give 100% of their best performance
Other lck and lpl are looking very strong for worlds and it’s not gonna be easy
The only thing faker needs it’s the golden road and a penta kill in world
Didn't know Zeke Yeager was on theScore Esports
Well we see now
