My biggest downfalls in trading are my emotions and greed. Those two combinations cause me to trade when I shouldn't and stay in a trade when I should get out. which is weird cause I'm usually not a greedy person
This David Paul guy is amazing. Wonderful person with vast knowledge of the markets. This interview should be referenced time and time again, for new and veteran traders.
When you have a big position on a winning trade, it often ends up as a losing trade. Because you will end up exiting on a loss when you get hit by volatility. Something a learned in the past.
I agree, I made 20k on a real good trade, I managed to then loose over 9k over 4 weeks. I took a step back, I have been persistent and despite a loosing streak I am now becoming profitable and have learnt huge amounts from the loss and gain. If you let losses make you quit then you do not deserve gains. Education costs money and I can assure you, I have paid for mine emotionally and financially, however technically I only lost 9k out of 20 so the education was free in it's own way. Remember to take profits, soon as the trend bends make sure you END it, do not hope it will bounce back, its game over.
I believe demo trading is very important in the beginning. I see it as a boxer training for a fight, sure training and sparring are not the same, but you can't go into a real fight without training.
I came here always when fear possessed me fear of open a trade fear of losing my profits to get some energy... emotions are really hard to train it and it won't be trained only if ya trade with a real account. Best of luck to all of ya dear colleagues
3 people aren't in touch with their emotions. Another great talk from Mr Paul, he may be my favourite guest for overall knowledge on this channel, followed closely by Steve Ruffley for philosophy, Mark Sturdy for technical advice, and Francis Hunt for practical application.
After six months of doing active trading strategies so far I already profit over 10% from my orginal investment (is a small operation) but it could have been way better however I screwed it up due to my poor emitonal control, for example I sold Moderna and Disney stocks before they reached their highest gains just because I wasn't patient enough and of course I felt like the dumbest person on earth but as some say time beats timing and I'm here cause I don't want to make that kind of mistakes again.
This man David Paul was a great man . The interviewer however , in a previous interview when asked what the chance of two 50:50s in a row she said she didn’t know !!! He told her a quarter … a half x a half He later asked her what the chance of three 50:50s in a row were ….. She said I don’t know ❤ Why is somebody of this calibre interviewing a master of his craft ? It would be like me asking George Bush a question about Iraq and sitting back and when he asks me a question I just say I don’t know ❤ Pathetic really
My positive trades ratio higher than losing but still I'm not making profits because when I lose 1 trade, I take 2 trades without proper analysis n that's the beginning of downfall which involves my emotions. Honestly, struggling even now n not gonna give up but this isn't an easy journey to learn n earn but practice has important role also
My problem is my analysis is perfect, i have ptsd, i freeze up and i cant click on the trade, fear that it will turn against me, even though i have seen so many times i am right on my analysis. I see my set up, i just freeze and dont enter.
his speaking in terms of stock but im currently learing how to trade forex and ic can see how this can apply to all types of trading because its all the same just different assets being trades

That’s all well and good in theory, but all bets are always off for me whenever I’m in it, watching the market move against me is a horrible feeling. Painful
Bro, my analysis is top notch, my entires are top notch, but I can't handle a fucking simple pullback. ... I try to reduce my position sizing but still that fucking impulse behaviour kicks in and I exit in first small pullback. ... I'm working on it, anybody would like to share his experience and suggest some practical points I should keep in my mind, is appreciated

This guy is incredibly underselling himself. After watching these interviews i have a lot of respect for him.
How this channel doesn't have 100k + subs is beyond me.
Some of the best trading interviews I've ever seen on YT

I lost my trading psychology. 😕. Came back to watch him again to remember what I've learnt from him
This guy has a lot of knowledge, and seems to be a very pleasant guy with a nice sense of humour 👍

Top man, insightful. The interviewer is really lovely :)
I wouldn't say you stop the thoughts, that just creates more internal conflict, best to let them happen but don't hang on them.
I just lost 1500+$ because of holding long losses and holding long profits they turn into loss. I learned to not hold anything for too long
5:05 there is a little secret here. Listen to this bit. It took me nearly 12 years to find this out. He just spelt it out so easily.
This guy is really awesome. Thanks a lot for sharing your wisdom with us.
That’s what I do. Put 10% in then build my position depending on where the stock goes
Thanx UK for these interviews
Baby steps. that is myself. Happy to make £20 per trade on 50p
I took infant steps, make 1 dollar on 10p....
Emotion is a reaction of our thoughts.....
Underrated.
There are old traders there are Bold traders... Then there's David Paul
Shooting range analogy 👍🏾
Learning trading is worth the risk for ordinary people making 10k a month or more
I love this channel! Amazing stuff
Very informative video. Greeting from Angola 🇦🇴

This is gold
No one is rooting for the interviewer, very intelligent looking lady with a beautiful laugh

Brilliant Ideas
My fear always keep me exit a good trade too early. Still trying to be better
Babypips...babysteps 👍🏻

Questions are you prepared to be successful
0:22 (time stamp for myself)
Wait power of NO?
I wonder how his portfolio is doing now.
Nice bird x
By using a good Ea your emotions can not blow your account
In 4 days I made over 15k in my funded account but yesterday because of greed to make it 20k I lost everything plus I breached my funded account 😭
I seriously thought that was AOC 👀
WOW, this woman is so infatuated with him.
