This is quite honestly one of the best GTA III review videos I've seen. Countless videos talk about the success and the way it changed the video game industry forever or how it's bare bones GTA, but you on the other hand actually put into words the FEELINGS a player goes through when playing through the game very well! You had something new and fresh to say, something that can help the viewer understand the game without playing the game. Incredible video!
The sad reality though is that this game and Vice City too, aged very poorly. They are only relatively fun if you just want to fk around but if you are a story kind of player you would hate both games cause they have some of the worst AI ever, clunky controls and limited gameplay that make some missions so tedious you actually feel like giving up trying to complete them. Luckily the definitive edition introduced checkpoints or I would have never be as stubborn as I was as a kid to complete these games again now, by having to drive all the way to accept the mission again at every fail and do everything from beginning. Now San Andreas was a huge step forward instead and even though it came out just 3 years after gta 3 and a couple of years after vice city, san andreas' story is actually playable cause the game's gameplay aged quite well and doesn't get as frustrating as gta 3 and vice city. To explain how frustrating gta 3 is, here's how I failed one mission: after doing one of the most boring missions ever, doing everything the game wanted escorting this truck that drove at a snail pace all over town protecting it from local gangs, when the truck finally reaches its destination, because of the bad AI of the game and without me doing anything wrong, it takes a wrong turn and instead of reaching the garage where it was supposed to go it gets stuck on a nearby wall and of course there's no way to make it go back to the right route and all I could do was fail the mission and of course have to drive all the way back to accept it again and do everything from beginning. That's how frustrating gta 3 and vice city are.
"It ended way too soo- " Loved the ending, made me think about all the hours, days and years spent on that game. Knowing every back alley and corner, every easter egg, every online player haha 😁
I play for the story and gta 3 is quite a nightmare to complete because of how old it is. To make an example, here's how I failed one mission: after doing one of the most boring missions ever, doing everything the game wanted escorting this truck that drove at a snail pace all over town protecting it from local gangs, when the truck finally reaches its destination, because of the bad AI of the game and without me doing anything wrong, it takes a wrong turn and instead of reaching the garage where it was supposed to go it gets stuck on a nearby wall and of course there's no way to make it go back to the right route and all I could do was fail the mission and of course have to drive all the way back to accept it again and do everything from beginning. As far as I know, that glitch was a Definitive Edition exclusive and wasn't in the original games. Really sucks that people's experiences of these games got tainted like that.
not having ammunation markers and a gps was honestly really cool to me, by the end it actually felt like i truly knew the city layout and I wasn't just following a line on the lower left corner on the screen to get to the next shootout/cutscene, I try to play the newer games without the gps now because of gta3 and somehow it just feels so different and immersive. Great stuff I love your vids :)
This is genuinely one of the best videos I've seen lately, it's so homely and pleasant to watch in a weird way, it's someone talking about this game he loves
This is the bigges problem about GTA 3. People gona cry about not able to swim, naaaah, this one is even worse. Kind of sad that they didn't introduce it in Definitive Edition. Like in new update you can use shotguns and rifles while walking, nice. But this one being able to bail out of car in GTA 3 would be so great. And next worst thing is Mafia has shotguns and Colombinas has AK's. Bruh, you can't survive that. You just avoid those areas at all cost.
yeah. elder scrolls morrowind was like that. you had to memorize where things where. like our parents did back in the day... gave the game this realistic, complex feeling. just roaming around was satisfying because you would learn where things are.
not true. the dodo was never intended to be flown like a regular plane and thats been confirmed by the devs. it was just a proof of concept for future gta titles :)
Claude isnt a psychopath, killing crooks who kill innocent people doesn't make him one and youd actually stuck by them? Lmao this is ridiculous, also asuka didn't save him, it was maria. All asuka did was use claude. You have no proof he killed maria at the end of the game too
@@Nejt_ report said a witness saw 2 people flee the scene, no mention of her dead body, she appears on chatterbox and the objective was to rescue her lol
For a normal person, killing people wouldn't be easy just because those people are crooks. If you think otherwise, you're probably just as psychopathic as Mr. Speed himself. Maria got him into trouble, then her *and* Asuka got him out of it again (Also Asuka personally came to save Maria which is pretty based since she's risking her own head to help her friend). Saying it was all Maria is just wrong. Asuka even gives Claude a safe place to hide out in too. Rockstar themselves decided to leave the final cutscene with the gunshot open to personal interpretation: Rockstar Games' official response to fan questions about the incident in 2009 was that "Certainly gun shots were fired but nobody is sure as to exactly what happened". My interpretation was that he shot her.

Thank you buddy, this is easily one of the nicest comments I've gotten. & yeah I really do love this era of GTA lol
No pain no gain struggle not like in gta 5
Can't bail out of cars in 3😂
yeah lmao you're on fire and upside down but you gotta sit there politely until your car comes to a complete stop

10/10 content. We need more gta 3 videos
Claude's biggest crime...NOT SAYING SHIT!
I know this is a controversial take, but I despise the silent protagonists
I like em personally. Honestly there a lot of protagonists I wish were fcking silent lol
This video was great haha
good video man. I've noticed YT algorithm is promoting smaller channels again since I started using my account again.
1:25 & 4:40 accurate 😂
Coincidence or inspiration with the thumbnails? Thought HighBoi uploaded a new video at first when i got recommended this. Decent video though
The reason they did that for the planes is because it was around 911 happened and they had to change the game a lot
not true. the dodo was never intended to be flown like a regular plane and thats been confirmed by the devs. it was just a proof of concept for future gta titles :)
This video ended way too soo...
He is not Claude Speed from GTA2
Hmmm 🤔

this comment was made by a 7 year old
