Caroline Benson was her real name. Carly Roberts was her pretend name. She took it from her high school friend who supposedly died in a car crash and wouldn’t be needing it anymore. I liked it when they brought that friend back in 2005 in the guise of government agent Reece and caused “Carly” to have a nervous breakdown.

This was the worst writing story for Sonny and Brenda! We needed Wendy Riche, Claire and etc who knew the characters. SnB fans are forever….. Brenda will always be the love of Sonny life, she is passionate and so is he. If GH ends, it’s only right to bring back the original writers and ( fab 4- Lois, Robin, a dream from Stone, montage of videos on SnB, and possibly Miguel to sing at another SnB send off party show. I believe she was pregnant when she left and didn't say anything because of what was going on at the time. Carly, Jax, their custody battle, her and Sonny fighting about Carly and Jax, the mob, being safe. I can see why she wouldn't have told him then. Not to mention his attitude at that time. He was not in the best place for her to tell him something like that. I hope when Vanessa returns, that will be a huge part of their story. Brenda is pathetic. Taking on Carly for busting her to Jax, sure, Carly can give as good as she gets, game on. But to use Michael in such a cavalier way, knowing how it would devastate him, how it could damage his relationship with his father, was small and petty and cruel. She could only see hurting Carly and paid not one wit of attention to anyone else who would be effected. It just shows how little she's grown as a person, how immature and selfish she remains and how little regard she has for anyone outside herself. It was cute and slightly annoying when she was a young adult, we could chalk it up to youth and passion. Not so much anymore. Brenda is a whole ass adult now but no wiser, everything is still all about her. Brenda instigated this entire mess. Brenda lied to and used Jax. Brenda sought out Sonny.
