Ho braddah! Your my 2023 hero of citrus! All my citrus can’t grow like yours. I got to grow in pots here in Nc 🇺🇸 I put seven out 30 citrus trees in ground and the freeze won’t let them grow like yours.the potted trees hides in my greenhouse, one day they’ll be like yours thanks for keeping my fire to grow citrus! Aloha from Nc 🇺🇸🤙🏼
I'm happy to cheer you on, keep it up!
It has been an honor to meet you mate in person. Very humble man and yet full of wisdom. Good on you Mate!
Thank you, pot and fam! We enjoyed our quick meet with you all 🧡
I am so excited to see the flowers bloom. I bet they smells amazing to sniff
Anyone else see that spider at 2:08?! 😭
Anyways, beautiful tree!!! Just purchased one today. I’m excited to see how it does over time!
Good eyes :-) Spiders are common in Australia, both outdoors and indoors!
Orb spider.
I have 2x Kishu but they have been dormant of flowers but my Cocktail grapefruit which is Manderin Pomelo is the best flowering and fruiting trees I have. Once trunks are 1" and above they really produce. Enjoy the fruit!
Ahahahha!!! Thanks so much for the video, just bought an afourer mandarin earlier today because I liked the taste of the variety without looking into the tree itself and after your video I realised I bought the *perfect* variety. Cheers
Hope you enjoy it!
W. Murcott Afourer mandarin has a seedless mutant called Tango.
Thank you for this video. You have given me a reason for buying a mandarin seedling which I have been ignoring most of the time.
Glad to hear!
Wonderful fruit garden
Thanks for visiting
I bought a grafted sweet mandarin small plant today. Repotted it in a 20 inch pot. Hoping to get fruits from it after 3 years may be. Your plant looks very beautiful 🙂
Sounds great! Best of luck!
This for sure has to be the Kinnow Mandarin cultivar of Mandarin grown in Punjab (India and Pakistan)
It grows thousands and thousands of the sweetest fruits all year around.
I am also think , it is Indian kinnow mandarin
@@rajib1701 the label says W. Murcott Afourer mandarin and not Kinnow mandarin.
I bet it smells amazing
It sure does!
The common name for it is Nardocot, the big challenge is fruit producers who want to be the sole suppliers, we can't find these tree but we are one of the biggest commercial producers (South Africa) it's very frustrating, i found a seed in one and it sprouted but i believe mandarins to be monoembryonic so most likely something else will result. Also have two Tarocco blood oranges sprout, so am hoping the are true to fruit since sweet oranges are polyembryonic.
Good luck!
Mandarins are not really monoembryonic. It has nucellar germination as well.
I am in Adelaide. I very happy to watch your video. Because I bought Afourer mandarin tree last week!
Wonderful! Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you so much sir 😊 please say Which kind of Mandarine is it ?
Afourer Murcott
How you made the plant so beautiful so bright
Hey that’s one of a kind mandarin tree I also have a mandarin tree in my house and it fruits every year and it’s so little I think it’s like 2 feet tall
This is very popular in California grocery stores, often sold as “cuties”
Its so satisfying to watch
Got a little seedling a year old on my windowsill from last year about to explode but it was very slow to start. I am not expecting to get any fruit this year but I am just happy it is looking healthy.
you mentioned when u bought it from your friend it was about 3-4 years old in a pot, so after you plant it in the ground how many years did it take to grow this big....thank you
5-6 years
Clear explanation thank you
You are welcome
What is the highest temperature there in summer sir ?
i have different kind of citrus garden here, and it is sweetest and stongest among all citrus, but it gives fruits only once in a year, ( Citrus Reticulata)
Here in Darjeeling India
Summers are short and dy here, only 3 months. Maximum temperature 44C, normally 25-35C.
@@RealLifeFruitopia may i know" sir which of the citrus kind is that ?
wondering and urge to know that gives fruits round the year ?
looking beautiful
I am so jealous i refuse to watch anymore.
You can watch my other videos too :)
😊
I am in Melbourne as well and have planted quite a few fruit trees but not that much fruit from them
@@ayyazali4037 Give them water, food and time and they will reward you.
In spring i'm about to plant about 12 citrus tree, I've got a question regarding compost some people say don't put any in the hole it will kill the roots and other people say put compost in the hole I'm a little confused, can I ask what did you do? any advice
thank you
It's better to pile compost around the tree circle and cover with mulch.
That was a beautiful spider
Nice your only this video makes you famous thanks
Thanks to you!
Holy crap that spider on the trimmings was big!
If I only could get the trimmings
Which is your climete ? Tropical or subtropical?
Cool temperate.
Please sir can you make a video about the difference between Clementine, Mandarine and Tangerine?
www.sandjmandarins.com/whats-the-difference-between-oranges-mandarins-satsumas-clementines-tangerines/
Thanks George you inspired me to buy one, I got mine from Gardenworld. How does it taste compared to the other Mandarin varieties.
It has a sharper flavor than other mandarins and very juicy. Best of all I like its longer picking season. Enjoy!
That is a large spider at 2:07.
Is it Marcott Tangerine? I bought one from nursing plan. It has a lot of flowers that’s smell really good
Murcott Afourer
omg that's awesome #GOALS
Excellent. From India
Thanks!
Make a video on Nagpur Orange,it is the best orange in taste.
Amazing 👏!!! I'm in Texas Zone 8 and harvested from My Clementine it was delicious and sweet. What do you do for winter?
I'm in zone 9b, none of my citrus are ever covered or protected.
@@RealLifeFruitopia Thank you so much for your reply! What's the lowest temperatures you experience?
@@allthingsflowers 32F
I live in mass.. We have snow here too..will it grow in winter indoors
Tough to do but doable with enough sunlight in winter.
Yikes! that's a big spider at 2:08
Normal size.
What fertilizer do you use? Ours keep producing immature and split fruits. 😕
Premium compost and seaweed liquid
Fruit splitting is because of calcium deficiency.
🕷Did anyone see that yellow/orange SPIDER on minute 2:08? Looked like a scorpion 🦂 it’s on a big leaf on the ground
Good observation!
@@RealLifeFruitopia do you know what kind of spider it was?
What is the age of the plant thanks
8 yo
Hi ,
This variety fruit mandarine Afourer , is come from a Afourer farmer's estate located in Morocco country , which produces high quality mandarins for thé France whose variety name is Nadorcott.
You have the name of the variety of your tree.
🙏🙏🙏
Thanks very much for this information! 😀
Can you provide 200 tree of Mandarin orange in Bangladesh??
I couldn't even send you 20 seeds without the red tape involved in my country. They call it quarantine laws, I call it unjust taxes. Sorry I couldn't help.
This will be available in Bangladesh pretty soon.
Wow
Very nice i brougt a afourer plant by high price 2 month ago but a nursery man says afourer mandarin is sour is it right what is the briks value of this mandarin waiting for your answer thanks
I have no idea about Briks reading. Afourer is sweet with some lingering tanginess.
Wow mind to ask what variety? The large tree
The mandarin is Murcott Afourer
Thats a happy tree! Hopefully there not sour 👍
Not at all
@@RealLifeFruitopia Sweet!😁 yeah, mandarins are my favorite and tangerines 👍
Hi..does a mandarin from seed bear fruit like yours?how old you think to bear fruit?loved your tree.
I've never grown a mandarin from seed. Let us know how you go.
Never expect a seed grown citrus plant for fruits. If you want fruits from citrus plant, then buy a grafted or air layered one plant.
very nice video.
Thanks
Is it easy to peel? Does it taste sweet?
Yes sweet, with some tanginess, my favourite mandarin.
If you live in the U.S them I’m sure you have had “Cuties, Halo’s” ? This is one of the varieties sold commercially. From October to December it’s the Clementine and from January to April it’s the W. Murcott. I have both but neither of them fruit and flower year round. Must be the Kangaroo poop.
2:08 The spider got a little scared
What kind of fertilizer you put?
Compost and mulch
I have a 4ft tall mandarine and this year its just covered in the white flowers right now ( October ). When do the fruit arrive? Do they come after the flowers? Ive never done this before. Learning. Nice tree you have.
My afourer is currently holding ripe and green mandarins, also flowering. It's an amazing variety. You didn't say in what country you are.
@@RealLifeFruitopia I am in Australia. Mine is an Imperial variety. It is covered in flowers at the moment but no fruit yet.
@@3800TURBO Imperial is the first mandarin to ripen in autumn. Should be ready around April-May.
@@RealLifeFruitopia That is a wonderful trait!!! And "Google" says the hottest temp in your area is about 117 F which is comparable to what we get in Phoenix, Arizona.
@@jennifereverettgrowsfoodor1598 We get 117 F for one day every 3 years, the climate is not like Arizona!
Any tips on how to encourage more flowers?
Potash!
Also. Reduce the amount of water when flower starts appearing in your plant.
Sir would you give me some Mandarin orange tress plz
How can I let the tree I have fruit all the year around. It fruited this year million and millions . Some strong wind and hailstorm cause it to drop all the beed size fruits. Can you help

I'm not too far from you. Good to hear on your garden, keep it up!
it seems grafted, you know what rootstock it is grafted on ?
Not sure
Do you know what variety of mandarin this is?. I just got a satsuma mandarin plant. Just saw it might be a murcot.
It's a Murcott variety called Afourer.
@@RealLifeFruitopia I hope my satsuma mandarin will fruit like your Afourer!
love from india...good video
Thanks 😊
brother how is it now....is it still fruiting in off season.....whole year
Actually, it's currently the main season. Loads of ripe fruit ready to eat.
How many years before it bears the first flowers/fruits?
Not sure as I picked it up at around 4-5 years old. As with all citrus, look for fruit after the second year.
Can you grow persimmon fruit trees in melbourne? can you make a video if you have one.
Use search to find videos I have on persimmons. I have 5 different varieties, currently the oldest tree has over 100 fruit ready to pick.
Sir will it grow in tropical area or sub tropical area? If it grows so then how will be its taste?
It grows anywhere citrus grows. Taste is described in video.
I have one mandarin plant which flowers all round. I am in Nepal.
Put my Afourer in the ground yesterday.
🍊🤩
how much price mandarin varity. please can I took it.
is your tree a grafted variety?
Yes. Almost every tree I have is grafted.
This is amazing I hope someone have the variety in U.S so that I can buy the scion wood from them. Or we can go to Australia to get it🤜🏾🤜🏾🤜🏾

Hi George, Is this mandarin sweet when ripe ? a friend of mine said this type is sour? I am looking to buy one as per this video, so hope you can confirm. Thanks heaps, Tiffany
It's a good mandarin, sweet when ripe with a distinct tangy flavour. It's best feature is that it holds the fruit for many months, unlike other varieties.
@@RealLifeFruitopia thanks so much George.
As citrus trees mature their fruit get sweeter, don't be discouraged if it is great the first few seasons. Plus they get sweeter the longer they stay on the tree.

@@namik123g7, Not lately. The Democrats are oppressing EVERYONE. The "pandemic" has become their new tool of control. I believe we're about to go to war (civil war). Almost all of our mainstream news outlets and social media platforms are owned by the Democrats, and they are using it to deceive, and to filter any truth that defies their political agenda. We only have about a month to resolve this... peacefully. After that, things will get ugly. Too much evidence of voter fraud to just dismiss. There is video of the Democrats pulling out suitcases of ballots, after the doors were closed for the night, and running them through the system without any watchers present. That is a major no-no! Our voting software has been proven to be bias, intentionally. An audit was done, and Trump votes were being turned into Biden votes, repeatedly. Make no mistake, Trump WILL remain in office! We, the people, will see to that! And then, maybe, I can get me one of these mandarin trees. Lol!
