When looking for Gold, you know that using Google Earth and Geology is the key to finding lost Gold Mines and getting that Shiney ....but by adding a UTV to the mix , you are unbeatable. We could not get to the areas we want to look for Gold with out one and I think the only other thing that would be better would be a Para Glider ....hint hint ....Let us know what you use to get to those secret Honey Holes by leaving us a comment below and for more Gold Hunting secret just watch this video. ruclips.net/video/uqXjhTOMcZQ/видео.html
Sure beats shanks-mare........
Jeff I’m in Cochise county Az, and cattle ranchers lease the BLM around here. Is prospecting allowed if cattle is being run?
How about a wing suit, Boss? (🤭)
i had a powered paraglider for ten years and just sold it last January. Fresh Breeze Solo 210, swiss made, excellent rig. I flew in it once, tandem with an instructor and got freaked out and then it sat in my garage for the next 9 years lmao
Horseback and pack mule
I swear all you guys getting together and pumping out videos of mining has replaced my weekend morning cartoons. 😂❤🔥⛏
hahahhahahah thats what we want to hear
Be very very quiet we're hunting...gold 24 🥕 .
What's cool about Google earth for Ontario Canada, is that the government created a KML file layer that shows thousands of active and inactive mines. All kinds of info about what was mined, drill reports, links to maps, and tons of other info.
thats great ...would love to have something like that here
@@AskjeffwilliamsNo kidding huh,?
Really!? what about Manitoba?
@@scotteasley83 I have never looked up anything other than Ontario and Quebec since I am close to that border.
I can't thank you enough, Jeff for your geology lessons. My knowledge of gold geology has taken a quantum leap forward from watching your videos. God bless Jeff Williams.
thanks ...really appreciate that and glad to hear that too
First off im glad you reminded me to smaah the like button.... i forgot to do so. Secondly i see a recouring thing. The caulk was slippery compared to other materials. The colors blue and green are indicators of rich zones. (Gravels next to bed rock) in some cases. There tends to be rich deposits around wooly mammoth bones too. I have no idea why that would be the case. Would you? Lastly thank you for the most excellent advice and video . The old timers knew that if they found gold on the outside then the richer deposit were inside . Thats because of weathered rock on the outside. Of course there were no guarantees of that . Those old timers were not all dummies.
That's a geology lesson to get in depth on. The different types of deposits left from intrusion
This was a new one on me. Thanks for sharing more of your infinite wisdom Jeff.
glad you liked it
KITTY!!! ❤
Take us inside the mine J'Miner Jeff!!!
As always, you have created another informative an memorable video. So come on let's go...

LET'S GOOOOO...🤠
thanks
got my first peace of quartz with gold in it used my gold monster 1000 so excited from Reefton in New Zealand
thats fantastic ....congrats and keep getting that Shiney
Like so many of us, the budget doesn't allow for a UTV, so we make do with what we've got to get where we can.
*Jeff you would have made one hell of a University Professor--maximum knowledge AND maximum motivation!*
thanks ....really appreciate that ...I use to give lectures back in the day
I wish he'd open classes on that. I'd be one of the very first to sign up.

Good morning Jeff. Okay I'd like to buy the book but you got to tell us where to get it from?
Alright, two days in a row! Thanks for those pure gold tips. Jeff & Lila!

Another great video brought to you by the incomparable Jeff Williams, Thank you for sharing your rich knowledge
Thank you so much for teaching me an my husband. Your so smart an we really admire you and we love you guys. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
thank you sue ....much appreciated
So Jeff I have a vacation coming up and I was hoping I could come and work the drift mine with you and explorin/prospecting some new area's....
we have 3-day tours coming up that you can sign up for .... just sign up as a Premium patron to get started www.patreon.com/askJeffWilliams
@@Askjeffwilliams Yeah I was a patron for like 3yrs and it didn't do anything for me when you have the tours I'm always busy I have been subscribed to you off and on for 15yrs it's not the $$$ to me.....
I found decomposing granite in Fremont Canyon in Wyoming that had tiny gold in it…. Thanks for the info……
That is awesome! you betcha
I saw UTV and thought it had something to do with the sun.😊 Not awake yet. Good video!
Jeff I use My Jeep LJ to get in close with my ATV in tow on an old military M416 flatbed trailer. My ATV is preloaded with all my gear so I can get even closer to the mine portals or exploration areas. Camping close by leaves plenty of time for exploration. A drone is something I have yet to purchase but next on my list.
Man... you sure put a lot of work in this how too video, Thx Jeff !!! Brother had a bunch of wild horses doing his lawn a week ago. He be in Dayton. You got your 100k + so you got more to do !!! 🌵🌵💀💀👍👍🌵🌵
Thanks 👍Right on Brother .... you know it
In West Texas we find oil in the Dolomite down there. Has some poristy and sands in certain sections of it which holds oil. We also drillin the Wolfcamp which has your shales and sands that also has oil in it. Awesome video my friend.
Interesting!
Nice information sir
Jeff Williams, new Goldmine, very rich and gold from what I seen .. nice Jeff keep up the good work..❤😊😊
Thank you! Will do!
Nice ❤ I want to see the finishing product😊
They probably didn’t want anyone poking around there and finding the real stuff . The way it was done was government related so you know SAFETY wasn’t involved. Like u said Jeff. Thank u both for another method on gold geology and prospecting 😊.
man, these tricks of trade are very cool to watch, thank you sir!
you betcha
ya know what? you ARE my favorite gold-miner, prospector AND geologist.!
thanks for the entertainment and the lessons.
always my pleasure my brother
Best gold geologist on RUclips!

Jeff how did you take those close up shots of gold I've been trying to solve that problem thanks for videos

Hey Jeff having a ATV/UTV sure makes it easier on the wheels mother nature provide! Lol! Besides ya might locate an abandoned drive in theater out there! Lol! Does allow for additional equipment and the Armstrong Heater (the Mrs.) to be brought along.... ⚒️⚖️💪🤠

@@Askjeffwilliamshahahaha
Thanks Jeff an Lila that was some really good lessons. Them old timers were very smart. Jeff when they were looking for gold way back in the day did they just go sample everything. Because they didn't have the tools we have to find it today. I guess they were really smart or just lucky lol thank brother be safe 🙏
yes they were ....no actually they had a system to finding Gold that most don't know of today .... we will make a video about that ...if they will let me . Lol
Like button SMASHED, HARD! I'm waiting for a day (video/channel) where I'm not just blown away by your talents, generosity, straight shoot'n smarts! Thank you so much. Love ya, Bro.

Morning Sunny Jim...Most interesting Video...Question, why are you not working your gold mine?..Hope the worm people havent run you off?.....Take care ...............JB...............
Thanks JB , really glad you liked it ..... we are currently in negotiations with their over lord so hopefully they will allow us to work their lower regions in exchange for something simple.

Educational as always! The alluvial factor is interesting! The rain in that geographical area must be seriously limiting in alluvial having a significant factor? Thanks for the video!

HAY JEFF, I HAVEN'T SEEN YOU IN THE CLAME JUMPER IN A WHILE... GOOD TO SEE YOU OUT ON THE TRAIL... TELL SLIM I SAID GREETINGS FROM CREEL CHIHUAHUA, MEXICO... PEACE...
thanks and will tell him
Love this type of video 💌; most of us don't have the resources to develop a large mine so educating us on Geology that will help us find valuable smaller deposits is greatly appreciated. 🤟
So true! Thanks
I have several mines.. but they are just very small scale and I can only work one at a time. It's tough just running these. Can't imagine running one of those huge mines.
Awesome video thank you
🦅🇺🇸💪🤠👍hot dang Sunny Jim that's freaking awesome
Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
good morning SWM
There is massive potato sized gold in Riverside County... along the Pacific Crest Trail... Its hard to get the big chunks out of the copper ore and chalcopyrite.

Thank you as always Jefff, informative and interesting. Say hi to Slim from, Utah.
thanks Mark
Happy thanksgiving
Always awesome entertainment and informative
thanks
Awesome work, thank you for great videos and information as always.⛏️👍🤜🤛
Awesome video Jeff lots of great information. Question..I noticed the black stones when you were panning where the palm trees are. What causes that I'm asking because in one of our creeks the stones even the soil mixture of sandstone and gravel has turned black and dark brown and when we got the place nothing was black and that was 22 years ago, I notice the black residue about 12 years ago it comes from the top of a waterfall and the rock is mainly granite, fine granite that at one point I thought it was Rhyolite that big rock has several circular shapes from 3 to 12 feet in diameter and the circular shapes are sliced like a pizza and on the center of the circular shapes the color is black deep black but the rest of the circle is clear. It is a seasonal creek and the stain is about 150 ft from the top of the waterfall where the circular shapes are. If you need to see images I can send them to you. Also at the end of the black stain we do have a Quartz vein with smaller than flea poop gold microscopic gold very hard to collect. The vein moves North to South and at the North side it looks like the Quartz vein got mashed with a large Granite bolder but what is interesting is that the vein when it made contact with the Granite looks like a miniature volcano made of rectangular stones like Lego pieces but they all run West to East and the point or the top where the hole was there is a 4 inch Oak growing out of it. Also I do get signals with some of that stone with the Falcon MD20 and again I find flea poop micro gold.
Hope you can comment on the black stain at one point I thought it was magnesium but I do not see the small strings of mg just see a solid black to dark brown color like if nature is spray painting all that area. We are located in Descanso CA up on the San Diego local mountains.
Thank you
Hi Jeff, love your videos. What are the legal issues when looking at an old mine? If the owner leaves it unattended does it become public property? or? can he close his mine and keep claim to the property? etc
if they do not pay the yearly Tax or assessment fees then it goes to BLM
Yes, you can claim an abandoned gold mine. You better check land status first and make sure that it's open for mineral entry. Some old mine lands have been withdrawn for mineral entry due to various reasons such as it becomes private property or protected wilderness. I use a few websites that help in determining what is claimable such as Google Earth for exploring, the diggings and BLM's MRLS map that shows currently 'active' claims, which of course are accessed in the map layers under "Mining Claims". You can check with the local county records to see who owns the property. Good luck! 🤠
Like shale that's a sill mostly ?
Cool gadgets in your atv😊
thanks
Could you do a video about what a sill and dyke are? Or if you already have could you get me a link? Thanks Jeff, I have learned a ton from you and am still learning.

Thank You Jeff 😃👍💖
You are very welcome
Hey Jeff did you ever consider claiming up a BUNCH of spots you like then getting your community to work them? Talk about great content and I'm sure you'd make a good deal for everyone. Just a thought!
That’s a interesting idea. Maybe the more experienced prospectors can work the more difficult spots and the less experienced people work the safer areas. I know he kind of already does this but there is room for upscale I’m sure.
He does 3 day gold trips to his claims. They look like a lot of fun. Become a patron, and you're eligible to go on them.
we do that on our 3-day Gold mining Adventure Tours
exactly @@LuckyBaldwin777
Yes I'm aware of the trips but they are for getting just a taste. They are very cool I'm just wondering if you would be interested in the challenge to cross that tourism-education line and form trustworthy teams and make a bigger push. Obviously trust is likely the limiting factor just hire well. Just seems you would know alot of those guys already and could make a helluva run at it. There's no way you you can work all the locations you know about without doing something bigger. Maybe it's a bad idea for your life goals but i wish someone would create some mining jobs that aren't so hugely corporate. The clubs don't scratch my itch either... Lol
Jeff Great lesson! What hammer drill is that and tip?
that is a Makita
Jeff is the GOAT!
thanks
Hey Jeff! My name is Hunter and I recently purchased the GPZ 7000 and was wondering if you had any good pointers on that specific detector? We are very interested in your channel and would love some insight from the pro (you). And our main focus would be detecting for gold!

I have actually had better luck getting to these old mines with a dirt bike... if I had to take my ATV it would take a LOT of clearing to get back to the mine only to see if it worth clearing out for further exploration
This looks like near Dayton NV

I know...right
More Lila!
I agree
Great video by the way as always I love them
What happened to the lode mine you were working.
we still have it
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
thanks ...you too
I think that's a patented mine ? Why would BLM bulldoze it ? Obviously, for other (suspicious) reasons. 🤔 There's also a Limonite lens along the east flank of the range, below the Monte Cristo. Sampled it years ago but only ran .06 oz/ton. Nearby is a huge deposit of dendritic material containing 5 oz/ton silver. Vat leaches like candy with cyanide. Thanks for bringing us on the adventure ! 🤠⛏️⚒️👍
exactly my brother ..... like this area better as the Gold is more abundant and pockets of it if you have the time to dig
Nice
