A thing that may interest you: This was not much talked about, especially given the current international news, but yesterday a major agreement was reached between Portugal and Spain on one side and France on the other. The Iberian Peninsula has not been much affected as others in its gas supply, since for Spain it comes mostly from Algeria, and for Portugal from Nigeria and others through its LNG terminal at the port of Sines. For some time, there as been the idea of connecting the Iberian infrastructure to Central Europe, in order to help alleviate the dependence on a single exporter. France has always been an obstacle, refusing any pipeline across the Pyrenees. With the Russian invasion of February and all its consequences, the urgency of this project has only increased, but up till now France remained against it, even with Germany supporting Portugal and Spain. But yesterday, the three countries reached an agreement, that in Portugal was seen as beneficial - a pipeline would be constructed between the Port of Sines and the Spanish grid, and the connection with the rest of Europe would not cross the Pyrenees, but be built in the Mediterranean between Barcelona and Marseille. And from there it can be easily exported to central Europe, giving Spain and especially Portugal with the port of Sines a new strategic relevance. Also, the project has a vision of future, being actually thinked for "Green Hydrogen", seen as an energy resource of the future, but initially can be used to transport liquefied natural gas. This is a topic easily forgotten in the hot issues of these days, but it's very important for the European energy independence and cohesion. And gives new strategic value to Iberia. No, Ursula meant: freezing funds. Italy is a net payer for the EU budget, but it also receives lots of money back. There is also the unofficial ECB public debt purchases program that keeps all countries in the eurozone from becoming insolvent if they had to pay market interest rates for their debts (including Germany)

I love your videos and I want to point that Lega is no more "Lega Nord", so you're using the old logo. I hope you will use the new logo in your next videos, just to be more accurate. Anyway, great animations
I urge people to do their own research on the likelihood of the center right collapse. This video is wrong - this coalition is the strongest Italy has seen in a very long time. Meloni appears likely to be PM all 5 years.
The Italian government is not going to collapse because of this. You are free to express your opinions, just don't present those as facts... Italian politics is a beast of its own: don't announce the end of a government when anything can still happen, it would be simply untrue.
One thing we can appreciate about italian right wing is that they hardly splits, even when the parties forming the coalition have nothing in common. You foreigners call this "collapsing", while in Italy we call this "weekend"
In this era of personality politics, it virtually doesn't matter what populist politicians do or say, they will always retain huge popular support. Witness Trump, Boris, Bolsonaro, Modi, Erdogan, Duterte and Marcos, all previously democratically elected with huge majorities. People believe and trust who they want to trust and don't let decency or truth get in the way.
"People believe and trust who they want to trust and don't let decency or truth get in the way." Seriously? You may dislike and distrust Trump, nevertheless he was the only one who keep saying that Germany and Europe addiction to Russian oil and gas is bad. You may dislike and distrust Trump, nevertheless during his time USA made no new war. You may dislike and distrust Trump, nevertheless Putin didn't invade Ukraine. You may dislike and distrust Trump, nevertheless AFAIK Israel was at peace with everyone else. You may dislike populist politicians; but their opposite, elitist politicians, are as bad or even worse. It looks like it is those Trump haters who let "decency and stubbornness" get in their way of voting for Trump.
That's the direct result of the ideological arrogance and the lack of transparency in the field of politics especially in the Continental Europe. You social liberal idiots and all the populists like duginists or the Azov deserve each other, you're the same degree of degenerate when it comes to chasing after immediate results.
Are you purposly using the image of Berlusconi where he looks like his replica at Italiano Disneyland's House of Prime Ministers? Because it cracks me up every time.
Starting with the premise i don't support the right wing parties, it actually seems like Forza Italia (berlusconi's party) isn't willing to follow berlusconi's ideas if that means that forza italia is not going to government. Even some Forza Italia's high-rank mp (like Tajani, former president of EU parliament and plausible new foreign minister) have remarked that they do indeed support Ukraine and NATO. Maybe, even if some MP are sympathetic to Putin, they are willing to forget about it in order to form the government (also because otherwise it would lead to a political suicide for Forza Italia). So, in the end, despite being a strange situation, I wouldn't say that the italian government is collapsing (considering it doesn't even exist yet).
Why wouldn't you support right wing parties? Are you a paedophile? Also, if you support any kind of democracy, sympathies for any kind of cause shouldn't be a problem for you.
It is not really shocking that Berlusconi would say something like that. It was the same with Trump and Bojo we actually expect them to say ridiculous things.
I'd laugh at the Italians but here in Israel we are about to have our fifth round of elections in less than four years with probably the same deadlock result, since Bibi is not going to leave as head of Likud and everybody will continue this nonsense. This political instability is happening all over the world at the same time.
Well… it happens when political parties are more focused on their selfish interests than on cooperation and actual attempts at improving their country. American politics can be the best example of what I mean, I guess. This behaviour is soooo typical in Italy: my country is in desperate need of some radical restructuring, yet every time it gets close to some decent structural reforms, the government suddenly suicides and the rotten status quo is preserved :”)
In the audio beslusconi said: "Putin said to me that between his top 5 best Friends i'm the Number One". Regatdless of the political situazion It's a really Mean thing to say in my opinion. @@RoyalSap long story short, Pedro Lascuráin, who was president of Mexico for roughly 45 minutes in 1913 was next in line for president after the ones before him got killed in a coup. He noped out and gave the leader of the coup the presidency.
That bromance montage killed me 😂
I like that you've learned its FDI (Fratello d'Italia) instead of FDL which is what you said all last video about the election
it’s* Isn’t it Fratelli d’Italia?
Although they showed Berlusconi's photo when talking about Salvini, so...
@@alexc2265 It is, in the plural. It's also the first verse of our national anthem.
@@francescoaiazzone my bad, at least I didnt spell Italia with an L hahaha
Hahahahaha best one ever. Informative as ever, and pure fun. Their bromance montage was brilliant!!!
Doesn’t seem all that bad for Truss now.
Still bad, but we in Italy are masters in bad politicians
What do you know?
Italy is always like this, though. People expect better from the UK.
The relationship between Putin and Berlusconi always reminded me of the history meme "they were just friends"
Italy saw UKs government collapsing and said hold my beer
You're misunderstanding a banal discussion for a "collapsing government".
Just because it's held publicly, it doesn't mean that it will have consequences.
In fact, it only adds to entertainment.
I am Italian, I didn't vote for Giorgia Meloni's coalition, and yesterday she was appointed Prime Minister. So I feel the title of the video is wrong. At least the title
Wait wait wait😂 Putin at his age keeps a top 5 BFF list? I don’t know which is worse the old old guy with a bff list or the other old old guy bragging about being on said list.
I've not seen Putin smile as much as in that photo montage. Maybe we could end the war by giving him and Berlusconi their own villa to hang out together for the rest of their natural lives?
I support this idea, just use Putin's gigantic mansion that he already has.
Not sure about Putin, but to please Silvio you'll need to fill the villa with barely aged complacent girls.
Yeah, maybe on a desrted tropical island. You could also send there Trump and Boris as well.
So thats what ursula ment when she said we have ways of dealing with italy..
@@pedrolopes3542 i was sarcastic, but timing is perfect for eu which is suspicious...
The way I laughed after you said "Putin wrote a letter saying that he's one of my five best friends" 😭😭

the bromance with putin and berlusconi music was awesome 🤣
Berlusconi is slowly turning into the villain he looks like.
Marvel comics should take note.
He's a villain because he doesn't want to start ww3?
@Philippe De Fague ,he's a villain because he's friends with a brutal dictator who threatens everyone with nuclear war. And you know what? If you are talking that people have to be friends with Putin and avoid the ww3 in this way, than we can say that all countries before could have simply let Hitler take over Europe and World War II would not started.

2:56 that's actually berlusconi, not salvini
In the first part of your video when talking about Salvini you manage to put up a photograph of Berlusconi
yeah they can't be ar...ed to do a bit of research. Also, the guy always butchers every Italian word he says. Just go to google translate and push the pronunciation button. Ain't that difficult.
I love your videos and I want to point that Lega is no more "Lega Nord", so you're using the old logo. I hope you will use the new logo in your next videos, just to be more accurate.
Anyway, great animations
Photo montage is a stroke of genius

It's perfectly fine for two grown men to be close friends, but...maybe not if they're national leaders.
I urge people to do their own research on the likelihood of the center right collapse. This video is wrong - this coalition is the strongest Italy has seen in a very long time. Meloni appears likely to be PM all 5 years.
well, not all 5 years come on, but surely longer than usual, probably around 3 or 4 years at best
"Number 1 among his 5 best friends"?.....so..... His best friend?

Lega - lay-ga
Forza - four-tsa
Lambrusco - lam-broos-coh
A very warm welcome to Italy and the UK into Latin America and the Caribbean.
@Relaxinjo Ronaldinho I doubt you guys can beat having five presidents in one week or having senators switch party in a live debate session
It shows how out of touch he is based on the fact he told his MP's a wildly unpopular opinion, thinking that they would all agree with him
The Italian government is not going to collapse because of this. You are free to express your opinions, just don't present those as facts...
Italian politics is a beast of its own: don't announce the end of a government when anything can still happen, it would be simply untrue.
"collapse" is a clickbait word. They use it everywhere. If by chance you sneeze, they make up a video about it and of course your "nose has collapsed"
Ahahaha, I love how you absolutely took a piss with the montage of putin and berlusconi
encouraging war is very amazing and cool!
The title is a click bait, the government was not put down, actually it hasn't even started yet
One thing we can appreciate about italian right wing is that they hardly splits, even when the parties forming the coalition have nothing in common.
You foreigners call this "collapsing", while in Italy we call this "weekend"
I was not prepared for that Berlusconi-Putin bromance montage.
clickbait titles? ok then... please don't change the title if the government doesn't end up collapsing, for the sake of science 🔭
That is not so true though! The government didn't collapse, and it is starting as we speak
Trump lost the popular vote in 2016. Not a huge majority there.
Poland has the same problem
"People believe and trust who they want to trust and don't let decency or truth get in the way."
Seriously?

Was Trump the president of Russia and Israel or the United States?
Are you purposly using the image of Berlusconi where he looks like his replica at Italiano Disneyland's House of Prime Ministers? Because it cracks me up every time.
Say what you will about Meloni, and I say a lot, that was a decent move and she may yet become a serious stateswoman.
That montage bro 💀
The unfortunate truth is that there is a large number of people at every level that support Pootin and think that Ukraine should just give up.
It is not really shocking that Berlusconi would say something like that. It was the same with Trump and Bojo we actually expect them to say ridiculous things.
I love that montage.
I'd laugh at the Italians but here in Israel we are about to have our fifth round of elections in less than four years with probably the same deadlock result, since Bibi is not going to leave as head of Likud and everybody will continue this nonsense. This political instability is happening all over the world at the same time.
You could say COVID was the straw that broke every unsustainable systems' backs.
Least you actually get an election.
Us poor Brits get two new PMs in two months and Joe Public doesn’t have a say in it.
