Yeah, even at the time I thought it was pretty crazy. Meloni was constantly labelled as a far right nationalist and even a neo-fascist while her actual positions seemed like pretty mainstream European conservative (i.e. anti immigrant, somewhat fiscally strict, and somewhat critical of the EU but also making it clear she didn't want Italy to leave) while Berlusconi was barely mentioned despite him being very openly pro-Putin and a literal convicted criminal.

For very similar reasons. Johnson broke English politics, Berlusconi broke Italian politics.
There is always going to be fantasy politics as there's an endless supply of political frauds willing to exploit it for easy money. But once these kinds of political frauds gain power, the game changes irreversibly. The small time frauds that just want to make an easy living get supplanted by cynical politicians with real ambitions for power - and they get backing from those who aim to control them.

A thing that may interest you:
This was not much talked about, especially given the current international news, but yesterday a major agreement was reached between Portugal and Spain on one side and France on the other.
The Iberian Peninsula has not been much affected as others in its gas supply, since for Spain it comes mostly from Algeria, and for Portugal from Nigeria and others through its LNG terminal at the port of Sines. For some time, there as been the idea of connecting the Iberian infrastructure to Central Europe, in order to help alleviate the dependence on a single exporter. France has always been an obstacle, refusing any pipeline across the Pyrenees. With the Russian invasion of February and all its consequences, the urgency of this project has only increased, but up till now France remained against it, even with Germany supporting Portugal and Spain.
But yesterday, the three countries reached an agreement, that in Portugal was seen as beneficial - a pipeline would be constructed between the Port of Sines and the Spanish grid, and the connection with the rest of Europe would not cross the Pyrenees, but be built in the Mediterranean between Barcelona and Marseille. And from there it can be easily exported to central Europe, giving Spain and especially Portugal with the port of Sines a new strategic relevance. Also, the project has a vision of future, being actually thinked for "Green Hydrogen", seen as an energy resource of the future, but initially can be used to transport liquefied natural gas.
This is a topic easily forgotten in the hot issues of these days, but it's very important for the European energy independence and cohesion. And gives new strategic value to Iberia. A video on this topic could be very interesting, especially with this channel's focus.

I disagree on this one - the closing text is copied from the Liz Truss episode "learned she really couldn't handle making the big decisions at a complex time politically". Which doesn't seem to apply here to Meloni - she's playing political hardball and saying support for Ukraine is a non-negotiable policy item. If FDI wants to be in the government they have to toe the line, and Meloni lending senators to two smaller parties is a warning she's willing to build a different coalition if need be. So it's not clear yet how that will play out, good or bad - too early to call.

Starting with the premise i don't support the right wing parties, it actually seems like Forza Italia (berlusconi's party) isn't willing to follow berlusconi's ideas if that means that forza italia is not going to government. Even some Forza Italia's high-rank mp (like Tajani, former president of EU parliament and plausible new foreign minister) have remarked that they do indeed support Ukraine and NATO. Maybe, even if some MP are sympathetic to Putin, they are willing to forget about it in order to form the government (also because otherwise it would lead to a political suicide for Forza Italia). So, in the end, despite being a strange situation, I wouldn't say that the italian government is collapsing (considering it doesn't even exist yet).

Least you actually get an election.
Us poor Brits get two new PMs in two months and Joe Public doesn’t have a say in it.

Well… it happens when political parties are more focused on their selfish interests than on cooperation and actual attempts at improving their country. American politics can be the best example of what I mean, I guess.
This behaviour is soooo typical in Italy: my country is in desperate need of some radical restructuring, yet every time it gets close to some decent structural reforms, the government suddenly suicides and the rotten status quo is preserved :”)

Man you don’t need this kind of clickbait titles. The new government wasn’t even formed when you upload the video.
