Was there in the wet on Saturday, the Terrior put in a terrific performance with probably the standard 4 tank next, though all 4 locos were fabulous. Beachy Head was absolutely magnificent a credit to all responsible for her construction
The last few years have been kind to the Bluebell. Fenchurch is back, they brought a long lost class back to life, Sir Archibald finally got his second chance...
It was the last of its type when scrapped in 1958. Also when it was scrapped it made people think that some parts of the LBSC needed preserving and a year later the Bluebell was formed to preserve part of the LBSC network and act as a base for any former LBSC types that were preserved.
Given that it’s been 25 years in the making and has cost a million quid you could at least have some kind of appraisal for it perhaps. What don’t you like about it?
@@greatwesternproductions2857 The wheel arrangement is so odd-looking. Sorry, but Beachy Head gets no appraisal from me. I'm not saying people shouldn't enjoy riding behind her, they can by all means. I'm not a lover of Atlantic types.
@@kellyashfordtrains2642 "Appraisal" doesn't mean "praise", it means assessing the value or quality of something. It's ok to appraise something and find things you dislike. But it would be interesting to know *what* you dislike. Personally I found its appearance a little jarring when I first saw it, primarily I think because the only British-outline Atlantics I'm familiar with are on miniature railways, so this felt almost like an enlarged version of a model. But it's growing on me; it has a certain retro charm, and it looks great in motion.

A super nice video and great sound :)

_Perfect_ framerate~
Beachy Head. What a beauty! And the rebuilt West Country: incomparable, except for a rebuilt Merchant Navy of course.
It's a Battle of Britain but no worries, easy mistake to make as they are identical apart from the naming.
Fenchurch giving it some beans there! I do like the Atlantic going up Freshfield Bank, it's perfect.
Me and my friend will be riding behind him tomorrow.
Why did they pick this particular type to recreate?

Another reason is they found a boiler (the main bit of an engine) from a GNR Atlantic unused in an old power plant
I love you Lord God amen ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My faith is the train ticket to heaven
Sorry, I don't like the Atlantic steamy. Fenchurch is nicer-looking in my book.
