- On September 12th The Columbus Garden Railway Society held their annual fall tour of members layouts. The Mill Valley Northern garden railroad was one of twenty two layouts on the tour. As I've said before it's just not possible to see all the layouts in the time allowed lol. This layout was just rebuilt this year and actually just finished up before the tour (I guess a good thing I reminded the owners they were on the tour a few weeks prior lol). The upper mainline of this layout actually travels around the perimeter of the house, loops into the back yard and then goes through the garage! The lower mainline loops around in front of the house and runs under the upper main down the side of the house until it loops back by the rear patio. The layout features Plenty of elevation, Bridges, trees and even a custom coal mine made out of aluminum plate! This is always a great layout to visit on the tour which is evident by the fact I've taken several other videos of it in the past. Links to the older videos below which are definitely worth a watch plus you'll be able to see how the owner has changed the layout. Words don't do this layout justice so please watch the video and if you get a chance to see this layout in person on the tour at some point please do!

Thanks for the kind words Andrew! You did a great job of filming and I appreciate you stopping by as always! Happy Railroading!!!
It's always a pleasure stopping at your place! The work you've done to revamp your railroad is amazing!
Perry, I know the club is really looking forward to you hosting a meeting next summer. Looking forward to seeing this layout in person.
We are looking forward to it as well! Will be good to see everyone!
Awesome video Andrew 👍
Night Rider
The Bandit
& Bumble Bee love it 😎
Thanks Dave!
So amazing 🤩
Great looking railroad!! Love all those northeastern Evans boxcars! Not too long ago all the freight trains in my area were mostly made of B&M, PAR/Guilford, MEC, and Railbox...sadly most of them have expired now for interchange as they exceed 50 years.
Glad it brought back some memories for you! Thanks for watching and taking time to comment!
Great video Andrew.
Glad you enjoyed it
Andrew love video but as you did toward end do get long shots of layouts as nice to see how people lay the whole thing out.
Nice Christmas special. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!

Cant go wrong with Alaska RR
Somehow I knew you'd like that lol
Where can we see this layout?. Do they run trains on a regular basis?
good vid andrew
Thank you!
What did he use for the upper elevated tracks, the black bridge with the gray supports ?
The upper level I believe was aluminum channel. The supports were made from pvc.
Bill Lynch, all of the black Bridge is aluminum. The support columns are aluminum as well set in concrete. The top of the columns are made of PVC. I can stand on it. It's rock solid.
Excellent work as usual!
