There is no such thing a G gauge. G scale uses 1 gauge tracks, along with several other scales. This is one time when the difference between scale and gauge is very important to be aware of.
I agree that it was very important to specify due to the difference between gauge and scale. That's why I said g gauge referring to the gauge of the track and not the scale of the trains. G Gauge isn't exactly correct but more people search for g gauge than 1 gauge. However, this is also why I say "Large scale" as it encompasses mostly all the scales that operate on 1 gauge/g gauge track.
@@MrPictovid I like your explanation but it is unfortunately more complicated than that. The locomotives you show are standard gauge, American, modern diesel locomotives. For them to run gauge 1 track they are most likely in scale F, 1:20.23, while scale G is 1:22.5
Yet it gets more complicated than that because the majority of what's in that video is 1/29 scale although there is some 1/24 and 1/32 pieces mixed in. Unfortunately you'll never get everyone to agree on the answer. I'm hoping you at least enjoyed the video though.
@perha45 not quite accurate. 'G' scale is a catch all for everything running on 45mm track, but as you say within that the actual scale depends of what 100% the track gauge one is reprecating.. cheers Andrew running 1.20.3 depicting 3' n/g America west form around the turn of the century [not 20th of course].
You complain about a layout, let's see yours. It's their layout, they're happy with it and so am I. It is a pleasure to watch and enjoy. As I tell modelers at the shows. "It's your layout, make it the way YOU want too".

The owner definitely puts a lot of work into it!
Those Pennsy E units are gorgeous!

Cool layouts
Thanks! Also, thank you for taking the time to comment! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Love a tanker train. USA Trains finally re-doing the 42- and 55-footers is going to hurt us at $140 and $150 a pop.
Bring on the hurt! lol
Reminds me of the show trailer park boys
How so?

You absolutely for sure could build something in that area! Thanks for watching!
Top gas
🤙
Is there a night time run video also?
Unfortunately no, just a few clips mixed in. It can be difficult at times to get nice crisp video at night.

Are you running 'Air wire', eg. battery or are you running track power?
This layout is all dead rail. No airwire, though. The trains are running on Railpro and Revolution.
Pardon my ignorance but does weather not affect the track and power transfer?
Where is this? I'm guessing somewhere in the southeastern US.
I don't give out specific locations of private layouts without the owners permission. However, this is in the southeastern United States.
Wow. that is some major work! Good job! Hello from Wisconsin.
Who made the GP9B unit?
I see Kevin’s train
Hard to miss that lashup!
How much power do you put in the track and are all the Power inputs in one spot or different place on the track
This layout is all dead rail so everything is running off onboard battery.
Your work is amazing . I love getting new ideas from watching over layouts in action. Check out my much smaller layout at Eagle rock garden railway.

If he is going for realism, he needs to paint graffiti on the cars.😅
Depends on what time period you want your models to be from. Graffiti wasn't always the norm.
