    I bought one of these bikes and even though there were some problems in the begining, the company was quick in resolving the problems. I'm impressed the power this thing has considering I was around 300lbs and it pulled me up hills like I weighed 25lbs.

      Yea man, for the price this is a pretty good ebike. Nothing super fancy or special, but it's still in my garage. I've sold pretty much all the other ebikes I've reviewed. There's this one when I just wanna rip through some trails and the Aventon Aventure 2 which I'm a bit more careful with lol.

      The two problems that I had with my bike; the left brake rotor was warp.I think that was due to the shipping process. And the left crank pedal stripped out. That was because I didn't use lock tight or didn't tighten the pedal enough when putting it together. I contacted the supplier and they were quick to supply both parts no cost. When the pedal fell off I was about 2 miles away from home. I selected level 5 and rode home under full electric, up hills and down. I was really impressed after that.

    If you can put your feet on the ground while sitting on the seat, the seat is way too low. Put your heel on the pedal axle with the pedal in the down position and your knee should lock. Then when you put the ball of your foot on the pedal, you will be at the correct extension

      When you get something that's junk it's fairly apparent right away. I never got that impression with this bike. Both me and my wife will continue to ride this one.

    The reason that the speed is different is because this tire has a circumference of 91.10 inches, whereas a normal road bike (26") has a circumference of 81.68 inches or a 10.34% difference. Your display is probably set for 26" and cannot be set for 29". In other words, take 89.66% of GPS speed, and it will be close to your display! (or another way would be to just take 10% of your display and add it back to the display will be close to the GPS value. For example: Display reads "20 mph" take 10% (2) and add it back to 20 for a more correct 22 mph.

      I figured it had something to do with tire size. I’ll have to look again, but I think it does has a larger tire size I the settings. 28” I think. Thanks for the mathematical breakdown, makes a lot of sense.

    2 questions:
    1) Power completely off or drained, how easy is it to pedal using the gears with these fat tires?
    2) Is there a method the unlock the limiter? i'm pretty sure these can go up to 28mph as other 750w motors can

    • @GadgetInspector
      @GadgetInspector  6 месяцев назад

      I actually demonstrated this in the video. 🤦🏾‍♂️ There should be a timestamp in the description if you don’t want to watch the whole video. As far as unlocking the controller, I don’t ever do it on any of my e-bikes and don’t recommend it. I believe it can cause the battery to be unstable.

    my 1000watt fat tire bike has a 20ah battery and a 30 amp controller so it peaks close to 1500watts and gets me 31mph tops. with a 52 volt battery i should be able to get 35mph.

    Your GPS is inaccurate, stop relying on it to give you accurate information. The bike is much more likely to provide you with accurate numbers because the revolutions measured by the magnet sensor have already been calculated for the wheel size.

    • @GadgetInspector
      @GadgetInspector  6 месяцев назад +1

      I disagree. Testing on bikes that align accurately serve as a baseline. I have several that sync up within micro-seconds. Any bikes that don't align are clearly off. It is what it is.

      Oh, class 3 requires pedaling to get to 25, with throttle limited to 20. If it goes above 20 on throttle alone it’s a different classification, class x if I’m not mistaken.

      Yep, the speedometer is slightly off so that was throwing me off 😆. I checked all the settings but couldn’t figure out how to correct it. I thought wheel size might be it but nope 🤷🏾‍♂️. Glad I had the GPS speedometer app.

    Where's the bike controller located

    • @GadgetInspector
      @GadgetInspector  6 месяцев назад

      You have to take the battery off, then you’ll see a black square on the bottom of where the battery mounts. That’s the controller. Be safe out there.

    Car manufactures cut off usuage of lithium batteries when down to like 12 to 18 percent.. and those are top notch batteries with liquid cooling. I recommend you not run these ebike batteries down to empty and instead when they get down to 20% go easy on the battery and pedal the bike on flat ground most of the way home.

    • @GadgetInspector

      Great advice. I should have mentioned that I only do range tests for the review. I do the same thing for my drone reviews, but never do it on the regular. It's also good to take batteries down to a storage charge level if they'll just be sitting for a while. We could go on and on about battery management though.

    I've had this bike for a year, yes is it worth it for a while of course but after a while you start realizing why the price is the price. A
    1. Sooner or later you're gonna want to do some modifications to your bike to make it what it should be but you're going to realize you're not going to be able to because the battery on this bike is specific meaning it sits on a base plate that the controller is in so if you want to do anything to your battery you have to separate the controller, and mount it somewhere else, also the battery base plate is very flimsy and will eventually break when this happens you will not be able to find another one local you have to go through China, it will take a weeks and then your down. Also the crank arms are very delicate on this bike be careful if you stand up and ride these arms will fall off or the insides will grind you're gonna have to buy a nice set of crank arms, next issue is the kickstand barely holds up the bike you're going to constantly be having to tighten it, also you're gonna need to invest into a torch arm for the back wheel hub they will get loose as you change tires and your tire will fall out and twist the motor hub wire and that's bad news, also this company sold me an extra battery that did not work after 10 charges they refused to email me back or fix the issue,
    I have had this bike for a year I've put 1300 miles on it it's been a lot of fun if you are willing to put all this time and effort into it to keep it roadworthy.. Knowing all of this it's much better just to spend $1500 on a solid E bike or you're not gonna have these issues
    Remember you get what you pay for it and there's a reason why you can get this bike for 600 bucks

      Gotcha but still take my advice immediately invest into four piston hydraulic brakes you can get a set from Zoom from 100 bucks what is essential also make sure both rotors are 180 also a set of torque arms will cost you $12. I know this bike inside and out
