Dimash wasn't discovered here, he just went viral on Weibo, then RUclips, and gained a vast amount of fans overnight. He was a seasoned professional artist at the time despite his young age of 22 years of age. He has been on stage since he was 5 and had been professional since 2010 when he was 16. I am Singer is nothing like AGT, The Voice or similar. It's a reality show like the many reality shows in China and the other people on the show are all highly regarded professional singers. It's light-hearted and friendly, and each week, one contestant leaves while another enters the show. They all took Dimash under their wings as he was the youngest and the only one of non chinese heritage. They all loved him as the warm, friendly boy who loved to joke around and they understood his immense and rare talent so much that one of the contestants, bought him some rare and costly Chinese medicine when he was sick and lost his voice. The Dimash effect, is that everyone that comes across him falls instantly in love with him, no matter if male or female he just has that magic ✨️ also Brian May heard that Dimash did such a good job with this song and he congratulated him on it 💘

FYI always remember at the Singer competition for professional singers in China the competitors were required to sing only worldwide hit songs. On his very first performance in episode 1, he was told that he had to wow the 500 member audience, who were the judges and music industry professionals, each time he performed or he would lose. Hence he designed each song and performance for maximum wow factor. This is what many reactors have criticized heavily without even researching WHY he sings so over the top in these covers on the Singer. And those who only watch the Singer videos complain that Dimash ONLY sings covers which is ridiculous. Even though he did use a wide vocal range in these performances, they were beautifully and artfully done.

Remember...ALL contestants in that competition were already professional performers. Dimash was a dark horse entry, brought in by one of the show's producers. He is an incredible performer, and the greatest vocalist I have ever seen in my 80+ years on this planet.
There's no real Christmas song but there is one called Wind where Dimash is singing in the snow with people doing winter things like Christmas shopping and snowball fights and there's lots of Christmas decorations and Christmas trees in the background. Santa Claus also makes a brief appearance. It's actually a 2 song performance as he sings Screaming immediately after.

Hello my friend, I'm glad you reacted to his debut, before his career really took off. Despite the fact that he started singing in competitions and events in his country since he was 5 years old, he was not known worldwide like today. This competition, I am a singer, brought together professional singers already known in Asia, mainly Chinese. Dimash had been invited to promote the program and was only supposed to do 2 episodes, but following his first performance, SOS, the enthusiasm he received on social networks in China (more than 600 million views in 24 hours) the organizers had no choice but to keep him in the competition. On the other hand, Dimash could not be the big winner because there was a rule which stipulated that only a singer of Chinese nationality could win the final. This rule was abolished the following year.
Seeing his beginnings moves me because that's when his life literally changed and his biggest dreams came true. Fortunately, he had a very good education and always had both feet on the ground because becoming famous in such a short time at such a young age could have harmed him psychologically. You should react to all the episodes of this program, you will see how much he managed to charm everyone with each of his performances.
To my knowledge, Dimash has never done a Christmas song, being a Muslim, I don't think he celebrates Christmas.

The Show Must Go On is a Queen song, one of Freddie Mercury's last songs he recorded. Dimash was 22 at the time of his performance, so he was very young. And as for a Christmas Dimash song....well as a Muslim, I don't think he celebrates Christmas. The closest thing would be Ave Maria or Wind ruclips.net/video/pqbIFb3M0Cc/видео.html but this MV (from his page) not only has the song Wind, but the song Screaming too, which is not Christmassy lol.

The Singer is next level compared to any AGT or similar. Competitors, are all well known professional Chinese singers with established fan bases, the production is second to none with first class musicians, backup singers, directors, technicians, producers, etc. 14 Episodes, 16 contestants - each required to learn, rehearse and present a new song every week is epic for everyone. An amazing show with incredible talent - I watched 3 seasons from 2017 where I discovered Dimash through to and including 2019. Fantastic entertainment. 🙏🏻🇦🇺

Dimash's voice defies traditional classification.
