Finland is actually filled with great hidden gems, nooks and corners that have great charm and vibe. There are also amazing overlanding spots hidden by the lakes etc. with fire pits, wood provided by different associations etc. Recommend you to travel more here, if you ever happen to find yourselves here again. We can also help you with some hidden tips, if so. There are also many great vegan options in towns where you might not first expect to. Anyways, safe and great travels! Enjoy the summer.

Hi, it seems Finland is a lovely surprise. Enjoy your hit of vegan Cafe delights.

Nice to see that you have had nice time in our home country. Porvoo is one of the coolest cities in Finland, at least for them who are interested in history and like old buildings.
Kia ora guys hope all is well, Norway, "what a absolutely beautiful country" a must travel indeed, thanx for sharing your journey thus far, keep safe mch lov frm new Zealand🥰
Another great video. So true about P4Night, a lot of the reviews are from people that should be on full service campsites, true vanlifers like ourselves only need a safe place to park.
You both cheer me up every morning with your positive and adventurous attitudes in this pretty grey world! Isobel, you are so enthusiastic and how both of you enter the coldest waters for a swim.... Tom's videos are excellent in content and presentation. When he has time perhaps he could tell us what software he uses and how he goes about his edits. Kepp up the good work and keep safe!
Pretty cool. I was born in Porvoo countryside. I haven't lived there for 20 years but I still recognised most of the places you visited. It's a beautiful old city and I'd like to visit it this summer too. I live in Lappeenranta now which is at the Russian border and I love it too.
From your parked Van and parking area, about 300 - 400 meters towards the direction to the city and river bend, there is a Toilet, shower and the emptying gear for the septic tank. It is mainly for the boats visiting Porvoo city from elsewhere, but one can use it for the Vans also (so I've been told, just use it and do not ask around for too much :) ). The review was correct, but not giving you specific enough instructions where the facilities are located :) There used to be a Camping Area on the opposite side of the River, but they have closed it now.
@@LostInTransit There should have been a sign or plate with instructions on where to get the combination digits from (like a city service office, a cafe nearby, web page etc.). Hopefully they have also included English language in these instructions - even today sometimes people forget the English instructions for tourists, even though it should be learned already in the breast feed stage :D
You might want to travel more around Finland, it isn't all that bad, it's just that we are so modest and will say it's horrible in here. Usually it's the people who haven't travelled that much, but for the ones that have, they'll appreciate our exceptional nature etc. There are plenty of decent spots all over the country and I think Helsinki is the most dull city you can go to, except for some stuff, but it's like going to a suburb of London.
We really enjoyed our time in Finland and would love to come back. We were just in a bit of a rush to get to this wedding in Estonia. We will be back one day
What a difference to be back in civilisation after the north. Love the water front and the coffee shops. Your dinner looked yummy, making me hungry!!🍔 Are you catching a ferry over to Sweden on your return? Cheers Mike👍
Reminds me of a friend who got a job ferrying a bush plane from the east coast of America to Alaska. Had to go on an emergency survival course in case he had to make an emergency landing in the middle of now where. One of it was to go through the survival gear. Towards the end, out comes the pump action shot gun. Is it for the bears? Nope, its for the mosquitos. It won't work against mosquitos he said. No its for you, when you are suicidal from the mosquito bites ... .:-)
Yes, come and wear down our roads and facilities, block the trafic, fish our fish, throw your rubbish here, and always remember: do not spend any money.
The fridge runs on electricity, the heater runs on diesel directly from the fuel tank and the hob is gas. We use a fairly small bottle of campingaz gas as it is easier to get through Europe although costs more. I think a bottle lasts a couple of months for us
Suggestion post Estonia: Ask your viewers to let you know about “hidden gems”, places “off the beaten track”, weird and mysterious places, etc. Begin with a country where you have a lot of subscribers. Then make your next trip be exploring the most interesting of the places suggested by your viewers. Love the Vlog !! ☘️

When going to Norway and you want to buy cheaper food. Plan to go thru one of the bigger towns. Norway doesn't need to be expensive. You just need to plan it better :) It all comes to what you plan to eat on your trip. 1) Fruit and Vegetables are HALF the prices at foreign stores owned by foreigners mostly from Pakistan, Vietnam, and Thailand etc. Kiwi, Rema 1000 and Meny etc cant compete with them. This isn't written in any tourist books at all, but it is true. The Norwegian grocery stores can't compete with them. Also, they do import fruit and vegetables that the Norwegian grocery stores don't have. 2) All Norwegian grocery stores do have a 30% or more discount on groceries with a short expiring date. You can save a lot here. Might be harder for vegan people though. Love watching your vlogs. Inspiring. All the best :)
You got as far as Question 3 and then got distracted!! So, fear not, here is Question 4...' What was your favourite loo in Norway??' Q.5...' If you could change the design or improve your van based on your recent travels, what would you do??' Finally, Q.6, the bonus Question. Tom, for 10 points, " Is a bell helpful on a van adventure? " :)

Oh really, everyone we spoke to had really good English, it must have been luck in that case. A few people heard us speaking English and started speaking to us, so maybe our sample was a bit biased
