In the grand scale of things, I have to say folks, that's not bad at all, considering a good bulk of that was the repair to van. Obviously at the minute we are being shafted everywhere with price of fuel too. So well done you are doing rightly 👍👍
Norway can be expensive. Yes. But you can save so much if you want. Water is free. Kiwi, Joker, Meny, and Spar sell First Price products. They are cheaper! Cheap coke for around 10kr etc. Coop Extra, Coop Mega, Coop Prix etc got Xtra products. They are also cheaper. Rema 1000 also got cheaper products. Also. I saw you visit Bergen. When visiting the "bigger" towns in Norway. Make sure to visit Pakistani/Foreign stores. They sell fruits and vegetables at half of the price in the Norwegian grocery stores. A lot to save there! Also. You might have noticed it in the Norwegian grocery stores. There's always a 30% to 50% part where they sell food that is almost out on a date. You can save a lot by checking that. I am buying it as a Norwegian too. So, buying groceries doesn't need to be that expensive. You just need to know where to look. Also. Do not throw out your soda bottles. You can get lots of NOK back by giving them back to the stores. Love your videos. Safe journey :)

It is not only Circle K that have that deal here in Norway. Shell and YX have this also and they all cost about the same and you can have free coffee or other warm to drink for the rest of that year you buy the cup. I believe they also have that deal on this stations in Sweden and maybe Finland also.
Jealous of the ferry charges, LOL, I live on the Isle of Wight, without the Camping and Caravan Club discount it would cost in excess of £200 return for my 7mtr motorhome
I guess the fuel and breakdown costs are a large part of your living expenses, but as you say that is instead of running a house. So it’s working out about £100 a day to live. Wow, it’s so difficult to keep costs low even with being as frugal as you are with food and drink. Thank goodness for free parking/wild camping. Cost in transit. Quite interesting. Please, dont save on food. You must eat well, to feel/function well. Wish you would make a film about found in transit. What is found in transit, for each of you, personally. Does it make you happy? Do you get to come to better terms with yourself? Does it alter the way you see other people? Does it change the way you see routine everyday life? Does it strengthen your realasionship? Did it change you?
Isobel, I am sure I missed what internet cost you. I checked back but I think you might have forgotten?? Otherwise, barring the cost of Diesel I think its kind of amazing.
Yeah we actually forgot to go over it. Our internet situation is not ideal. We were going to get a Norwegian sim but it worked out similar per Mb so we just used roaming and buy a “data passport” from three every few days so we can batch upload videos. We spent almost £90, hopefully we can get a new sim once we get into Eastern Europe
Really interesting insight to costs. Think you guys have done very well & don’t think you could have saved much more. You thought about a patreon page of some kind for whilst your out on the road?
That's actually not bad at all, for a full month of travel you spend very little on food and camping, amazing job finding all the lovely little spots to stay for the night. What's your plan on the journey home, will you be taking ferry or driving through Eastern and Central Europe? 🤔
No plans to head home yet, need to get out of the Schengen area before the 90 day rule so think we might be heading into south east Europe and make this a very long trip on the continent

The only way to tour Norway is to live there and earn those huge salaries for doing more or less nothing. Or, be rich! PAl of mine got a menial job in Oslo...10 years later hes building his 3rd house in Croatia! And, hes bought his daughter a flat !
You have done extremely well indeed in my opinion be happy ciao ciao
Great casual video 😂
PS, IZ and Tom we have told loads of people anout you!! Keep it up XXMary-Lou and Mark
Great insight!
What local SIM cards did you look at?
You can get "unlimited use" (108GB free speed, then 3 mbps) in norway for 350 NOK pr month - 29£
How much would you recommend for 3 months on the road in the UK (continuous)? I've got a 3 month sabatical and hitting the road in my converted Berlingo. She's called Cleo :') I've got plenty of savings, but I don't want to bust through the whole lot! xx
Where is all the sun on our trip so far? Your videos have so much sun 😍
Yea Norway has 24hr sun at times BC of the positioning of the earth abit like Alaska but that would definitely do my head in
Cost in transit.
This was really useful thank you. 👏👏👏
A ferry from Norway to Lofoten eh :D
fuel prices at a all time high, doesnt help haha... did you consider going on counchsurfing or the wwoof farm thing for accomadation etc/
We have done both those things in the past, but now we have the van the exchange is fairly one sided unless we were learning new skill for example
Really interesting insight to costs. Think you guys have done very well & don’t think you could have saved much more. You thought about a patreon page of some kind for whilst your out on the road?
Your little dances make chuckle. Is fuel more expensive than it is in the UK at the moment?
It probably similar at the moment. max we payed was about £1.90, average was more like £1.80 I think
Tom an Iz you two are a nice couple
That's actually not bad at all, for a full month of travel you spend very little on food and camping, amazing job finding all the lovely little spots to stay for the night. What's your plan on the journey home, will you be taking ferry or driving through Eastern and Central Europe? 🤔
No plans to head home yet, need to get out of the Schengen area before the 90 day rule so think we might be heading into south east Europe and make this a very long trip on the continent
@@LostInTransit oh that's right, well, if you'll be travelling through Poland or Czech Republic there's a few places I would recommend, also Croatia - so beautiful! Anyway, hope all your travels to Estonia and further on will go easy and safe for you guys 😊 cheers from Ireland ☘😉
Whats been your income (since leaving UK)? That would be interesting!
I’m sure many of us would happily pay that to have the adventures your on. Stay safe, drekkly…..
Great info, thanks a lot, currently building my van. Fuel: is your van petrol or diesel ? I presume diesel. What is your average fuel consumption (miles per gallon or liters per 100km). That would help me estimate my fuel cost.
yeh we are diesel, no idea on fuel consumption I’m afraid. We just feed her when she’s thirsty, haha
I think travelling through Norway is like when you go to Iceland EXPENSIVE! You were unlucky that the breakdown didn't happen in France or Germany you would payed al least 50% less.Anyway you have the best memories ever.
I think you have did well with the money:), you should get a few sponsers onboard Isobel 😁👍
you forgot the2074 charity shop visits lol for the things you seen i say thats a bargain, and your channel subs has been going crazy so hope you reap the rewards
😂
Doing well Norway is mad expensive
Viewing all of your videos. They are positive, happy and beautiful. Thank you.
I'm not sure Norway is any more expensive for fuel these days Isabel.
I think you are probably right
For the moment the fuel prices in Norway are the second highest in the world.
@@checkyourfacts6457 a quick Google suggests £2.10 per litre in Norway. Its £2.00 in few places in the UK from what I read.
@@deekayunited3445 fuel prices fluctuate with as much as 50p a day here now. Googling prices I see that some lists do not include the sales tax of 25%, and some do. But the main factor in the price is the international market, so any holiday anywhere with a lot of driving will be expensive this year.
@@checkyourfacts6457 Agreed. Its blimmin expensive wherever you go!
Did I miss how much internet/telecom was?
OMG!!!! Ive been travelling only 3 months, I've come bak and notice RUclips have given everybody these '@' tags, can anybody explain WTF is going on with this please?
Did you like Ireland.
Question, if you are on the road exploring all the time, how do you afford this? I live at home, alone, work several jobs and finding it tough, with expenses nowhere near this
All the money we make at the moment is through RUclips. We don’t pay rent or bills, this is between two people and to be honest this is quite a bit higher than we would usually spend
Out of interest how much do you guys spend on insurance?
Interesting. How do we buy you a coffee?
There is a link in the description, but honestly there is no pressure, give us a like and we will be more than happy.
link in the description
i found your accounts very useful so i wont be going to them foriegn parts lol
That all sounds very expensive in my opinion. Wow. I know your paying for an experience but going anywhere yourself these days costs an arm and a leg. This proves it.
Nice trouser
The price of gas is ridiculous.
My van has a 7.3 liter gas motor that drinks like a drunken sailor 😱
At least 2/3 of your ENTIRE TOTAL would have been spent on rent anyway, if you were living in a house/apartment. So it could be an awful lot worse - even though fuel is a killer now. I guess you could buy a fancy coffee machine for the van?
Love the idea of a barista machine in the van!
@@LostInTransit Doooo it
I guessed 3k, and with ferries and tolls, you gonna reach 3k.
Yeah I think you are probably right, annoying with the breakdown. Hopefully it will be a lot lower once we get back down south
Lol may come bk to ireland and drink sum more guinness
In Hungary for Hungarians petrol is 1 GBP/liter. We buy from Russia, we will not fund the war between USA and Russia happening in Ukraine.
Just being nosey and you can tell us to get lost, but would be very interested to hear about the income side of your finances. Do subscribers like us (who do click the thumbs up every time and try to comment down below) help with your channel income… or do you only get pennies from RUclips?
It definitely helps! RUclips is our only income so any every view, like and comment helps us to grow and continue
You are funny 😂😂
Always watch the Ads for you! 😍😍😍
But Of Course the UK Counts plus Ireland
Wait until you get the toll road bill in a couple of months. 🤣
😬 eek
@@LostInTransit There are normally alternative roads that aren’t toll roads. We only encountered two roads that we couldn’t find an alternative for. The joy of my Tesla is that you can specify avoid toll roads. :)
Yes fuel prices have skyrocketed, but the fuel companies have vastly increased their profits, apparently. Which makes me wonder who's fooling who. Likewise with the electricity companies, all making huge profits. Keep smiling you two ! They can't tax smiles and laughter, or ... maybe they can !
🚐💨🇳🇴❤💰
👌🏻👍👌🏻🥰
Every thing is very costly and its so awesome every thing is connecting with love it's sounds so comfortable lovely 💙🥰💙😁 T R ouble
Scary !
For the adventure you have had = Bargain !!
1st !
Is your RUclips income your only source of income now that Izzy has given up her job ? If so, I would suspect you would need to be dipping into savings as well. Good luck anyways 👍
It does seem like a bargain for all the large living you have done! I wish you had a go fund me so that we could make a donation for all the positive energy you deposit in our emotional bank accounts
Are yall vegan and stuff?
We are vegan, not sure about stuff, haha
