    It's nice to hear someone come forward and speak the truth about them in a very wrongly bias world.
    The only contest I don't think they can hold their own in is beauty, they are ugly but who cares from a price point they do work and will always beat a pointy stick!!

    Love seeing independent videos like this. Once quick thing that sticks out, the Redball 20 round mags are NOT two mags coupled together. They left and right halves. The collar in the middle is an over-insertion stop. Great video guys!!!

    I love my 9mm carbine. I was in the market for a Marlin Camp 9 but I went to a buddies place and had the 995TS. It was so much fun to shoot that I went straight to the range and ordered one. For the price of the Camp 9 I got a great gun and a couple thousand rounds of ammo. For the price you simply cannot beat the Hi Point carbine especially with the warranty and the fact that it is made in Ohio.

    Thank U for not being peer-pressured into bashing Hi Point. I’m going to collect Hi Points, every model and caliber they have, pistols and carbines, and I will do so proudly. Thanks again!

    I have a few weapons in my collection and I own a 995, and 4595, both are very accurate, inexpensive, and reliable. The break in was easy and didn't use an excessive amount of ammo, unlike my Colt H-bar, or my AK-56-S! Both absorbing between 1200 & 1500 rounds!

    Thank you for an honest review. RUclips is full of what I call Tatical knuckle draggers who like to knock HP firearms to make themselves seem superior. I equate this to the Harley Davidson riders who knock Japanese brands. I love my HP carbine. It's been an awesome rifle. Anyone who Google's Sign failures can see that spending some times as much as three times more for a pistol does not guarantee a trouble free gun ownership. Thanks again .

      You are correct with the motorcycle analogy, I own a full dress Yamaha Roadstar and road all day with a Harley Davidson group, and at the end of the day. Sitting having a beer we discussed our bikes and I mentioned I was riding rice, nobody would believe me until I showed them the insignia on the cam case.

    Just FYI if you want your high Hi-Point to run more reliably take it apart and clean up the running surfaces.
    I took a brand new one apart once and the underside of the slide was still rough and painted.
    I smoothed it all out and polished it up, and it ran like a dream after that.
    For something that sells at their price, that's to be expected...
    People love to hate on them, but I think they deserve respect for not only making firearms attainable for basically anyone, but sticking with that for so damn long...

    I have owned a C9 for about 20 years. In that time about 3,000 rounds have run through the gun. Almost no malfunctions. The only thing negative I have to say is it's a booger to disassemble to clean, but this gun had 1,000+ rounds through it before it the slide would not hold opened after the last round was fired. I was young & dumb and is my first semi-auto. I have not been disappointed with this pistol. I can highly recommend Hi-Point.

    • @blankeny
      @blankeny Год назад

      I've read that Hipoint doesn't recommend cleaning until after 1500 rounds have been fired, don't know if that is true, but I read it on You Tube!!!

    • @snewberry8669
      @snewberry8669 Год назад

      @@blankeny it was about 1500 rounds when my C9 slide would not stay open after the last shot. I did this purposely to see when it gunked up to a point it needed cleaned.

    • @blankeny
      @blankeny Год назад

      @@snewberry8669 Very good, I never follow directions and cleaned mine before firing it, then had it powdercoated in Nordic Silver and changed the grips. When I got the weapon back from the powdercoaters, I couldn't get the firing pin back into the weapon. I had to work on the slide with a Dremell to refit it. Then got the idea to polish the slab sides. And now it is a custom C-9...

    This is good to know information. I just purchased one of the carbines. It is in OD Green so not quite as ugly. It will be a Christmas present to me so will not be shooting it until then. I think it will fill me need. I really do not think it is ugly compared to some of the new items from Keltec.

    Not sure why Hi-Point got such a bad rap. Maybe because Hi-Point is associated with a street gangster gun. Hi-Points are built like tanks. I have seen tests where a bolt was welded inside the barrel to try to destroy the gun when fired and it held together. The carbine was initially designed for use by police forces and had to be robust and reliable. I looked at the Hi-Point carbine but decided to go with the Keltec Sub2000 since I was looking for more of a fun gun and the Sub2000 folded and took the Glock 33rd magazines.

    The Barrels. that you are displaying are probably from the early RUclips videos of guys cranking bolts in the end of the muzzle trying to. Blow the barrels up. These are the AR guys that won't try that with their guns. But then tell you high points are junk.

    They shoot, but they say not to use JHP and with good cause. I can't get a full mag to cycle with them. FMJ cycle well, but once every 10 mags there is a failure of some kind. Still, if it's all you have and can afford you'll probably be good to defend your home.

    • @flatplaneoregon4605
      @flatplaneoregon4605 5 лет назад

      You should be able to run jhp after the first 500 or so rounds if you have issues running them when it's new. Break in, .but what do I know.
      My 4595 carbine has never had a failure of any kind.
      Hollow point full metal jacket in brass aluminium or steel case.
      And if it ever did have a problem I'd just call 'Mom' or send it in, and they would make it right.
      Love my Hi Points as much as any of my firearms.

    Only depend your life on a hipoint if that’s all you can afford. Buy better. Just because they go boom doesn’t mean they’re good. They’re still just one step better than a pointy stick.

    • @dragnridr05
      @dragnridr05 3 года назад +3

      I'll take a hi point that is reliable and takes a .50 BMG to stop than an AK-47 that a grain of sand will shut it down. Watch Demolition Ranch and see what takes to kill a hi Point, then factor in the No questions asked lifetime warranty only matched by Henry Rifles.
      I love Ar-15s as much as any other gun nut, but I'll trust a Hi Point with my life as any other gun.
      Hi Points are also made with the budget minders in mind. Not everyone can lay down $750-$1000 on a rifle or $500-$600 for a pistol.
      I am getting my HP JCP .40S&W for UNDER $180 and the matching HP 4095 for less than $275. With the money I'm saving, I can afford 4 more mags that fit both guns, and getting ammo for both of them as well.

    • @blankeny
      @blankeny Год назад

      In one thousand rounds, I've had one fte and zero ftf and the fte was the ammo's fault. That was in my C-9, never had a problem with my JHP .45 acp pistol, my 995 or my 4595 carbines...
