When someone makes a good point to me, I have to accept it.
Roger : yeah, she does what she can because I raised her to be strong not weak like you whining crybabies. The world is for the strong, like her and me. The rest of you can all go to hell.
@@KilljoyDJBM See, if Dylan and Dusty make the hypothetical points I wish they'd make, I'd be fascinated to see if Roger would respond hypercritically or logically, or better yet, understand them. Fair is fair.
@@johnrainsman6650 I guess I can't really say what Roger would but I'd imagine that a mean but fairly intelligent bully used to getting his way, could react with these words in that situation. It's just a different perspective. From a successful, domineering person, being domineering might look an admirable trait.
I used to think it would be the worst thing ever, but the other year due to a work I couldn’t join my immediate family on a Christmas holiday they went on… and it wasn’t bad. I slept in, I stayed in bed, got to watch what I wanted on TV, ate what I wanted and didn’t have a mountain of dishes to wash afterwards. It was a good day.
@@chaosrubix8750 well I love the saying “It’s better alone than in bad company” I am glad you appreciated your alone time especially on the holidays that put a lot of social pressure on people
@alifakhrzadeh1544 Exactly. It doesn't make sense for you to have to spend time with family that bad mouth each other and argue all year just because it's Christmas. It's toxic to say the least. My own family is like that and I spent my Christmas alone. Far better than I realised. Doesn't mean I wanna spend it alone every year. I have my best friend who is very dear to me, literally like a sister to me who I wanted to spend Christmas with but she was on duty at the Naval base
I spend every Christmas at the movies alone. I'm not embarrassed. The staff knows me. Sometimes I get free pie. And sometimes I even get to stand next to a cute girl in line.
Roger just up and walking out on his family is terrible, I honestly don't know what was going through his mind when he made that decision. Also, the woman dancing with Mel Gibson looks familiar. Does anybody know who she is?

If it’s not a movie club then I wouldn’t want to be friendly with some stranger. It’s kinda difficult to just trust anyone. These days especially as there are sooo many creeps out there.
Well, no. That's not her issue with Dusty. Her issue with Dusty was merely his marrying her mom and "replacing" her dad. But you do raise a good point. He starts this together-Christmas for HIS kids, not Adrianna. HIS kids get both parents. Adrianna does not (up until Brad invites him to get back at Dusty). And that's just the other thing. Dusty could've accepted Brad's idea to invite Roger, but he refused because of the treatment from the guy. While I understand that, it's still kind of selfish, because now his stepdaughter only has her mom, step-side, and a few people who have no relation to her. Talk about awkward. And then he hypocritically makes Brad out to be a biological-son-favoring stepdad, because he lets Griffy--not his stepkids--sleep in his and Sarah's room. Brad should've stated my point to Dusty. Besides, if Dusty had invited Roger, he could've said to him, "You know, Roger, I'm surprised you would treat me like this when I did you a big favor. I kindly sacrificed MY chance of a good Christmas so your daughter could have one with her own dad. That's why I invited you." Think Roger would've understood the implication that he's a penalty to Dusty?
@@johnrainsman6650 Okay that true and you make a lot of good points. But at the end Roger was willing to just leave his family there with Dusty. So at the end Dusty was a better Dad to Adriana than Roger because he wanted Roger to stay when Roger was determined to leave.
@@frankenstein974 But do you think Roger would've understood my point if it had come from Dusty? How he was so selfless to invite Roger for Adrianna and risk his own good Christmas...given how Roger is gonna treat him like always? If I were in Roger's shoes, that would've made things clear for me.
